The right cold-air intake for a Chrysler 300C with the 5.7-liter HEMI is determined by model year, trim, headlights, hood and emissions jurisdiction—not by engine displacement alone. For 2011–2023 300C models, CORSA 44017D/44017 is the broadest manufacturer-listed option in the available data. CORSA specifies a carbon-fiber intake, heat shield, dry- or oiled-filter choices and no required tune, while advertising up to 15 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque. Those figures are manufacturer claims, not independent 300C dyno results, and CORSA says the results can vary.
Owners of other years need a different path: aFe’s 54-10712 instructions identify a 2005 300C 5.7L, Mopar’s historical catalog lists 77060003AC for 2004–2006 300 5.7L cars, and aFe’s Momentum GT 51-72202-R covers 2011–2014 cars but excludes factory HID-headlight models. A separate K&N/AIRAID 69-2526TP listing is associated with a 2023 Chrysler 300 5.7L and gives an estimated 18.18 horsepower at 3,993 rpm, but the listing says it is not legal for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles.

Quick picks by Chrysler 300C year
| Vehicle or use case | Candidate | What the listing establishes | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2011–2023 Chrysler 300C 5.7L V8 | CORSA 44017D/44017 | Carbon-fiber duct, dedicated heat shield, dry or oiled reusable filter, replacement filters, no tune required; up to 15 hp and 18 lb-ft claimed | CORSA lists CARB EO as unavailable. Confirm hood clearance and exact application before ordering. |
| 2023 Chrysler 300 5.7L V8 | K&N/AIRAID 69-2526TP | Estimated 18.18 hp at 3,993 rpm; replacement filter 722-127; 60–90-minute installation estimate | The listing says it is not legal for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles. Verify trim and application. |
| 2005 Chrysler 300C 5.7L | aFe 54-10712 | aFe installation instructions name the 2005 300C and reference a CARB EO sticker | The instructions establish the documented application, not current inventory or universal fitment for later years. |
| 2004–2006 Chrysler 300 5.7L | Mopar 77060003AC | Historical Mopar performance-parts catalog listing | The catalog is old. Current stock, emissions status and exact compatibility require confirmation. |
| 2011–2014 Chrysler 300 5.7L | aFe Momentum GT 51-72202-R | aFe manual lists this Chrysler 300 application; related material reports up to 14 hp and 14 lb-ft | aFe’s announcement excludes Chrysler 300 models with factory HID headlights. |
| Any year considering CORSA 463576 | CORSA PowerCore | Closed-box design and dry filter; replacement part identified | The page marks it obsolete, and its CARB EO listing is limited to 2011–2014 300C. Do not treat it as a current recommendation without verified stock. |
These are fitment leads, not a universal ranking. A kit that fits a Charger or Challenger with the same HEMI displacement does not automatically fit a 300C. Use the manufacturer’s current application selector and installation document for the exact year and configuration.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhy model-year matching matters on a 5.7 HEMI 300C
The 300 and 300C changed intake plumbing, sensor locations, airbox geometry and front-end packaging over time. Even within one generation, a different headlight package or hood can alter the space available around the intake. The published applications above are therefore narrower than the phrase “5.7 HEMI Chrysler intake” suggests.

2004–2006 cars
Mopar’s historical catalog lists 77060003AC for 2004–2006 Chrysler 300 5.7L models. Because that catalog is not a current inventory statement, treat the part number as a research starting point. Check whether a seller can provide a current, complete kit and installation instructions, and confirm that the supplied tube, brackets and sensor provisions match your specific car.
2005 Chrysler 300C
aFe’s 54-10712 installation instructions specifically identify the 2005 Chrysler 300C 5.7L. The document also references a CARB EO sticker, which is useful evidence for that documented application. It does not prove that the same kit fits a 2006 or a later 300C, nor does it prove that a currently listed unit is in stock. Ask for the exact part number and the current instructions before paying for an old-stock kit.
2011–2014 cars
Two candidates have published evidence for this range. aFe’s Momentum GT 51-72202-R manual lists the Chrysler 300 5.7L from 2011 through 2014, while the related product announcement reports up to 14 horsepower and 14 lb-ft of torque. That announcement excludes 300 models equipped with factory HID headlights, so headlight equipment must be part of the fitment check.
CORSA’s 44017D/44017 listing also includes these years as part of its wider 2011–2023 range. If comparing the two, confirm the headlight restriction on the aFe unit and the emissions status of the CORSA unit in your jurisdiction before considering power claims.
2015–2023 cars
CORSA’s 44017D/44017 is the broadest listed candidate for this later span, covering 2011–2023 Chrysler 300C 5.7L V8 models according to the manufacturer. The K&N/AIRAID 69-2526TP listing is specifically associated with a 2023 Chrysler 300 5.7L, not every earlier model year. A reader asking about a 2022 300S with the 5.7 V8 should use the exact 2022 application selector rather than assuming the 2023 listing carries backward.
Detailed look at the documented candidates
CORSA 44017D/44017: broad later-model coverage
CORSA describes this intake as a carbon-fiber system with a dedicated heat shield. Buyers can choose a dry or oiled reusable filter, and CORSA lists replacement filters. The company says no tune is required and reports up to 15 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque for the listed applications. “Up to” is important: the page does not guarantee those gains, and the result can change with the vehicle, test method, calibration, fuel, ambient conditions and existing modifications.

