Best Budget GPU for a 4K 60fps YouTube Live Channel in India

For a budget 4K60 YouTube Live setup in India, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB is the best-supported starting point for hardware encoding—not a proven best card for every 4K60 gaming stream. AMD lists AV1, HEVC and H.264 encoding, and India tracker listings put some RX 7600 boards below many RTX 4060 listings. Those tracker prices are not guaranteed checkout offers, and encoding a 4K60 feed is different from rendering a demanding game at 4K60 on the same PC.

If “4K60” means only the outgoing stream, prioritize codec support, stable upload bandwidth and a test of your complete setup. If it also means gaming at 4K60, verify game-specific performance before choosing a GPU; the RX 7600 is positioned by AMD for 1080p gaming and streaming, not established here as a 4K60 gaming solution.

What YouTube requires for a 4K60 live stream

YouTube accepts RTMP/RTMPS ingestion and lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video codecs, with frame rates up to 60 fps. Its recommended bitrate for 2160p at 60 fps depends on the codec:

Codec Minimum video bitrate Recommended video bitrate
AV1 or H.265/HEVC 10 Mbps 35 Mbps
H.264 14 Mbps 50 Mbps

These are YouTube Help’s 2026 guidance figures; the page’s publication date is not stated. Do not treat one bitrate as a universal 4K60 requirement. YouTube transcodes live video for viewers and recommends testing with similar audio and movement before going live. YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance is the reference for the stream you configure.

GPU shortlist: encoding evidence, price indications and limits

GPU What the available evidence establishes How to weigh it
AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB AMD lists AV1, HEVC and H.264 encoding. Its specifications list 8GB GDDR6 memory, 165W typical board power and a minimum 550W PSU recommendation. An India tracker listed board variants around ₹24,500–₹27,595. Best-supported budget shortlist candidate when the exact local offer and the rest of the PC fit. Encoding support does not establish 4K60 gaming performance. AMD specifications · GetPC.in tracker
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB NVIDIA lists 8GB GDDR6 specifications. Its OBS guide identifies AV1 support for RTX 40 series and YouTube AV1 support. India tracker entries were around ₹28,000–₹34,500. Consider it if you prefer NVIDIA’s OBS workflow or need other NVIDIA software features. The available price evidence does not establish better or worse value for every board listing. NVIDIA broadcasting guide · NVIDIA specifications · GetPC.in tracker
Intel Arc A380 Intel’s product guide describes AV1 streaming and a role in a dedicated streaming rig or as a secondary encoding card. A specialized encoder possibility; the available evidence does not establish current India pricing, stock or suitability for gaming and encoding together at 4K60. Intel Arc streaming guide

The tracker figures are 2026 snapshots, not controlled comparisons or guaranteed sale prices. Board variants can differ, and the listings do not establish checkout availability, delivery cost or warranty terms. Check the exact listing before deciding that one card is the cheapest or best value. NVIDIA describes NVENC as independent of graphics/CUDA cores, which can offload encoding work; it does not prove the GPU can render a particular game at 4K60 while streaming. NVIDIA’s guide also says upload bandwidth and codec affect quality, suggests using roughly 75% of measured upload bandwidth for the stream, and warns that constrained bitrates can show more artifacts in high-motion scenes. Treat that 75% figure as NVIDIA guidance, not a guarantee from your ISP; for YouTube 4K60, use the codec-specific guidance above as the primary reference.

How to choose for your actual channel

  1. Separate encoding from rendering. Decide whether the PC only encodes an existing 4K60 feed or also renders a demanding game at 4K60. The latter needs a game-specific performance check; encoder support alone cannot answer it.
  2. Compare the exact local offer. Check the in-stock board’s delivered price, warranty, dimensions and power connectors rather than relying on a tracker range.
  3. Check power and case fit. For the RX 7600, AMD specifies 165W typical board power and recommends a minimum 550W PSU. Confirm your particular card’s requirements and that it fits your case.
  4. Choose a codec and bitrate supported by your upload. Use YouTube’s 4K60 figures above and account for other household or workplace upload use. A speed test is a measurement at a moment in time, not a promise of uninterrupted bandwidth.
  5. Test the whole pipeline before a real broadcast. Stream a representative scene with similar motion and audio, then check YouTube’s stream health and the resulting picture. YouTube’s instruction is direct: “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.”

Common problems and what to check

  • Stream drops or becomes unstable: check sustained upload capacity, network congestion and whether the configured bitrate leaves adequate headroom. Test again under conditions similar to the planned broadcast.
  • Blocky motion or visible artifacts: fast movement is demanding at a constrained bitrate. Confirm the selected codec and bitrate against YouTube’s 4K60 recommendations and test representative high-motion footage.
  • Stream is 4K60, but the game is not: this is a rendering workload, not merely an encoder setting. Check performance for the specific game and settings; the cited evidence does not establish that the RX 7600 can render all games at 4K60.
  • Card does not fit or power system is unsuitable: verify the exact board’s dimensions and power requirements, along with PSU capacity and connectors, before purchase. AMD’s 550W recommendation applies to the RX 7600 product guidance, not necessarily every component configuration.
  • Price looks unusually low or stock is unclear: confirm the seller’s checkout price, availability, shipping and warranty terms. The tracker does not guarantee any of them.

Keep a YouTube stream running without leaving a PC on

If the goal is continuous playback of uploaded videos rather than a live camera or PC-rendered game, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos on YouTube from the cloud, so no computer, OBS or home connection has to stay on. It is not a substitute for a GPU when you need to render a game live.
