Exophase is the best starting point for a dedicated, cross-platform achievement profile. It lists support for Steam, several other PC stores, and console and mobile ecosystems, with profiles, gamercards, and leaderboards. If your priority is one Windows app that combines Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, EA app, Battle.net, and Ubisoft Connect libraries, choose Playnite and add an achievement extension such as PlayniteAchievements. SteamHunters and Completionist.me make more sense for Steam-centered hunting and comparison than for a single identity spanning every platform.

What a tracker can and cannot unify
Steam and other PC stores do not expose achievements in one common system. Each publisher or storefront controls its account identifiers, achievement API, privacy settings, DLC records, and rules for hidden or unobtainable achievements. A third-party service can aggregate only what an integration can read and what you authorize it to read.

Dedicated profile versus local library
Exophase is designed around an achievement identity. You visit a profile, view platform-specific progress, use a gamercard, and compare results on leaderboards. That model is useful when you want a public record that follows you across different ecosystems rather than a list of installed games on one computer.
Playnite solves a different problem. It imports libraries into a single Windows interface, stores library information locally, and can launch games from the same catalog. Playtime tracking and extensions are part of that workflow. The application itself should be treated as the hub; achievement completeness depends on the extension and the data each store makes available.
Why “all PC stores” is an unsafe promise
An integration may recognize a game but not expose every achievement, may require a public profile, or may update only when a service is queried. A renamed client can also appear under an older label: Playnite documentation refers to both the EA app and Origin, while Ubisoft may appear as Ubisoft Connect or Uplay. Read the current integration notes for the exact account you plan to connect.
Exophase: strongest dedicated cross-platform choice
Exophase describes itself as a cross-platform achievement tracker. Its documented platform list is unusually broad: PlayStation Network (PSN), Xbox, Steam, GOG, Ubisoft, EA, Blizzard, Google Play, Epic, RetroAchievements, Nintendo Switch, and Apple Game Center. The homepage separately names Steam, EA, Blizzard, GOG, Uplay, Google Play, Epic, Nintendo, and Apple Game Center. That makes it the clearest option when your games are divided among PC stores and consoles or mobile platforms.

When Exophase is the right first test
Choose it first if your key question is “How do I show all my achievements in one place?” It is also the better fit when leaderboard participation and social comparison matter more than having a locally stored game catalog. Before importing accounts, check whether each platform currently supports the actions you need: linking, refreshing progress, displaying DLC, and hiding private games.
Limits to check before committing
Platform support is not a guarantee that every game behaves identically. Confirm whether an account must be public, whether updates are automatic or manual, how hidden games are treated, and whether a delisted title still contributes to totals. If you care about a particular DLC pack or an achievement that can no longer be earned, inspect how that game is represented rather than assuming the service applies your preferred policy.
Playnite: best unified Windows game library

Adding achievement tracking with PlayniteAchievements

- Install Playnite from its current official distribution and complete the initial library import for the stores you use.
- Open Playnite’s add-on or extension browser and locate the current PlayniteAchievements project. Read its release notes, required permissions, and supported client versions before installing.
- Install the extension, restart Playnite if it requests one, and open the extension’s settings. Connect only the accounts you intend to query.
- Run an initial scan or refresh. Allow it to finish for a small sample of games before asking it to process a large library.
- Open several known games from different stores and compare the displayed achievement names and earned states with the originating client.
- Record the extension version and date of the last successful refresh. Recheck after Playnite or a store client updates, because an API or login change can interrupt synchronization.
Who should not make Playnite the only tracker
If you want a shareable, cross-console profile, Playnite is the wrong center of gravity. It is a Windows library hub, and achievement visibility is extension-dependent. You may still use it for launching and organization while using Exophase as the public achievement record.
SteamHunters and Completionist.me for Steam-centered hunting
Steam-focused communities commonly compare SteamHunters, Completionist.me, and Exophase. SteamHunters is generally discussed as a hunting and leaderboard service for Steam, while Completionist.me is mentioned as another Steam-oriented alternative. They are useful when nearly all of your progress lives on Steam and you care about game-specific completion discovery or competitive ranking.
Why a Steam-only tracker can be preferable
- It can keep the interface centered on Steam’s achievement catalog instead of mixing unrelated platforms.
- Steam completionists may prefer tools and rankings designed around one store’s game IDs, rarity data, and community habits.
- You avoid linking console or mobile accounts when you do not need a cross-platform profile.
Questions to verify on the current service
Do not assume that a community reputation answers policy details. Check how each service handles DLC achievements, removed or unobtainable achievements, private profiles, achievement unlock anomalies, and anti-cheat flags. Also confirm whether a leaderboard excludes suspicious unlock patterns or simply displays the data it receives. These rules affect your ranking and completion percentage even when the underlying Steam account is unchanged.
Comparison by the decisions that matter
Storefront and platform coverage
For breadth, Exophase has the most explicit multi-platform list, including consoles and mobile. Playnite covers the major PC launchers named above, but its achievement reach comes through extensions. SteamHunters and Completionist.me are best treated as Steam-first services unless their current documentation says otherwise.

