There is no universal winner when the Galaxy A37 is discounted: the right alternative depends on the price you can actually pay in your market, the storage tier, and the features you value. Choose the Google Pixel 10a for a smaller phone, wireless charging and an editorially stronger camera; the Galaxy A57 5G for the closest Samsung-family upgrade; the Motorola Moto G Stylus (2026) for its integrated stylus and faster charging; or a carefully inspected refurbished Galaxy S24 for flagship hardware at a potentially lower upfront cost. Those conclusions are preference-based, not a single ranking. Compare same-market prices, RAM and storage, warranty and condition before deciding whether your A37 discount is genuinely good.
Quick answer: which Galaxy A37 alternative fits you?
Use the table as a starting point, then read the detailed sections for pricing and compatibility cautions. The prices in the source comparison are dated US figures from Android Authority’s June 25, 2026 article; they are not current quotes and should not be converted directly to another currency.

| Phone | Best fit | Meaningful advantage over Galaxy A37 | Main trade-off | Price context |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Pixel 10a | Buyers wanting a smaller handset, wireless charging and strong computational photography | 6.3-inch size, 8GB RAM, wireless charging and a camera Android Authority judged better | 30W wired charging and a smaller display than the A37 | $499.99 MSRP; Android Authority described it as about $50 above the A37 at article time. Verify your local price. |
| Samsung Galaxy A57 5G | Samsung users willing to pay for a more premium mid-range model | Super AMOLED Plus, 12MP ultrawide, 8GB configurations, Wi-Fi 6GHz and Bluetooth 6 | Only worthwhile when the price gap is justified; both phones lack microSD | Android Authority cited $550 versus $450 for the A37 in June 2026. Those are dated US article prices. |
| Motorola Moto G Stylus (2026) | People who will actually use an integrated pen | Built-in active stylus with palm rejection, 68W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and a 13MP ultrawide | Android Authority reported the A37 has a faster, newer processor and stronger update policy | $500 in Android Authority’s article-time comparison; confirm the exact regional model and offer. |
| Refurbished Samsung Galaxy S24 | Buyers prioritizing flagship performance, brightness and adaptive refresh at a used-device price | Higher peak brightness and adaptive refresh, with a smaller body | Refurbishment grade, battery wear, warranty and remaining support vary; battery and charging are weaker than A37 on paper | Android Authority author observed roughly $350–$400 Amazon listings at article time, not a current or representative market range. |
If your discounted A37 costs less than these alternatives after tax, shipping, trade-in conditions and any required plan, it remains a rational choice. Its large 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 5,000mAh battery, up-to-45W wired charging and 50MP main camera cover the essentials well.
Establish what the Galaxy A37 offer really includes
A discount is meaningful only after you identify the exact regional model and the conditions attached to it. Samsung’s US buying information lists two configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Samsung’s comparison information indicates that the A37 has no microSD card slot, so storage cannot be expanded later. A cheaper 128GB phone can therefore be a poor value if your use requires the 256GB tier.

Check the final checkout price
- Record the advertised price after the instant discount, not the crossed-out list price.
- Add sales tax, shipping, activation fees and any mandatory carrier plan.
- Subtract a trade-in only if you meet its condition, inspection and timing requirements.
- Compare the resulting total with the same storage and RAM tier of every alternative.
- Confirm whether the offer is for a new, open-box or refurbished device and note the return period.
The Samsung US page retrieved for this comparison did not expose a stable purchase price. Treat any older A37 list-price comparison as obsolete until you see today’s local checkout total.
Match the hardware baseline
The A37’s 6.7-inch 120Hz panel is substantially larger than the Pixel 10a’s 6.3-inch screen and may matter more than a modest processor difference for reading, maps and video. Its 5,000mAh battery and up-to-45W wired charging favor long sessions and quick top-ups, while the phone does not provide wireless charging. The 50MP main camera is the headline sensor; camera quality still depends on processing, not megapixels alone.
Google Pixel 10a: choose compact size, wireless charging and camera processing
The Pixel 10a is the clearest alternative when you are not committed to Samsung’s software and want a smaller device. Android Authority’s comparison gives it a 6.3-inch display and 8GB of RAM, compared with the A37’s 6.7-inch panel and 6GB or 8GB configurations. It also supports wireless charging, which the A37 lacks.

