For a self-managed India VPS, Endercloud lists a Mumbai plan from ₹999/month with 2 TB of bandwidth; CloudPe advertises VPS service from ₹930/month and zero egress fees. Neither listing establishes that its virtual machines can encode and stream your archive continuously at your chosen quality. Compare the total cost and transfer terms, then test the exact setup unattended before relying on it. If you only need uploaded podcast episodes looped on YouTube, a managed cloud service may mean less server administration.
Which option fits an always-on podcast archive?
For a do-it-yourself setup, compare VPS offers on more than the headline price: check included monthly transfer, any egress limits or fees, CPU and memory, storage, region, and the effort required to install, monitor, and recover your encoder. For an archive-only loop, also compare managed services that play uploaded material without requiring you to administer an encoder host.

| Option | Published offer or feature | What to verify | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo — managed cloud loop | StreamNeo says it loops uploaded recordings to YouTube from the cloud, with up to 4K/60fps at one flat price per slot. Its offer update is dated September 19, 2026. StreamNeo | Current terms, storage needs, accepted media, account access, and the workflow that suits your archive. | These are vendor claims, not an independent performance test. |
| Endercloud — self-managed VPS | Its INDIA-VPS-8GB listing starts at ₹999/month and specifies Mumbai hosting, 3 vCores, 8 GB DDR4 ECC RAM, 50 GB NVMe storage, 2 TB bandwidth, and a stated 1 Gbps port. Endercloud India VPS | Current checkout price, included transfer period and measurement, operating system, and whether the plan suits your encoder workload. | Listed resources and port speed do not prove sustained streaming performance. |
| CloudPe — VPS with advertised zero egress fees | CloudPe advertises VPS service from ₹930/month, infrastructure in Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai, and zero egress fees. CloudPe VPS | Price and availability for the chosen region and plan, the meaning of “zero egress,” any transfer limits, and workload performance. | These are vendor claims; the listing does not provide an encoder benchmark. |
| StreamSetu — managed cloud loop | Its page describes 24/7 cloud streaming, playlist scheduling and looping, and monthly billing of ₹649 per channel plus ₹49 per 10 GB storage, with 18% GST stated separately. StreamSetu | Current price and feature terms, storage required, and whether its workflow meets your needs. | Prices and features may change; the terms have not been independently tested. |
Choose a VPS if you want control over the server and are prepared to maintain the streaming software. A managed service is worth considering if your requirement is simply to play an uploaded archive continuously. In either case, test the intended workload and confirm billing terms before committing.

How much bandwidth does a continuous stream use?
For an always-on channel, outbound data can be as important as the monthly VPS fee. Estimate from your encoded bitrate and actual operating hours, then allow extra headroom for protocol overhead and reconnections. At 5 Mbps, a continuous 30-day stream sends roughly 1.62 TB in decimal units: 5 megabits per second × 2,592,000 seconds ÷ 8. This is a calculation using YouTube’s recommended H.264 bitrate for 1080p at 30 fps, not a provider’s measured usage figure. YouTube’s live encoder settings

That estimate leaves limited margin under Endercloud’s listed 2 TB allowance at that bitrate. Check how the provider measures included bandwidth, the period over which it applies, and what happens if you exceed it. A 1 Gbps port is a transfer rate, not a monthly data allowance: it does not mean the plan includes 1 TB or 2 TB of transfer.
Choose YouTube encoder settings for the archive
YouTube’s official guidance supports RTMP/RTMPS and lists H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video options, with frame rates up to 60 fps. Pick a bitrate and resolution that match the source material and available upload capacity; a higher setting is not automatically better for a podcast archive. YouTube’s listed H.264 recommendations include 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 3 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps; its corresponding H.265/AV1 recommendations are 10 Mbps and 6 Mbps. Check YouTube’s current table for the full settings by resolution, frame rate, and ingest mode. YouTube encoder settings
Rank #2
- Rate control: Use constant bitrate (CBR) for RTMP/RTMPS, as YouTube recommends.
- Keyframes: Set a two-second interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds.
- Protocol: For an RTMP workflow, YouTube recommends RTMPS, which adds TLS/SSL encryption. YouTube’s RTMPS guidance
- Test the real workload: Include audio and motion similar to the stream you plan to run, and monitor stream health. A static cover image with spoken audio and a visually elaborate episode layout are different workloads; no provider listing here establishes how its VPS will handle either continuously.
Set up and test a self-managed VPS
- Confirm live access. Enable live streaming on the YouTube channel and check that YouTube allows the planned broadcast. Enabling live streaming for the first time may take up to 24 hours. YouTube Help: create a live stream
- Select a plan and region. Confirm the current checkout price, monthly transfer allowance or egress terms, storage, and available region. Make sure the VPS operating system supports your chosen encoder and that you can administer it.
- Prepare the archive and encoder. Check that the media files play correctly and that the encoder can loop or schedule them in the order you want. Configure resolution, frame rate, audio, CBR bitrate, and the two-second keyframe interval to suit YouTube’s guidance and your source material.
- Configure YouTube ingest. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and copy the stream key into the encoder’s RTMPS destination settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, include it in public screenshots, or leave it in an exposed script. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Run an unattended test. Start with the intended episode material, audio, and overlays. Verify stream health in YouTube, then leave the VPS and encoder running long enough to check for interruptions, resource pressure, storage issues, and unexpected transfer use. A short successful start does not establish that a stream will remain stable for a month.
- Plan monitoring and recovery. Decide how you will detect a stopped process, reconnect after a dropped ingest, and restart after a VPS reboot. Test these recovery paths rather than assuming a listed plan or encoder will handle them automatically.
Check the content and channel rules before looping episodes
Technical ability to send a continuous feed does not settle whether the material is permitted or eligible for channel features. Use audio, music, artwork, and other elements only when you have the necessary rights, and review YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies for the channel and content. Repeatedly broadcasting an archive does not by itself establish monetization eligibility; assess whether the material meets YouTube’s reused-content rules and adds sufficient original value. For an archive-only YouTube loop, StreamNeo’s stated workflow is: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the stream running without a computer at home; uploads stream as made up to 4K/60fps at one flat price per slot; and StreamNeo says it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Its first day is free with no card. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. These are StreamNeo’s stated features and terms, not an independent uptime guarantee. For Indian creators, UPI is supported; cards are accepted in India and worldwide.

What to verify before paying
- Confirm the provider’s current checkout price, renewal terms, included transfer, and overage or egress policy.
- Compare estimated monthly transfer at your chosen bitrate with the plan allowance, leaving room for overhead and reconnects.
- Test the exact encoder, media, and schedule unattended; provider specifications alone do not establish continuous performance.
- For a managed service, verify storage, supported workflow, recovery behavior, and account access against your requirements.
