The community boat table lists the Jetski at 180 studs per second (S/ps) for C$50,000 at level 60 as a practical shop upgrade, while the Luxury Speedboat is a less expensive 150 S/ps option at level 50. The Airboat is listed at 210 S/ps, but its level-1000 requirement and C$5 million price put it firmly in endgame territory. These are listed stats, not tested travel times; check the Shipwright and current in-game UI before spending.
Which Fisch boat should you buy for fast travel?
Choose by what you can access now, then weigh speed against price, handling and seats. The community-maintained Fisch Wiki boat table defines speed as top speed in studs per second. Its entries are useful for comparing listed maximums, but they do not establish how long a particular island-to-island trip takes.

Steering is listed in degrees and acceleration in the wiki’s own units; no comparative handling test or route-time measurement is established.

That depends on your level, currency and access to special unlocks. Among the listed standard shop boats, the Airboat has the highest speed in this comparison, but its level-1000 gate and C$5 million cost make it a poor general recommendation for most players. At level 60, the Jetski is a substantial listed-speed step up from the early boats; at level 50, the Luxury Speedboat offers a cheaper upgrade.

The wiki also lists faster boats tied to mastery, events or paid access. Treat them as conditional choices, not ordinary shop recommendations:
- Mossjaw: 300 S/ps, listed as unlocked through Elder Mossripper mastery.
- Reborn Flying Dutchman: 250 S/ps, associated with FischFright 2025; availability labels differ across the wiki page, so current access is not established.
- Frostbite: 299 S/ps, listed with 100° steering, 1.5 acceleration and a 1,999 Robux gamepass.
- Pengu: 255 S/ps, listed with a 799 Robux bundle.
- Ancient Megalodon: 230 S/ps, listed through Rod of the Forgotten Fang mastery.
Event availability, mastery requirements, shop status and paid-product details can change. Confirm them in game before planning around a special unlock. A paid boat is not shown to be necessary for progression.

Are the early boats worth buying for speed?
Not if speed is the main goal. The wiki lists these early options at substantially lower top speeds than the mid- and late-game choices:
| Boat | Listed speed | Listed price | Level requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rowboat | 25 S/ps | C$700 | 0 |
| Surfboard | 30 S/ps | C$1,500 | 0 |
| Bass Boat | 45 S/ps | C$6,000 | 0 |
| Hovercraft | 55 S/ps | C$7,000 | 15 |
| Speedboat | 85 S/ps | C$15,000 | 20 |
These are the table’s listed figures, not measured point-to-point results. If you are still early in the game, avoid spending heavily just to own a boat with a modest speed increase; save toward a practical upgrade you can actually use.

How to decide whether a speed upgrade is worth it
FischGuide’s practical advice is to buy a travel-speed upgrade when island-to-island travel is taking too much of your session, while prioritizing a rod that can reliably handle your route if catches are still failing. The guide also recommends checking seat capacity for group play and treats event, mastery and bundle boats as special unlocks (FischGuide boat advice; accessed October 3, 2026).
- Set your access ceiling. Check your level, available C$ and mastery progress, and decide whether you want to pursue event or paid options. Compare only boats you can obtain.
- Compare listed speed. Use S/ps as a top-speed figure, not as a guarantee of travel time saved on your route.
- Account for handling. Steering describes how quickly the boat rotates, while acceleration describes how quickly it reaches top speed. A higher maximum does not by itself show which boat feels better on a route with turns.
- Check seats before buying for a group. A fast two-seat boat may not suit a larger party; the listed Airboat capacity is five, compared with two for the Jetski and three for the Luxury Speedboat.
- Buy when the bottleneck is travel. If your rod is not reliable for the areas you visit, improve fishing capability first. Consider a speed purchase once transit—not missed catches—is consuming too much play time.
What the listed speed numbers do—and do not—tell you
The boat table is community-maintained, not an official developer-confirmed test, and it explicitly flags outdated portions. The listed speeds do not establish actual route times or real-world speed, and the sources do not provide a comparative test of acceleration or turning on the same route. Use the numbers to shortlist options, then verify current stats and availability in Fisch before spending.
