Best Beginner Turntables with Built-In Speakers (2026 Buying Guide)

Best overall for a compact all-in-one setup: Victrola Eastwood Signature. Best for a larger multi-format music center: Victrola Navigator. Both put stereo speakers in the turntable cabinet, so you can play records without buying an amplifier or separate speakers first. If you are willing to place two speakers beside the turntable, Victrola Harmony gives you a more upgradable layout. Audio-Technica’s AT-LP60XBT is a straightforward automatic Bluetooth turntable, but it has no built-in speakers and therefore needs wireless speakers, powered speakers, headphones or an audio system.

No cited source provides independent listening tests that establish a sound-quality winner among these models. Terms such as “high-fidelity” and “crisp, clear” are manufacturer descriptions, not laboratory or editorial test results. Choose by speaker arrangement, record speeds, space, connections and future upgrade plans rather than by those phrases.

Quick picks

Model Speaker arrangement Record speeds Other playback and connections Best fit
Victrola Eastwood Signature (VTA-73-ESP) Built-in stereo speakers 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM Bluetooth input, Vinyl Stream Bluetooth output, RCA, ⅛-inch headphone output Someone who wants the smallest, simplest all-in-one system
Victrola Navigator (VTA-600B) Built-in stereo speakers 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM Bluetooth input, VinylStream output, CD, cassette, FM radio, USB, aux, RCA and headphone output A household that wants one cabinet for several music formats
Victrola Harmony Two separate included bookshelf speakers 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth output, RCA and 3.5 mm aux A beginner who can spare speaker space and wants a separable system
Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT No built-in speakers 33⅓ and 45 RPM Bluetooth, switchable phono preamp and wired RCA output Someone who already owns compatible speakers or headphones

The first two are the direct answers to “turntable with built-in speakers.” Harmony is an included-speaker alternative, not an internal-speaker model. The AT-LP60XBT belongs in the comparison because its automatic operation and Bluetooth connectivity appeal to beginners, but its speaker requirement changes the setup and budget.

What “built-in speakers” changes

An internal-speaker turntable combines the record player and amplification in one cabinet. You place it on a stable surface, connect power, select the record speed and start playing. There is no separate receiver, phono stage or pair of powered speakers to match before you hear music.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

That simplicity has a trade-off. The speaker drivers must share space with the motor, platter and tonearm, and you cannot reposition them for stereo width. A separate-speaker system gives you more control over placement and a clearer upgrade path. Editorial guidance from Louder describes separate speakers or a hi-fi as the more flexible route; that is a general setup principle, not a tested ranking of the specific models here.

Check the signal path before buying. A turntable can have a Bluetooth receiver for phone audio, a Bluetooth transmitter for sending record audio to another device, or both. Those functions are different. A model that accepts music from your phone is not automatically able to transmit a record to Bluetooth headphones.

Victrola Eastwood Signature: the compact all-in-one choice

What you get

Victrola identifies the Eastwood Signature as model VTA-73-ESP. It is a belt-driven, three-speed player with custom-tuned built-in stereo speakers and anti-vibration technology. The listed speeds are 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM, covering the three speeds used by the records in this comparison.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The specification lists an Audio-Technica AT-3600LA cartridge and a silicone slip mat. For wired connections, the cabinet has RCA output and a ⅛-inch headphone output. That lets you keep the internal speakers for casual listening or route the signal to compatible external equipment.

Bluetooth directions

Eastwood Signature has Bluetooth input for streaming from a phone or another smart device through the turntable’s speakers. It also has Victrola’s Vinyl Stream output, which sends record playback to an external Bluetooth speaker. In practical terms, “phone to turntable” and “record to Bluetooth speaker” are separate use cases; read the front-panel labels and pair the correct direction.

Size and placement

Victrola lists dimensions of 13.46 × 12.76 × 5.16 inches and a weight of 6.5 pounds. That is substantially easier to fit on a small shelf or desk than the Navigator. Leave enough clearance for the dust cover and tonearm movement, and use a level, rigid surface away from strong vibration.

Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
  • What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.

Who should choose it

  • Choose Eastwood Signature when you want one compact cabinet and do not need CD, cassette or radio playback.
  • Choose it when 78 RPM support matters but you still want a small footprint.
  • Choose it when you may occasionally send records to an external Bluetooth speaker without abandoning the built-in speakers.

The cited material does not include an independent frequency-response measurement, distortion test or comparative listening result for Eastwood Signature. Treat the built-in speaker and anti-vibration statements as the manufacturer’s feature description.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Victrola Navigator: a larger multi-format music center

Formats beyond vinyl

Victrola identifies the Navigator as model VTA-600B. It is also a three-speed belt-driven turntable with built-in stereo speakers, Bluetooth input and VinylStream output. Its distinction is the number of additional sources in the same cabinet: CD, cassette, FM radio, USB and aux are listed alongside the turntable.

