Beats’ U.S. catalogue lists original prices of $349.99, $299.99, and $199.99, respectively; those are list-price references, not verified current retailer prices.

Which Beats headphones should you choose?
Choose Beats 360 for over-ear noise cancellation and cushion options
The Beats 360 is the most expensive of these three at its $349.99 original catalogue price. Beats lists it as an over-ear noise-cancelling headphone with interchangeable cushion options. That combination makes it worth considering if you want an over-ear fit and value the ability to change cushions. The official listing alone does not establish that its noise cancellation is better than another model’s.

- SPATIAL AUDIO IMMERSION: Personalized dynamic head tracking, 360-degree sound for movies, music and immersive everyday listening.
Choose Studio Pro for over-ear ANC at a lower catalogue price
Studio Pro is the lower-priced official catalogue option for over-ear listening with noise cancellation, at an original U.S. price of $299.99. Beats lists both ANC and Transparency mode, which lets you hear more of your surroundings without taking the headphones off. Its stated battery life is up to 40 hours. Beats also says it supports wired lossless audio through USB-C or 3.5 mm. See the Studio Pro product page for current specifications.
Choose Solo 4 for a lighter, foldable on-ear design
Solo 4 is the least expensive model in this comparison at an original U.S. catalogue price of $199.99. Beats describes it as an ultralight, foldable on-ear headphone and claims up to 50 hours of battery life. It supports wired lossless listening over USB-C or 3.5 mm, and its box includes a carrying case plus USB-C and 3.5 mm cables, according to the Solo 4 product page.
Rank #2
- Custom acoustic architecture and updated drivers for powerful Beats sound.
- Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking.
- Ultralight ergonomic design for all-day comfort. Flex-grip headband and ergonomically angled, adjustable ear cups for a stable fit.
- UltraPlush ear cushions are designed for comfort and durability.
- Up to 50 hours of battery life.
Beats says a 10-minute Fast Fuel charge can provide up to five hours of playback. That is a manufacturer claim; real battery life depends on usage and conditions. Because Solo 4 rests on the ears rather than surrounding them, comfort is personal: if possible, try it on and assess ear contact and pressure before committing to long listening sessions.
How to compare fit, noise cancellation, and portability
- Fit: Beats 360 and Studio Pro are over-ear; Solo 4 is on-ear. Over-ear cups surround the ears, while on-ear pads sit against them. Neither style guarantees comfort for every listener.
- Noise cancellation: Beats lists noise cancellation for Beats 360 and Studio Pro, but not Solo 4. If blocking outside sound is a priority, focus on the two over-ear models.
- Portability: Beats positions Solo 4’s foldable on-ear design as the portable option. Its smaller fit may be convenient to carry, but it will not suit everyone for extended wear.
- Battery: Studio Pro is rated for up to 40 hours and Solo 4 for up to 50 hours by Beats. These are maximum manufacturer claims, not a promise of the same runtime in every listening scenario.
- Wired listening: Beats identifies USB-C and 3.5 mm wired lossless listening for Studio Pro and Solo 4. Solo 4’s stated in-box cables are useful if you need a wired connection immediately; verify the Studio Pro package contents on its current listing.
How to interpret the prices
Beats’ U.S. catalogue gives original prices of $349.99 for Beats 360, $299.99 for Studio Pro, and $199.99 for Solo 4. The figures establish the manufacturer’s catalogue price context only. They do not show what retailers currently charge, which colors are in stock, or whether a discount is available. Compare the exact model and seller at checkout, and check the retailer’s current price and return terms rather than assuming the catalogue figure is the amount you will pay.