Why it can be better value
- The smaller body is easier to use one-handed and less bulky in a pocket.
- Wireless charging suits a desk, bedside stand or car mount where cable-free top-ups are convenient.
- Android Authority judged the Pixel’s camera better in its editorial assessment. That is a reviewer judgment, not a standardized laboratory score, so treat it as a preference signal rather than a measured guarantee.
- Eight gigabytes of RAM is standard in the cited configuration, reducing the need to choose an expensive high-memory A37 tier.
Where the A37 remains stronger
- The A37 offers a much larger 6.7-inch viewing area.
- Its wired charging is rated up to 45W, versus 30W for the Pixel 10a in the comparison.
- If your local A37 discount is substantially below the Pixel’s price, the Pixel’s camera and wireless charging may not justify the premium.
Android Authority listed a $499.99 Pixel 10a MSRP and said it was about $50 more than the A37 in its article-time US comparison. Check current availability, storage, taxes and Google’s support terms in your country; neither that MSRP nor the $50 difference is a live global price.
Samsung Galaxy A57 5G: the closest same-brand upgrade
The A57 is the natural step up when you like Samsung’s interface, service network and accessory ecosystem but want more hardware. Samsung’s own comparison distinguishes a Super AMOLED Plus display, an 8GB RAM configuration, a 12MP ultrawide camera, Wi-Fi 6GHz support and Bluetooth 6. The A37 is listed with a standard Super AMOLED panel, an 8MP ultrawide and Bluetooth 5.1. Both phones have 5,000mAh batteries, up to 45W wired charging and no external memory-card slot.
How to decide whether the premium is justified
Android Authority described the A57 at $550 and the A37 at $450 in a June 2026 US comparison, a $100 article-time gap. It framed that difference as a choice between saving money and receiving a faster device and more premium build. Those are not current quotations, so calculate the gap using today’s identical storage and retailer conditions.

- Choose the A57 when the gap is small enough that the 12MP ultrawide, newer wireless standards and 8GB configuration will matter throughout your ownership.
- Choose the discounted A37 when both phones cost meaningfully different amounts and you mainly need the large 120Hz display, battery and 50MP main camera.
- Do not pay the A57 premium expecting expandable storage: Samsung lists no microSD slot on either model.
Neither Samsung’s promotional description of smooth 120Hz visuals nor a specification difference proves which screen looks better in person. Brightness, calibration and viewing conditions can vary by region and software version.

The Moto G Stylus (2026) is distinctive because the active stylus is stored in the phone. Android Authority specifically calls out palm rejection, making handwritten notes and sketches practical without a separate accessory. It also lists a 13MP ultrawide, 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Who should choose it
- Students and field workers who annotate documents, mark photos or jot quick notes directly on the handset.
- Users who value the fastest wired charging in this group and want wireless charging as a backup.
- Photographers who prefer an ultrawide with a higher stated resolution than the A37’s 8MP unit, while understanding that resolution alone does not establish image quality.
What you give up versus A37
Android Authority reported that the A37 has a faster, more modern processor and a stronger update policy. No independent benchmark was supplied for this comparison, so do not interpret that assessment as a measured performance score. If long software support, demanding games or sustained multitasking matter more than pen input, the A37 may be the safer choice even when the Motorola includes more charging hardware.

The comparison used a $500 article-time price for the Moto G Stylus (2026). Verify the regional SKU: radios, storage, charging accessories, stylus features and update commitments can differ by market. A US listing is not proof that the same model or warranty is sold where you live.
Refurbished Galaxy S24: flagship features at second-hand risk
A refurbished Galaxy S24 can make the A37 look less attractive if you find a genuinely good unit. Android Authority’s author reported seeing Amazon offers around $350–$400 at article time. That observation is dated, reflects one marketplace and is not a representative current range.

The source comparison says the S24 offers higher peak brightness and adaptive refresh. Adaptive refresh can reduce power use during static content while allowing smooth motion when needed, and higher peak brightness helps outdoors. The S24 is also a smaller flagship-style phone, which suits buyers who find the A37 too large.