This makes Navigator useful for a room where several people use different formats. You can play an older cassette collection, listen to radio or connect an aux source without adding separate components. The listed outputs include RCA and a headphone connection, so the internal speakers are not your only listening option.

Size and trade-offs

Victrola lists the Navigator at 18.2 × 13.2 × 10 inches and 16.5 pounds. It is wider, deeper, taller and more than twice the listed weight of Eastwood Signature. Measure the shelf or cabinet, including the space needed to open the lid and operate the controls, before ordering.

Navigator’s larger cabinet and longer feature list do not establish better vinyl sound. No independent source in the available material compares its record playback with Eastwood Signature, Harmony or the AT-LP60XBT. Buy Navigator for its formats and furniture-style footprint, not because a feature count proves a superior turntable section.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Who should choose it

  • Choose Navigator when CD, cassette, FM radio, USB or aux are important enough to justify the larger cabinet.
  • Choose it for a shared living space where one self-contained music center is easier than several separate devices.
  • Skip it if you only need vinyl and Bluetooth and have limited shelf depth or lifting capacity.

Victrola Harmony: separate speakers for a more flexible layout

Harmony is not a turntable with speakers inside the main cabinet. It is a system containing the turntable, two matching bookshelf speakers and speaker cables. The speakers can be placed apart to create a conventional left-right stereo arrangement, while the turntable remains a separate component.

Victrola lists 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM playback, Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth output to speakers or headphones, RCA and 3.5 mm aux connections. The cartridge is an Audio-Technica ATN3600L moving-magnet design; the page names ATN3600L as the replacement stylus. The package includes a dust cover, slipmat, 45 RPM adapter, power cable and manual. A record-cleaning kit is listed as an accessory rather than as a built-in part of the system.

Separate speakers consume more desk or shelf space and require cable routing, but they can be moved farther from the turntable and replaced independently. That is a different upgrade path from an internal-speaker all-in-one. The sources do not provide a controlled sound comparison, so do not assume Harmony automatically sounds better; its practical advantage is separation and flexibility.

Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT: a Bluetooth turntable that needs speakers

What it includes

Audio-Technica’s AT-LP60XBT is a fully automatic belt-drive turntable with two speeds: 33⅓ and 45 RPM. It includes Bluetooth connectivity, a wired RCA output cable, a switchable phono preamp, a dust cover and a 45 RPM adapter. No built-in speakers are listed.

You must connect it to wireless speakers or headphones, powered speakers, or audio equipment with a suitable input. The switchable phono preamp helps when connecting by RCA: use the appropriate line or phono setting for the input on your amplifier or powered speakers. If you use Bluetooth, pair it with a compatible receiving speaker or headphone device.

Parts and regional caution

The manufacturer’s product page used for the specifications is the Audio-Technica India page. Availability, included accessories and exact regional version can differ, so verify the listing for your country before purchase.

The official manual identifies a separately sold ATN3600L stylus and an AT-LP60X-exclusive replacement belt for the AT-LP60XBT. Confirm the exact model and part compatibility with the seller before ordering. Do not assume that a stylus or belt listed for another turntable will fit merely because the part number looks similar.

How to choose the right arrangement

Pick internal speakers when simplicity is the priority

Eastwood Signature and Navigator are the direct choices if you want to open the box, connect power and listen without buying another audio component. Internal speakers also reduce cable clutter. The cost is less control over speaker placement and fewer ways to upgrade the sound system independently.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Pick separate included speakers when you have room to grow

Harmony suits a listener who can place speakers on both sides of the turntable and wants the option to change that arrangement later. Keep the speakers on a stable surface and avoid placing them directly against the turntable if vibration becomes audible.

Pick the AT-LP60XBT only with a planned audio path

AT-LP60XBT can be a sensible first turntable when you already own powered speakers, a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. It is not a one-box solution. Add the price, space and compatibility of those speakers to the buying decision before comparing it with an internal-speaker model.

Check record speeds before buying

Eastwood Signature, Navigator and Harmony list all three speeds: 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM. AT-LP60XBT lists only 33⅓ and 45 RPM. Most modern LPs and singles use the first two speeds, while 78 RPM records are an older format that often needs a suitable stylus as well as the correct speed. If your collection includes 78s, do not assume a two-speed turntable can play them correctly.

