If you want a phone that folds shut into a compact square, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 is the closest alternative to the Motorola Razr+ (2025): it keeps the clamshell design while adding an ultrawide rear camera and a longer stated software-support commitment. If your priority is a larger screen for work or multitasking, consider a book-style foldable instead—but those phones are a different kind of replacement, not a pocketable flip-phone equivalent.
Foldable lineups change quickly. The comparisons below are grounded in coverage of the Razr Plus (2025), and current generations, local availability, specifications and prices can vary by market. Check those details before buying.

First choose: a flip phone or a book-style foldable?
A clamshell such as the Razr+ or Galaxy Z Flip7 folds across the middle and closes to a compact shape. Its cover screen handles quick tasks while the unfolded inner display provides a regular smartphone-sized workspace. Choose this form if pocketability and the flip-phone experience matter most.
Book-style models such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Motorola Razr Fold open into a much larger, tablet-like inner screen. That can make reading, multitasking and productivity more comfortable, but the folded device is not a like-for-like substitute for a small clamshell. Foldable buying guides from TechRadar and Tom’s Guide cover both formats.

Best direct Razr+ alternative: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7
The Galaxy Z Flip7 is the clearest alternative if you want to stay with a clamshell. PhoneArena directly compared it with the Motorola Razr Plus (2025), making this the most relevant model-to-model comparison here. Samsung’s U.S. product page lists the Galaxy Z Flip7; confirm the variant and regional specifications available where you shop.
What changes compared with the Razr Plus (2025)
PhoneArena reports a 6.9-inch, 120 Hz inner display and 4.1-inch cover display for the Flip7, along with an Exynos 2500 processor. Its rear cameras are a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultrawide. The ultrawide is a practical difference if you often photograph landscapes, groups or interiors: the cited comparison describes the Razr Plus (2025) as lacking that camera type.

Who should choose it
- Pick the Flip7 if you want a clamshell and value an ultrawide camera or Samsung’s stated seven-year update commitment.
- Compare the two phones’ cover-screen functions and local prices before deciding; the cited comparison does not establish which is better value in your market today.
- Look beyond benchmarks if your priority is a particular app or game: a synthetic score alone does not establish sustained performance in every workload.
Best book-style alternatives for a larger screen
These phones make sense if you are willing to trade the compact flip format for a larger unfolded display. Their different size and use case mean they should not be ranked as direct replacements for the Razr+ without considering how you carry and use a phone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is a book-style option for buyers who want a large inner screen and multitasking. It belongs in a shortlist against other book-style foldables, especially the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, rather than as a direct clamshell rival. Check current regional specifications, price and availability before comparing it with the Razr+.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Tom’s Guide describes the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as IP68 rated and equipped with a 5x telephoto camera, and presents it as a compelling book-style foldable. TechRadar says it offers a larger battery and longer-range 5x telephoto camera than the Galaxy Z Fold7. Those points may appeal if water-and-dust protection and distant subjects matter to you; verify the precise regional specification and current price before purchase.
TechRadar’s foldable guide also notes that Samsung has announced newer foldables, including the Galaxy Z Flip8 and Z Fold8 family, while saying those models still needed full review before its recommendations changed. That makes model generation and availability especially important to check when comparing the Pixel with Samsung’s book-style option.
Motorola Razr Fold
The Razr Fold carries Motorola’s name but uses a book-style design, not the Razr+’s clamshell form. Tom’s Guide reports support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, a 6,000 mAh battery, 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The reported features may vary by market or final retail configuration, so confirm them with Motorola for the version sold locally. See Tom’s Guide’s Razr Fold comparison.
Quick Recap
How to compare the shortlist before buying
- Match the form factor to your routine. Decide whether you need a clamshell that closes compactly or a book-style device that opens into a larger workspace.
- Try the cover and inner screens. Compare the tasks you can comfortably do while folded, then consider whether the unfolded screen size suits your reading, messaging or multitasking.
- Choose cameras by the shots you take. An ultrawide camera helps fit more into a frame; a 5x telephoto is designed for more distant subjects. Do not assume one camera mix is universally better.
- Read support and durability terms for your exact model. Update commitments and ratings are model-specific; confirm the manufacturer’s current terms and what warranty or repair coverage applies in your location.
- Check local stock and the exact price. Compare like-for-like storage and regional variants. Foldable prices, availability and newer model releases change, so a recommendation may not translate directly across markets.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