Why a new A37 may still be the safer purchase
- The A37 has a 5,000mAh battery, 1,000mAh more than the S24’s stated capacity in the comparison.
- The A37 supports up to 45W wired charging; the S24 comparison does not give it that advantage.
- A new phone has predictable battery condition and a straightforward warranty, while refurbishment quality varies.
- The S24 launched earlier, so remaining software and security-support time must be checked against the seller’s model and region.
Refurbished-phone inspection checklist
- Identify the seller, refurbishment grade and exact model number.
- Get the stated battery-health threshold or a written replacement guarantee.
- Confirm the warranty length, return window and who pays return shipping.
- Check for screen burn-in, camera-lens scratches, frame damage and missing water-resistance coverage.
- Verify that the device is unlocked, not financed, and compatible with your carrier’s bands and eSIM requirements.
- Compare the final delivered price with a new A37 after discounts; a small saving may not compensate for uncertainty.
Choose by priority instead of by headline price
| Your priority | First model to investigate | Why | Question to resolve before buying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Largest screen and fast wired charging | Galaxy A37 | 6.7-inch 120Hz display and up-to-45W charging | Is the discounted price for 128GB or 256GB, and is that tier enough? |
| Compact size and wireless charging | Pixel 10a | 6.3-inch display, wireless charging and 8GB RAM | Is the local premium acceptable, and are the camera and support terms available in your market? |
| Samsung upgrade with better connectivity | Galaxy A57 5G | Super AMOLED Plus, 12MP ultrawide, Wi-Fi 6GHz and Bluetooth 6 | How much is the real same-storage price gap today? |
| Handwritten input | Moto G Stylus (2026) | Stored active stylus with palm rejection | Does your regional SKU include the same stylus, charging and network bands? |
| Flagship display behavior on a budget | Refurbished Galaxy S24 | Higher peak brightness and adaptive refresh | What are the battery condition, grade, warranty and remaining support? |
A practical comparison process
- Write down your non-negotiables. Include screen size, wireless charging, stylus input, camera type, storage and maximum acceptable weight.
- Normalize the configurations. Compare 128GB with 128GB and 256GB with 256GB; note RAM as well as storage because the A37 tiers differ.
- Normalize the transaction. Use the final price after instant discounts, tax, shipping, trade-in and plan obligations.
- Separate specifications from judgments. Samsung’s tables establish display, battery, charging, camera-resolution and connectivity differences. Android Authority supplies editorial assessments of camera quality, processor modernity, build and update policy; those are not independent benchmark results.
- Check support locally. Confirm the exact update promise, carrier compatibility, charger-in-box policy and warranty for your country.
- For refurbished phones, price the risk. Include a protective case, possible battery replacement and the value of a shorter return window.
- Recheck immediately before payment. Promotional prices, inventory and refurbished grades can change during the same day.
Common mistakes that make a discount look better than it is
Comparing list prices instead of checkout totals
A manufacturer list price, a trade-in headline and a carrier bill-credit offer are different things. A bill credit may require months of service, while a trade-in value may depend on inspection. Compare the amount you will actually pay and the obligations you accept.
Ignoring storage
Because the A37 has no microSD slot, selecting 128GB to save money is a permanent compromise. The same warning applies when an alternative’s advertised price covers a lower-capacity SKU.
Treating camera megapixels as a verdict
The A37’s 50MP main camera, the A57’s 12MP ultrawide and the Moto G Stylus’s 13MP ultrawide describe sensors, not final photos. Processing, stabilization, lens quality and lighting determine results. The Pixel’s camera advantage in the cited comparison is an editorial judgment, not a standardized test.

Radio bands, storage, RAM, charger availability, eSIM support and warranty can change by country. Confirm the model number and local seller before relying on a US specification or price.
Overlooking software support and condition
The cited comparison favors the A37 over the Moto G Stylus for update policy, while a refurbished S24 has less predictable remaining support and battery condition. Treat those as ownership costs, not footnotes.
Bottom line by buyer type
- Stay with the discounted Galaxy A37 when you want a large 120Hz screen, a 5,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging at the lowest normalized price.
- Buy the Pixel 10a when compact size, wireless charging and camera processing matter more than screen area and charging speed.
- Pay for the Galaxy A57 only when today’s local gap is reasonable for its Super AMOLED Plus panel, 12MP ultrawide, newer connectivity and 8GB configuration.
- Choose the Moto G Stylus when the integrated, palm-rejecting pen is a feature you will use regularly.
- Consider a refurbished S24 when its verified condition and warranty make the flagship display advantages worth accepting a smaller battery and second-hand risk.
Because the discount amount and country are unspecified, the defensible winner is the phone that best matches your priority after a same-market, same-storage, final-checkout comparison—not the model with the most attractive old headline price.
