The best ARC Raiders crafting-material route depends on the item you need, not on a universal “best map.” For an Oil run, a July 2026 route guide points to Dam Battlegrounds: begin at Hydroponic Dome Complex, sweep Water Treatment and Power Generation, then move through the industrial garages and catwalks toward extraction. Search vehicles and mechanical or industrial containers, and recycle suitable loot as you go. For other materials, use named locations as leads, connect several targets in the direction of an extraction, and check the current map condition before deploying.
These are guide-reported routes rather than guaranteed drop tables. Spawn behavior can change with patches and map conditions, and no official post–Frozen Trail 2.0 material rates have been published in the sources available for this guide.

Start with the material in your crafting menu, then choose the map and route that repeatedly exposes the container type or landmark associated with it. The table below consolidates the most specific location leads currently reported, while separating direct route advice from broader project-guide associations.

Why a material-first route beats a “best map” ranking
A generic loot route can fill your backpack while producing little of the one component blocking a recipe. Material-first planning reverses that mistake. Identify the exact component, note the area or container class linked to it, and build a short loop that finishes at extraction. This also limits the time you spend exposed after your inventory is already useful.
Use the item’s environment as your search filter
Mechanical materials point you toward vehicles, machinery and industrial storage. Medical materials point you toward clinics, testing rooms and research spaces. Exodus-related components point you toward Exodus facilities. These environmental clues are more useful than sweeping every building on a map because they tell you which doors and containers deserve your time.
Separate a lead from a guarantee
Published location guides are practical scouting references, but they do not establish that an item appears every raid or at a fixed rate. A named room can be empty, occupied, altered by a condition or already looted. Plan a second-choice location and an extraction route before you enter the first building.

The strongest material-specific example: Oil on Dam Battlegrounds
Oil is the clearest route recommendation available. The July 31, 2026 guide from AllThingsHow recommends a Dam Battlegrounds progression that starts at Hydroponic Dome Complex, moves through Water Treatment and Power Generation, and ends around industrial garages and catwalks: ARC Raiders: Best Oil Farm Routes and Spawn Locations. Use it as a practical path, not as an official spawn guarantee.
Step 1: Start at Hydroponic Dome Complex
Open your map before moving and identify the extraction you can reach from the dome without crossing the entire map. Search the complex for industrial and mechanical containers, then check nearby vehicles. Do not spend the opening minutes opening every ordinary bag; your objective is Oil and items that can become Oil through recycling.
Step 2: Sweep Water Treatment
Move from the dome toward Water Treatment and search the machinery, service spaces and containers associated with water-processing infrastructure. Keep your route directional: if a room sends you far away from the next waypoint and the extraction, mark it as optional rather than turning the run into a backtracking expedition.
Step 3: Check Power Generation
Power Generation is the next industrial anchor in the recommended sequence. Search mechanical containers and vehicles first, then take only secondary loot that supports your carry capacity and survival plan. The value of the route is its concentration of industrial targets, not a promise that every run produces the same amount.

Use the industrial garages and catwalks as the final sweep before extraction. Vehicles are high-priority Oil targets in the route guide, and the elevated paths can let you bypass unnecessary rooms. If enemy activity, a map condition or a full inventory makes the final section unsafe, extract with what you have instead of forcing a complete circuit.
Items to recycle for an Oil-focused run
The same guide calls out Water Pumps, Coolant, Polluted Air Filters, Motors and Synthesized Fuel as recyclable Oil sources. Treat those as candidate inputs: check the current in-game recipe and recycling result before destroying an item that has another use. Recycle during the run only when the material is more valuable to your present objective than the original item and you are not about to need the item for a quest or upgrade.
Container priorities and an unsupported statistic
The route advice emphasizes vehicles and mechanical or industrial containers. AllThingsHow also publishes Oil container percentages—38% for cars, 31% for breachable containers, 23% for regular containers and 8% for bags—but those figures are secondary-source numbers without corroboration from an official loot table. Do not use them as guaranteed probabilities or as a precise yield-per-minute forecast.
Material leads on other maps
Rusted Bolts: industrial Spaceport sweep
A PC Gamer guide for the Trophy Display project associates Rusted Bolts with mechanical and industrial areas in Spaceport, specifically Container Storage, Vehicle Maintenance and Shipping Warehouse: Arc Raiders Trophy Display project: All materials and rewards. A practical route is to choose the industrial area nearest your insertion, search the three location types in a line, and turn toward extraction after the second strong find. Vehicle Maintenance and Shipping Warehouse can be treated as primary targets; Container Storage is a useful first or final waypoint depending on the extraction shown for that raid.