Leaderboards, rarity, and social features
Exophase explicitly provides gamercards and multi-platform leaderboards. Steam-focused services are oriented toward hunting and leaderboard comparison within Steam. Playnite’s core purpose is library management; any rarity or social presentation comes from an extension or an external service rather than the launcher itself.
DLC and unobtainable achievements
None of the available platform lists establishes one universal DLC or unobtainable-achievement policy. Before using a completion percentage as a personal target, inspect the service’s game page and settings. Determine whether DLC is included in the denominator, whether removed achievements remain counted, and whether a game with an impossible unlock is marked separately. If the policy is not clearly documented, treat the percentage as that service’s convention, not an objective grade.
Privacy and data location
Playnite’s project states that library information is kept locally. A remote profile service such as Exophase necessarily requires account linking or publicly readable data for the profile features you use. Review each service’s visibility controls before connecting an account, especially if your play history, game ownership, or achievement timestamps are sensitive. Use separate credentials or app authorization where offered, and revoke access when you stop using an integration.
Windows-only versus web and multi-device access
Playnite is a Windows application, so its unified catalog is tied to that desktop environment. Exophase’s profile, gamercard, and leaderboard model is suited to viewing and sharing outside one PC. A Steam-focused website can be convenient on any device, but its value remains centered on Steam data rather than a mixed library.
Extension maintenance and permissions
Every Playnite achievement feature added by a plugin introduces another maintenance point. Check the extension’s latest release, supported Playnite version, issue tracker activity, and requested permissions. If a store changes authentication, an abandoned extension can stop updating even while Playnite itself continues to work. Keep a backup of your Playnite configuration before a major extension change.

- Define your identity: If you want one profile for PC, console, and mobile achievements, test Exophase first. If you want a local Windows catalog, start with Playnite.
- List every account: Write down the stores and platforms that contain meaningful progress. Match each one against the tracker or extension’s current integration list rather than relying on a generic “supports PC games” label.
- Decide where data should live: Select a local-first Playnite workflow when local library storage is important; select a hosted profile when sharing and leaderboards are the priority.
- Test representative games: Include one Steam game, one game from another PC store, and one title with DLC or hidden achievements. Compare totals and earned states with the original clients.
- Set visibility deliberately: Make only the profiles and games you want public. A private source account can prevent a third-party tracker from reading progress.
- Document the baseline: Note the date, plugin version, and game totals after the first successful sync. This makes it easier to identify whether a later discrepancy came from a new unlock or a data refresh.
- Keep a fallback: Do not delete the originating store accounts or rely on a single leaderboard for your historical record. A tracker aggregates data; it does not replace the source account.
Troubleshooting missing or incorrect achievements
The tracker shows no games
- Confirm that the source profile is visible to the integration and that you authorized the intended account.
- Check for a manual refresh, queued scan, or rate limit before reconnecting repeatedly.
- Verify that the game is supported under the exact store edition. A remaster, regional package, or launcher migration may use a different identifier.
Only some achievements appear
- Check whether the missing entries belong to DLC or a separate achievement set.
- Look for hidden, private, or newly released achievements that the service has not indexed yet.
- Compare the originating client’s achievement list with the tracker and report the mismatch through the integration’s current support channel.
Progress is stale after an unlock
- Allow time for the service or extension to poll the source platform, then run its documented refresh action.
- Do not repeatedly revoke and reauthorize access while a scan is running; that can create confusing partial results.
- After a client update, check plugin compatibility and release notes before changing account settings.
A leaderboard position changed unexpectedly
Rankings can move when another player earns achievements, when a service changes its DLC denominator, or when it removes suspicious or invalid unlock data. Capture the game page and your totals at the time of the discrepancy, then compare the service’s current rules with the source account.

Use Exophase as the public achievement profile. Link only the PC, console, and mobile accounts you want represented, set visibility per platform, and validate one game from each ecosystem. Keep the original clients as the authoritative record for unlock history.