The main practical limitation is emissions status. CORSA lists CARB EO as unavailable for 44017D/44017. That does not automatically determine legality everywhere, but it means California owners and anyone subject to CARB-based rules should not assume this kit is permissible. Check the part number against the rules that apply where the car is registered and driven.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Also check physical clearance if the car has an aftermarket hood. The manufacturer’s 2011–2023 range is not a promise that every non-factory hood leaves the same space around the carbon-fiber duct and heat shield.
K&N/AIRAID 69-2526TP: a 2023-specific listing
The cited listing associates 69-2526TP with a 2023 Chrysler 300 5.7L V8 and estimates 18.18 horsepower at 3,993 rpm. This is a vendor estimate, not an independently verified test on a 300C, and it should not be compared directly with CORSA’s “up to” figure as though both were measured on the same dyno, vehicle and conditions.
The listing gives a replacement filter number, 722-127, and estimates installation at 60–90 minutes. Its most consequential caveat is legal: the page says the product is not legal for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles. Verify your trim, emissions equipment and jurisdiction before ordering, even if the physical parts appear similar to another 300 model.
aFe 54-10712: an exact-year lead for 2005
The value of 54-10712 is the specificity of aFe’s installation document: it names the 2005 Chrysler 300C 5.7L rather than relying on a generic HEMI description. The document references a CARB EO sticker, but that reference should be checked against the actual kit and label you receive. The instructions do not establish current inventory, pricing or fitment for other years.
Mopar 77060003AC: historical OEM catalog evidence
77060003AC appears in a historical Mopar performance-parts catalog for 2004–2006 Chrysler 300 5.7L models. It may be useful when searching old-stock or used parts, but the catalog does not establish that the part remains available, that every component is included, or that its emissions status satisfies current rules. Request photographs, the complete part-number set and installation documentation before treating it as a purchase-ready option.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
aFe Momentum GT 51-72202-R: useful only within its stated window
aFe’s manual lists 51-72202-R for 2011–2014 Chrysler 300 5.7L cars. Related aFe material reports up to 14 horsepower and 14 lb-ft, again as a manufacturer figure rather than a controlled comparison with other kits. The factory-HID exclusion is decisive: a car with those headlights needs a different verified application, not an assumption based on the longer Charger or Challenger fitment ranges shown in related catalogs.
CORSA 463576 PowerCore: obsolete listing
The PowerCore listing identifies a closed-box intake and a dry filter, but marks the product obsolete. Its CARB EO information is shown only for 2011–2014 300C models. Obsolescence and limited emissions information make it a poor default recommendation; consider it only if a seller can verify genuine, complete stock and the exact legal application for your car.
How to decide what “best” means for your car
Horsepower is only one selection criterion, and the published numbers are not head-to-head measurements. Use this order of importance:
- Exact fitment: match model year, engine, body/trim, headlight package and hood. A 5.7-liter engine code by itself is insufficient.
- Emissions legality: determine whether your jurisdiction requires a CARB Executive Order or another approval. Product status is specific to the kit and application.
- Airbox design: compare an enclosed or heat-shielded system with an exposed filter. A shield or closed box can reduce exposure to under-hood heat, while an open design may prioritize sound or packaging; neither description substitutes for a verified dyno result.
- Filter type: choose dry or oiled media according to your maintenance preference, sensor precautions and replacement-filter access.
- Tuning requirement: CORSA states that 44017D/44017 needs no tune. Do not transfer that statement to another brand or part number.
- Support and availability: confirm current stock, warranty terms, replacement-filter availability and the presence of all brackets, couplers and sensor fittings.
For a later 300C with no California restriction, CORSA is the most broadly documented candidate in this set. For a 2023 car, 69-2526TP is a separate option with a published estimate and a clear California warning. For a 2005 car, 54-10712 is the most directly documented year match. For 2004–2006 cars, 77060003AC is historical evidence rather than a guaranteed current buy.
Understanding the advertised power numbers
| Manufacturer and kit | Published figure | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| CORSA 44017D/44017 | Up to 15 hp and 18 lb-ft | Manufacturer-reported maximum for listed 5.7L applications; CORSA says results may vary and does not guarantee the outcome. |
| K&N/AIRAID 69-2526TP | Estimated 18.18 hp at 3,993 rpm | Vendor estimate; the listing does not establish an independent 300C test or a controlled comparison with other intakes. |
| aFe Momentum GT 51-72202-R | Up to 14 hp and 14 lb-ft | Related aFe product material; tied to the 2011–2014 Chrysler 300 application and subject to the factory-HID exclusion. |
No independent comparative dyno test covering these kits on the same Chrysler 300C 5.7L configuration is established by the available material. Treat the figures as directional marketing claims, not guaranteed increases at the wheels or crankshaft. A driver may notice intake sound or throttle response before any measurable peak-power change, but that subjective experience is not a substitute for a controlled test.
Emissions and legal checks before you order
Emissions status belongs to the exact product and application. CORSA lists CARB EO as unavailable for 44017D/44017. The 69-2526TP listing says it is not legal for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles. The aFe 54-10712 instructions reference a CARB EO sticker for the documented 2005 application. These statements cannot be generalized to every intake, year or state.