Because the guide identifies area associations rather than a verified spawn table, do not assume that a vacant Container Storage means the route has failed. Move to the next industrial target, watch your exposure, and leave when the expected value of another building is lower than the risk of losing the bolts already collected.

Expired Respirators: medical interiors on two maps
The same project guide places Expired Respirators in medical areas, including Testing Annex on Dam Battlegrounds and Medical Research on Stella Montis. Medical rooms are narrower targets than a full-map sweep: enter the named facility, search its medical containers and adjacent treatment spaces, then exit along a route that does not require crossing unrelated industrial zones.
On Dam Battlegrounds, Testing Annex can be paired with the Oil route only if the detour still points toward extraction. Combining objectives is efficient when the targets share a travel direction; it is wasteful when the second objective sends you back through contested ground.
Stella Montis is described by Embark as an abandoned facility where Raiders may find rare resources, gameplay items and schematics. The official North Line article provides that setting and event context: The Frontier Expands North. It does not establish a current respirator drop rate at Medical Research, so use the room as a lead and verify what your current raid actually contains.
Leaper Pulse Units: a connected Dam Battlegrounds path
Hydroponic Dome Complex, the Water Treatment Control elevator and Red Lakes Balcony are the reported Dam Battlegrounds leads for Leaper Pulse Units. These locations can form a useful chain because they are distinct landmarks, but three waypoints are worthwhile only when the map’s extraction and threat pattern make the connection short enough.
At each stop, search the relevant containers quickly, mark the next waypoint and reassess. If the first location is heavily contested or the elevator area forces a long detour, take the item you have and extract rather than treating all three names as mandatory checkpoints.
Exodus Modules and Magnetic Accelerators: Exodus facilities
For Exodus Modules and Magnetic Accelerators, the project guide associates Exodus areas with Rocket Assembly in Spaceport and Assembly in Stella Montis. These are objective-led runs: select the map where the named facility is accessible from your insertion and where an extraction lies beyond it. Avoid crossing to the other map or making a second pass simply because the first room was empty; the source provides associations, not a complete route or confirmed rate.

Stella Montis material names from a historical event
Embark’s North Line coverage named Metal Parts, Fabric, Chemicals, Rubber Parts and Plastic Parts as materials donated for a historical tunnel-restoration event. That list is useful context for the kinds of materials connected with Stella Montis, but it was an event donation list. It is not evidence of a current farming requirement, a live contribution objective or a guaranteed spawn pattern.

A route is more than a list of buildings. It is a sequence that converts travel time into targeted searches while preserving a credible exit.
- Write the target at the top of your plan. Use one primary material, such as Oil or Rusted Bolts, and at most one secondary material whose locations overlap the same path.
- Mark two or three target waypoints. Use named locations tied to your item. Three or four waypoints are a practical upper limit for a normal run; beyond that, backtracking and exposure can erase the value of another search.
- Draw the extraction leg before deploying. The last waypoint should point toward a viable extraction. If a target lies behind your planned exit, move it earlier in the sequence or drop it from the run.
- Assign a fallback. Choose the nearest alternate extraction and one safe stopping point. If the first building is contested, skip it and continue to the fallback rather than waiting in place.
- Set a leave trigger. Extract when you have the needed component, when your inventory reaches the space reserved for it, or when enemy pressure makes another search disproportionate to its value.
- Recheck the map after the first search. Conditions, activity and teammate information can change the safest line. A route that looked short at deployment may no longer be the best exit.
A route guide recommends connecting three or four waypoints toward extraction instead of backtracking: Arc Raiders Map Loot Routes & Extraction Paths. That advice is a planning heuristic, not a measured guarantee that every three-waypoint route beats every shorter run.

