Buy for the console edition first
Fight sticks are not automatically universal USB gamepads. Console authentication, firmware and licensing are tied to the platform family. Before comparing switches or artwork, identify where you will actually play.
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
The HORI SF6 Alpha is explicitly listed for both PS5 and PS4, so it is the straightforward traditional-stick choice if you own either console. The Victrix Pro KO SFII edition is also listed for PS5 and PS4. The Razer Kitsune is a PS5-and-PC product, not a native PS4-console controller. Why choose four directional buttons?
With a lever, the stick’s physical gate and travel determine when a direction registers. Razer explains that moving a standard 8-way joystick too far or not far enough can produce accidental or missed inputs. Four separate direction buttons remove that lever travel, which can make simultaneous or carefully timed inputs easier for some players. It does not make every player faster: the layout changes your muscle memory, and comfort and control are personal.

1. Confirm native console authentication
Write down every platform you will use: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One or Windows. Match that list to the manufacturer’s platform statement. If Xbox is on the list, start with the 8BitDo Xbox model or HORI’s Xbox Alpha listing rather than hoping a PlayStation unit will work.
2. Decide whether you need wireless

Setup guide for Street Fighter on each platform
PlayStation 5
