Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 9: choose it for formats and HDMI 2.1 passthrough

Samsung HW-QS90H: choose it for an all-in-one layout
The QS90H offers a different trade-off from the Q990H: Samsung lists it as a 7.1.2-channel all-in-one with Dolby Atmos, with rear speakers available as an option rather than included. It suits buyers who prefer fewer separate components or do not want to place rear speakers around the room. The Q990F is a 2025 model, so treat it as a prior-model option rather than assuming it is the current successor in every market. Samsung’s Mexico product page describes an 11.1.4-channel system with two rear speakers and a dual 8-inch subwoofer. RTINGS’ direct comparison with the Arc Ultra describes the Q990F as the more complete out-of-box package because it includes rear satellites and an external subwoofer; the Arc Ultra can instead be expanded with compatible Sonos speakers.

A soundbar alone is not directly comparable with a package that includes rear speakers and a subwoofer. Choose the Q990H if you want an included surround kit and have places to put the rear units. Match the connection to your TV and sources
If you connect a console or other source directly to the soundbar, the Bar 9’s HDMI 2.1 input and the Q990F’s HDMI-in support are relevant. The Arc Ultra is not limited to a soundbar-only setup: Sonos says it can be expanded with compatible speakers. Its fact sheet lists 14 Sonos-engineered drivers. If you already own compatible Sonos equipment or prefer adding components over time, that system path may suit you better than replacing it with a bundle. If you want the rear speakers and subwoofer included now, the Q990H or an available Q990F bundle is the more direct package comparison.