Before selecting a map, open the official schedule at arcraiders.com/map-conditions/night-raid and read the condition shown for the intended deployment. Conditions can change the danger, visibility or practical value of a route, so a familiar landmark sequence should not be treated as fixed from one session to the next.
What changed loot-zone expectations
GamesRadar’s October 8, 2026 Frozen Trail coverage reported that Embark was testing dynamic loot zones on Pendola Pass. Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal was quoted conditionally: “it will be fairly straightforward for us to go back and reapply that to the existing maps as well.” The condition matters: he was discussing a possible extension if feedback and implementation on Pendola Pass went well. The report does not establish that existing-map loot zones have already changed: GamesRadar+ Frozen Trail patch coverage.
For that reason, do not promise a post-update spawn rate, assume a dynamic zone on every map or present a guide location as permanent. Check the current in-game map and treat your first few runs after an update as scouting runs.

Risk management while farming materials
Choose exposure deliberately
Industrial complexes, medical facilities and named objective rooms attract other Raiders because they are recognizable. Search the high-value container type first, keep your movement toward the next waypoint, and avoid lingering to empty low-value containers after your primary objective is secured.
Use a partial-success mindset
A run that extracts one needed component is more productive than a full sweep that ends with a lost backpack. Your route should have stopping points: after the first target, after the second target and at the approach to extraction. At each point, compare the material still needed with the danger and distance remaining.
Do not confuse density with yield
The Blue Gate is described by one route guide as having high loot density, while Dam Battlegrounds is recommended as a starter route. Those are that guide’s judgments, not a reliable cross-map ranking. A dense map can still be poor for your recipe if its containers do not match your material, and a quieter route can be better when it places a target directly on your extraction line.

Inventory and recycling decisions
Reserve space for the target material before you enter the first building. When a recyclable item appears, compare three values: the material gained now, the item’s possible quest or upgrade use, and the risk of carrying it to a recycler later. Oil-focused runs have a concrete shortlist—Water Pumps, Coolant, Polluted Air Filters, Motors and Synthesized Fuel—but the in-game recycling panel should be the final authority if a patch changes a recipe.
Recycle only after confirming the output and quantity in the current interface. If the output is not needed for the present craft, keep the original item when it has a known secondary use. This prevents a successful material run from creating a new shortage elsewhere in your progression.
What current evidence can and cannot prove
- No official source reviewed here provides a complete, post–October 8, 2026 crafting-material spawn table for every map.
- No common measurement establishes material yield per minute across Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, Stella Montis, The Blue Gate or the other listed maps.
- Named locations in project and route guides are useful leads, not guaranteed drops.
- The published Oil percentages are secondary-source figures and should not be treated as authoritative probabilities.
- Map conditions are scheduled and change over time; consult the official page before each deployment.
These limits do not make the routes useless. They define how to use them: target the correct environment, keep the route short, verify what the current raid is producing and extract before risk overwhelms the material value.
Practical route templates
Short Oil run
- Deploy on Dam Battlegrounds and start at Hydroponic Dome Complex.
- Search vehicles and mechanical or industrial containers.
- Move to Water Treatment, taking only useful recyclable candidates.
- Continue to Power Generation if the path remains safe.
- Use garages and catwalks as the final sweep, then extract.
Industrial Spaceport run for Rusted Bolts
- Choose the insertion that puts Container Storage, Vehicle Maintenance or Shipping Warehouse on one side of your extraction.
- Search the first industrial area and mark the next one before opening unrelated containers.
- Leave after the second target if you have the bolts required, or continue to the third only when the extraction line remains clear.
Medical-material run
- Select Dam Battlegrounds for Testing Annex or Stella Montis for Medical Research based on the current condition and extraction.
- Search medical rooms and adjacent treatment spaces first.
- Do not cross the map for a second medical lead unless the route still points toward extraction.
- Extract with the first successful batch rather than turning a focused run into a full-map sweep.
Bottom line for choosing your next raid
For Oil, use the Dam Battlegrounds sequence from Hydroponic Dome Complex through Water Treatment and Power Generation, finishing at industrial garages and catwalks while prioritizing vehicles and mechanical containers. For other components, start with the named location associated with the material—Spaceport industrial zones for Rusted Bolts, medical facilities for Expired Respirators, Dam Battlegrounds landmarks for Leaper Pulse Units and Exodus facilities for Exodus Modules or Magnetic Accelerators. Connect targets toward extraction, check the live map condition, and treat every published location as a current lead rather than a permanent guarantee.
