As of October 5, 2026, AT&T’s headline phone deals are the iPhone 18 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 and Google Pixel 11 Pro. Each is advertised at $0 per month, but only with a qualifying trade-in and a qualifying plan. AT&T also lists an iPhone 17 Pro for under $5 per month if you add a new line. These are conditional promotions, not retail prices. Whether a deal is good for you depends on your trade-in, your plan and how long you plan to stay.
The current AT&T phone deals
AT&T’s consumer deals page features offers on Apple, Samsung and Google phones. Offers vary by device, and AT&T says restrictions may apply. Check each one against your own situation.

AT&T’s trade-in page shows more examples, including a Galaxy Z Flip8 at a low monthly price. The page says promotional prices are what you pay after 36 months of credits under an installment agreement. Other promotions on the deals page are limited to new lines. Offers can change without notice, so reopen the exact offer before you order.

How the $0 price works
The discount isn’t taken off at the register. It arrives as 36 monthly bill credits that offset your installment payments. AT&T’s terms say credits start within three bills.

- 0% APR, 36-month installment plan. A well-qualified customer may pay $0 down. Others may need a down payment.
- Tax on the full retail price is due at sale, even when the monthly device price is $0.
- A $35 activation or upgrade fee per line applies, according to AT&T’s 2026 terms.
- The credits depend on your plan. If you lower your wireless plan, credits may stop or drop to the maximum available at the lower plan, if you’re still eligible.
- Cancelling service ends the credits. AT&T’s terms say: “Canceling wireless svc stops credits and the remaining device balance is due.”
The $0 price is therefore a 36-month commitment to the carrier and to a qualifying plan. You don’t get the value if you leave early.
Trade-in rules
For the iPhone 18 Pro series, AT&T separates two kinds of trade-in. Qualifying iPhone 14-or-newer models (excluding the iPhone 16e) are one group. Other eligible smartphones are the second group, and they are valued against minimum trade-in values. The plan tier and threshold vary by model. The higher-tier plan minimums AT&T lists are single-line prices before taxes, fees and discounts.

- Your trade-in can’t already be on an installment plan. Pay it off first.
- For the described offers, you must turn in the phone within 30 days of starting the new installment.
- At checkout, enter the old phone’s make and model or its IMEI.
- Back up your data and factory-reset the phone. Then return it in a store or request a prepaid mailing kit.
Can existing customers get these deals?
It depends on the offer. AT&T marks some promotions as new-line only, and the iPhone 17 Pro offer under $5 per month is one of them. The trade-in offers are structured around a qualifying plan. Whether your existing line qualifies is shown on the specific offer’s terms, so confirm it before you order.

Don’t rank phones by the size of the advertised credit. “Up to $1,200” is a maximum, not typical savings. Compare offers on the same points:

- Phone and storage. Pick the model you would buy anyway. A bigger credit on a phone you don’t want is not a saving.
- Your trade-in. Check the model, condition and minimum value. A phone that falls short may get a smaller credit.
- Required plan and its monthly cost. A $0 phone on a pricier plan can cost more overall than a plain installment on a cheaper plan. Add the plan cost over 36 months.
- New line or existing line. Adding a line adds its own monthly cost.
- Due at sale. Add tax on the full retail price, the $35 fee and any down payment.
- Your time horizon. If you might switch carriers or downgrade within three years, the remaining balance matters more than the monthly price.
The Apple, Samsung and Google offers use similar structures. The iPhone 18 Pro has the most detailed public terms: up to $1,200 off across 36 credits. If you want a foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is the featured one. If you want a Google phone, the Pixel 11 Pro is. Check the terms for each model before you choose.

AT&T’s best phone deals right now are the $0-a-month offers on the iPhone 18 Pro, Galaxy Z Flip8 and Pixel 11 Pro. They are worth it if you have an eligible, paid-off trade-in, are happy with the required plan, and will keep the line for all 36 months. If any of those isn’t true, the deal is worth much less than the headline suggests.
