What changed in the Galaxy M47 and F70 Pro pricing?
The latest located price report, published by 91mobiles on 12 October 2026, says Samsung raised the published prices of both the Galaxy M47 and Galaxy F70 Pro by ₹2,000. The revised prices reportedly took effect across India on 11 October. These are the current list-price figures to use when comparing alternatives:

The same report said Samsung’s official site showed the increased prices, but Amazon.in and Flipkart had discounted listings beginning at ₹26,999 at the time of writing. A discounted marketplace listing is not the same as an official list price: it can depend on seller, bank promotion, exchange, inventory and time. Do not assume that ₹26,999, ₹37,999 or any other figure will still be available when you order.

The increase has a documented history
An earlier SamMobile report dated 10 September described a ₹3,000 increase effective 9 September, taking the base variants to ₹35,999. The later 12 October report supersedes that as the current baseline and describes a further ₹2,000 rise. In other words, the reported sequence is an initial ₹3,000 increase followed by another ₹2,000 increase. Use the October figures for a current comparison; mention the September figures only when explaining how the pricing reached this point.
The only clearly priced lower-cost candidate: Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
Motorola India’s product-family page lists the Edge 60 Fusion 5G with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at ₹29,999. Against the Samsung phones’ reported ₹37,999 starting list price, that is an ₹8,000 difference before any sale, exchange or bank offer.

This is not a controlled same-day retail comparison. Motorola’s ₹29,999 is a manufacturer-listed figure, while the Samsung numbers are a published revised-price report and contemporaneous marketplace observations. Check Motorola’s current India listing and the retailer page on the day you buy. The cited price does not guarantee stock or a particular seller’s final checkout total.
Samsung’s support promise is the main value counterweight
Samsung’s official Galaxy M47 and Galaxy F70 Pro product pages state six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the first global launch. The F70 Pro page phrases it as: “Galaxy F70 Pro 5G will be supported with six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from the first global launch date.” Samsung also says its feature and support policies can change.

This is a manufacturer commitment, not independent testing of how quickly updates arrive in India or how consistently every feature reaches every variant. Nevertheless, it is a concrete ownership factor that a cheaper alternative must match or beat in writing if long-term software life matters to you.
How to compare support correctly
- Find the exact model and Indian variant on the manufacturer’s support page.
- Record the promised number of Android/OS generations and the security-update period.
- Check whether the clock starts at first global launch, Indian sale date or another event.
- Look for wording that allows the policy to change and distinguish a promise from an update-delivery schedule.
- Compare the policy with how long you expect to keep the phone; a two-year owner may value price more than a five-year owner.
Display, charging and camera facts you can establish now
Displays
Samsung’s official pages list a 120Hz Super AMOLED display for both the M47 and F70 Pro. That establishes the panel type and refresh-rate claim, but not brightness, outdoor readability, color accuracy or touch response. Those require independent measurements or hands-on testing.
Charging
The Galaxy M47 page specifies 45W fast charging and explicitly states that the fast charger is sold separately. Budget for a compatible charger if you do not already own one, and verify the exact box contents for your Indian retail unit. The cited Samsung pages do not state the F70 Pro’s charging wattage or either phone’s battery capacity, so do not fill those gaps with assumptions.
Cameras
The Galaxy F70 Pro page lists a 50MP + 5MP + 2MP rear-camera system with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 12MP front camera. OIS can help reduce camera shake, especially in still photos and some video situations, but the specification alone does not prove superior image quality. The available official M47 information in this comparison does not provide a complete camera specification.
No reliable, same-day test in the supplied material settles whether the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, Galaxy M47 or Galaxy F70 Pro takes better photos, records steadier video or handles night scenes better. If camera quality is your priority, compare full-resolution samples and stabilization tests for the exact Indian models before ordering.

Samsung Galaxy A27
SamMobile’s 12 October price report lists the Galaxy A27 at ₹35,999 for 6GB/128GB, ₹42,999 for the higher 8GB/128GB tier and ₹47,499 for 8GB/256GB. Its base reported price is close to the M47 and F70 Pro tiers. The available information does not verify its comparative display, camera, chipset, support policy, sale price or stock, so it is a same-brand option to investigate rather than a confirmed upgrade.

Its official Indian product page, current price, availability, support policy and relative camera, performance and durability strengths were not verified here. Choose by your actual priority, not by the model name
If long software life is non-negotiable
The Samsung pair has the clearest documented policy in this comparison: six OS generations and six years of security updates from first global launch. Confirm the launch-date basis and policy wording, then compare any alternative’s written commitment. A lower checkout price is less attractive if you plan to keep the phone beyond the alternative’s supported period.
If you need the lowest verified list price
Start with the Edge 60 Fusion listing at ₹29,999 for 12GB/256GB, then verify live stock and the final checkout amount. Compare it with Samsung’s marketplace listings rather than only the ₹37,999 list price; a temporary Samsung discount can narrow or eliminate the apparent gap.

If display quality and smooth scrolling matter
Both Samsung pages explicitly list 120Hz Super AMOLED panels. Ask the alternative seller or manufacturer for panel type, refresh-rate behavior, brightness and warranty terms before assuming parity. A high refresh-rate number by itself does not describe the whole viewing experience.
If you take many photos
The F70 Pro has the most complete camera disclosure here: 50MP + 5MP + 2MP rear cameras, OIS and a 12MP front camera. That does not establish image quality. Compare independent samples from the same software version and Indian hardware, paying attention to motion, skin tones, night scenes and video stabilization.
If charging convenience matters
The M47’s 45W capability is useful only if you have a compatible charger; Samsung says the fast charger is sold separately. Add the charger cost to the phone price and verify whether an alternative includes one. Do not compare wattage without checking battery size, charging protocol and actual time to a useful charge.

- Match the RAM and storage tier. Compare 6GB/128GB with 6GB/128GB, or 8GB/256GB with 12GB/256GB, and state when no equivalent tier exists.
- Check the seller. Confirm seller identity, India warranty, return window, sealed packaging and invoice requirements.
- Separate discounts from permanent pricing. Record whether the checkout amount depends on a bank card, exchange, coupon or limited-time sale.
- Verify the box contents. For the M47, specifically account for Samsung’s statement that the fast charger is sold separately.
- Read the update policy. Save the manufacturer’s wording and the starting point for the support period.
- Check service access. Look for an authorised service centre near you and confirm how warranty claims work for the exact seller.
- Recheck on payment day. Prices, stock and offers can change between comparison and checkout.

Buy the Galaxy M47 when
You find the desired RAM/storage tier at a genuine sale price, want Samsung’s documented long support commitment and value the listed 120Hz Super AMOLED display. Include the separately sold fast charger in your budget and confirm the box contents.

Buy the Edge 60 Fusion when
Its live price remains near Motorola’s ₹29,999 listing, 12GB/256GB fits your needs and you have verified its update policy, cameras, display, durability, warranty and stock. The lower listed price is the evidence-backed reason to investigate it; superiority in other categories has not been established.
Wait or keep comparing when
The Samsung phone is available only through an unclear seller, the discount requires conditions you cannot meet, or the alternative’s support and service terms are unavailable. A short delay to verify variant and warranty is safer than buying a cheaper phone with an uncertain support period.
