There is no single best 65-inch TV in Australia for every household: the right choice depends on the exact Australian model, current local stock, price and the features that matter for how you watch. The best 65-inch TVs Australia shoppers can buy span accessible QLED and LED sets, Mini LED models and OLED televisions, so screen size alone does not tell you what performance tier you are getting.
Which 65-inch TV should I buy?
Start with the Australian model code and a current local listing, then compare the evidence for that particular set. International product-family names and suffixes can differ from Australian versions; a local code such as LG OLED65C6PSA or Hisense 65Q6SAU is more useful when checking a retailer’s listing, stock or manufacturer information.

Availability can change which recommendations are practical. In its 10 September 2026 update, TechRadar’s Australian 65-inch TV guide removed the Samsung QN90F, TCL C6K and TCL C7K because of lack of Australian stock, and added the Sony Bravia 5 as its mid-range pick. Those are that guide’s editorial choices, not a universal ranking; the update is a reminder to verify that a model is actually available locally.

How should I compare OLED, QLED and Mini LED?
Australian listings include OLED and LCD-based QLED and Mini LED televisions. These labels identify different display approaches, but the available evidence does not provide a complete, same-lab comparison of all the listed 2026 Australian models. It therefore cannot establish that one display type is always best for a bright room, dark-room films, gaming or sport.

Compare model-specific measurements and features instead of choosing on category name alone. Check a detailed independent test or the manufacturer’s page for the exact Australian model before relying on claims about brightness, colour, HDR formats, refresh rate, gaming support or smart platform.

What does independent TV testing tell me?
TechRadar says its 65-inch guide uses objective readings including colour accuracy and brightness, then combines them with a subjective assessment of performance against price and features. That approach is useful for understanding how its guide makes selections, but its picks are not a direct, complete measurement table for every current Australian model. Do not infer a specific brightness or feature from a guide placement when the underlying model-level evidence is not supplied.

What should I check before buying in Australia?
- Exact local model code: Match the full code on the retailer listing to the manufacturer’s Australian information. Similar international model names may not identify the same local product.
- Current stock and price: Check the retailer page close to purchase. A model’s presence in a guide does not guarantee Australian availability.
- Features for your use: Verify gaming, HDR and smart-platform specifications for the exact local variant, rather than assuming them from a family name.
- Warranty terms: Hisense Australia states that all its TVs come with a three-year warranty. Treat this as the manufacturer’s claim and confirm the written terms, exclusions and applicability to the model you are considering.
