The 65-inch LG C6 OLED is a strong all-around starting point: TechRadar named it its best 65-inch TV in an October 5, 2026 roundup, and RTINGS includes it in its current 65-inch recommendations. For a premium OLED alternative, consider the Samsung S95H; for a budget-oriented Mini-LED comparison, look at the TCL QM7K. These are publications’ recommendations, not results of independent testing for this guide, and the right choice depends on your room, budget and priorities.

Which 65-inch smart TVs are worth comparing?

Model Why it is on the shortlist Best fit to investigate
LG C6 OLED TechRadar named it its best 65-inch TV in its October 5, 2026 roundup; RTINGS also includes it in its current size-specific recommendations. A broad all-around starting point if you want OLED.
Samsung S95H RTINGS includes it among its 2026 65-inch recommendations and names it its best OLED TV tested in 2026. A premium OLED alternative to compare with the C6.
TCL QM7K TechRadar identifies it among its budget options. A budget-oriented Mini-LED comparison.

Rankings reflect each publication’s own review method; “best” is not a universal measurement. Prices, stock, regional model suffixes and specifications can change, so check the exact 65-inch model available in your country before buying. TechRadar’s roundup, RTINGS’ 65-inch recommendations and RTINGS’ OLED recommendations provide the cited shortlist context.

OLED or Mini-LED/QLED: which suits your room?

Start with the room rather than the screen-size label. OLED and Mini-LED/QLED sets are different picture-technology options, and the useful choice depends partly on ambient light and reflections. What Hi-Fi suggests that buyers with exceptionally bright rooms may favor a very bright QLED model. That is a reason to compare bright Mini-LED/QLED alternatives with OLED—not a claim that every QLED outperforms every OLED.

Compare the exact models’ brightness, reflection handling and picture features in full reviews. TechRadar’s budget-oriented TCL QM7K provides a Mini-LED point of comparison against the OLED LG C6 and Samsung S95H, but the cited roundup alone does not establish which set performs best in your room. What Hi-Fi’s 65-inch guide outlines useful comparison fields.

What specifications matter most?

HDR support

Check which HDR formats the exact model supports, then consider whether those formats matter for the content and devices you use. A format name alone does not tell you how a television will look in your room; use model-specific review findings as well.

Gaming features and HDMI inputs

For a console or gaming PC, verify the model’s refresh rate, variable refresh rate (VRR), auto low latency mode (ALLM), game-mode support and number of HDMI 2.1 inputs. Do not assume that a category label such as “gaming TV” guarantees a particular combination. Port count matters if you need to connect multiple high-bandwidth devices without regularly swapping cables.

Smart-TV software

Check the operating system and confirm that the apps and interface you want are available on the exact set. RTINGS notes, for example, that the Hisense U7SG uses Fire TV rather than the Google TV interface found on another model in its roundup. That illustrates why platform details should be checked model by model; it does not make either interface universally preferable. Voice controls and update support are also worth checking.

Price and size-specific value

Compare current prices for the same screen size and regional model, including discounted previous-generation sets. Roundup rankings and availability change, and a lower price does not establish equivalent features or performance. Verify the model suffix and the 65-inch size on the retailer’s listing before comparing offers.

Will a 65-inch TV fit your viewing distance and space?

About 2 m (6.5 ft) is a generally accepted viewing-distance guideline for a 65-inch 4K TV, according to What Hi-Fi’s 2026 guide. Treat it as a starting point rather than a rule: seating position, preference and room layout can change what feels comfortable.

Before ordering, check the exact television’s width, stand dimensions and mounting requirements against your furniture or wall. Also consider glare from windows and lights; a screen that fits physically may still be poorly placed for the room.

How to make the final choice

  1. Measure the available space and estimate your usual seating distance; use roughly 2 m (6.5 ft) as a starting guideline for 65-inch 4K viewing.
  2. Decide whether the room’s brightness and reflections make a bright Mini-LED/QLED option worth comparing with OLED.
  3. Compare the LG C6, Samsung S95H and TCL QM7K against your budget and priorities, using full model-specific reviews rather than headline rankings alone.
  4. For gaming, check refresh rate, VRR, ALLM, game mode and HDMI 2.1 input count on the exact regional model.
  5. Confirm HDR formats, smart-TV platform, required apps, dimensions, current price and local availability before purchase.