Beginner setup: step by step

  1. Choose a stable location. Use a level surface that can support the player or the turntable plus separate speakers. Keep it away from subwoofers, vibrating appliances and direct heat.
  2. Remove transport materials. Follow the model manual for packing clips, foam and tonearm restraints. Do not force the tonearm or platter.
  3. Fit the platter and mat. Install the belt and platter exactly as shown for the model, then place the slipmat on the platter. A missing or misplaced belt prevents normal rotation.
  4. Connect power. Use the supplied power cable and the correct local voltage version. Keep the cable clear of the tonearm and platter.
  5. Choose the listening path. For Eastwood Signature or Navigator, start with the internal speakers. For Harmony, connect the supplied speaker cables to the matching outputs. For AT-LP60XBT, connect powered speakers or audio equipment by RCA, or pair a compatible Bluetooth receiver.
  6. Set the speed. Select 33⅓, 45 or 78 RPM only when the record requires it. Use the 45 RPM adapter for records with the larger center hole.
  7. Prepare the record. Handle it by the edges, brush away loose dust and place it on the mat. Lower the dust cover if the design allows it without interfering with operation.
  8. Start playback. Use the model’s start, stop and cue controls. On an automatic turntable such as AT-LP60XBT, let the mechanism move the tonearm rather than pushing it by hand.
  9. Set Bluetooth deliberately. For phone playback, select the turntable’s Bluetooth input mode and pair from the phone. For record playback to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones, select the model’s Bluetooth output or Vinyl Stream function and pair from the receiving device.
  10. Test at low volume. Confirm that the record rotates steadily, both stereo channels work and no cable is touching the platter or tonearm before increasing the volume.

Bluetooth questions that cause the most confusion

Can a phone play through the turntable’s speakers?

Yes, where the model lists Bluetooth input. Eastwood Signature and Navigator list Bluetooth input, and Harmony lists Bluetooth 5.2. Put the turntable in its receiving mode, then select it in the phone’s Bluetooth menu.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can a record play through Bluetooth speakers?

Eastwood Signature and Navigator list Vinyl Stream output, and Harmony lists Bluetooth output to speakers or headphones. Pair the external device to the output function, not to the phone-input mode. For AT-LP60XBT, confirm the exact transmit behavior of the regional version and the receiving equipment before assuming a record can be sent wirelessly.

Why does pairing work but no music play?

  • The turntable may be in Bluetooth input mode while you are trying to transmit a record.
  • The external speaker may already be connected to another source.
  • The speaker may not support the Bluetooth profile or connection mode required by the turntable.
  • The turntable’s volume, mute control or source selector may be set incorrectly.
  • With RCA, the cable may be connected to an input that expects a different signal level; check the phono-preamp setting on models that provide one.

Care, styluses and belts

Dust is both a record and stylus problem. Brush records before playback, keep the dust cover closed when the turntable is idle and avoid touching the stylus tip. Replace a worn or damaged stylus rather than continuing to play valuable records with it.

Use the specified replacement part for the exact model. Harmony’s cited page names the ATN3600L replacement stylus. The AT-LP60XBT manual names a separately sold ATN3600L stylus and an AT-LP60X-exclusive replacement belt. Eastwood Signature’s listed cartridge is AT-3600LA, which is not a reason to assume every ATN3600-series replacement part is interchangeable; verify the manufacturer’s part guidance for your specific unit.

A belt-driven player may eventually need a belt replacement if speed becomes unstable or the platter fails to reach speed. Unplug the turntable before servicing, follow the manual and avoid stretching the belt during installation.

Common buying mistakes and fixes

Buying a two-speed model for a 78 RPM collection

Fix: check the speed list before ordering. AT-LP60XBT lists 33⅓ and 45 RPM only; the three Victrola examples list 78 RPM as well.

Assuming every Bluetooth label means the same thing

Fix: look for the words input, output, transmitter, receiver or Vinyl Stream. If the listing does not specify the direction you need, ask the seller or consult the manual.

Ignoring the external-speaker requirement

Fix: budget and measure for speakers when considering AT-LP60XBT. A Bluetooth turntable without internal speakers cannot produce room-filling sound by itself.

Choosing by marketing adjectives

Fix: treat “high-fidelity,” “crisp” and similar wording as product copy unless an independent test supplies measurements or a controlled comparison. The available sources do not identify a sound-quality winner among these models.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Ordering replacement parts by appearance

Fix: match the exact model number and part designation. Styluses and belts that look similar are not automatically compatible.

Bottom line for a first purchase

For the clearest beginner answer to “Which turntable has speakers built in?”, start with Victrola Eastwood Signature if compact size and vinyl simplicity matter most. Choose Victrola Navigator when CD, cassette, FM radio, USB and aux are valuable enough to justify its larger, heavier cabinet. Choose Victrola Harmony if you can accommodate two separate speakers and want a layout that can evolve independently. Choose Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT only when you already have, or intentionally plan to buy, compatible speakers or headphones. None of these choices is supported by the cited material as an independently tested sound-quality champion; the best fit is the one whose speaker arrangement, record speeds and connections match the way you will actually listen.