If the vehicle is registered in California or another jurisdiction using CARB-style requirements, look for the applicable Executive Order and confirm that it covers your exact engine and model year. Keep the label and documentation with the vehicle if the manufacturer requires it. If the product page is ambiguous, ask the manufacturer for written confirmation before installation; do not rely on a retailer’s generic “fits HEMI” description.

Fitment verification checklist
- Record the vehicle identification number, model year, body style, engine and trim. Note factory HID headlights and any non-stock hood.
- Open the manufacturer’s current application selector and enter the vehicle exactly as configured. Save the displayed part number.
- Compare that number with the installation instructions, not just a product photograph. Check intake tube routing, mass-airflow or intake-air-temperature sensor provisions, brackets and heat-shield attachment points.
- Read the emissions statement for that exact part number and year. A CARB note for one application does not approve another.
- Ask the seller to confirm that the kit is new, complete and currently supported. This matters especially for the historical Mopar listing and the obsolete CORSA 463576.
- Check hood and headlight clearance on a modified car. Factory-HID exclusions and aftermarket hoods are explicit reasons not to assume compatibility.
- Retain the invoice, installation document and emissions label where applicable.
Installation planning and first-start procedure
Use the supplied instructions for the exact kit; generic steps cannot replace the manufacturer’s sensor and clamp specifications. The only published time in this comparison is the 60–90-minute estimate for 69-2526TP. An older or modified car can take longer if fasteners are seized or the original airbox has been altered.
- Park on a cool engine, set the parking brake and gather the correct sockets, screwdrivers, pliers and a clean work surface. Do not remove a filter from a hot engine.
- Identify every hose, electrical connector and clamp before disassembly. Photograph the original routing if access is tight.
- Remove the factory airbox and intake duct only as described in the kit instructions. Protect the exposed throttle-body opening from debris.
- Transfer sensors, grommets and brackets exactly as specified. A missing seal or disconnected breather can create an unmetered-air leak.
- Install the new duct, filter and heat shield or enclosure without forcing parts against the hood, headlight or radiator support.
- Tighten clamps evenly and verify that the filter is fully seated. Reconnect every sensor and hose before starting.
- Inspect for tools, loose hardware and rubbing points. Start the engine, let it idle and check for warning lights, hissing or abnormal vibration.
- After a short gentle drive, recheck clamp tightness and clearance. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for any adaptive-idle or diagnostic procedure.
Do not add a tune simply because an intake is installed unless the intake manufacturer or a qualified calibrator specifically calls for one. CORSA states that its 44017D/44017 requires no tune; that statement does not apply automatically to other kits.
Dry versus oiled filters
Dry media
Dry filters avoid the oiling step and can be convenient for owners who want a simpler cleaning routine. CORSA offers a dry-filter choice for 44017D/44017, and the CORSA PowerCore listing identifies a dry filter. Clean and replace the element at the interval and by the method specified for that filter; do not use an oiling procedure meant for a different media type.
Oiled media
Oiled reusable filters can be cleaned and re-oiled, but the amount of oil and drying time matter. Excess oil can migrate toward intake sensors, while insufficient oil may reduce the filter’s intended dust capture. Use only the filter maker’s service products and instructions. If you prefer to avoid that maintenance step, select the documented dry option where available.
Replacement support is part of the decision. CORSA lists replacement filters for 44017D/44017, and the 69-2526TP listing identifies replacement filter 722-127. For historical or obsolete kits, verify that replacement elements are still obtainable before buying the intake.

Common problems after installation
Check-engine light or unstable idle
Recheck every sensor connector, breather hose, clamp and rubber seal. An intake leak downstream of the metering point can cause an incorrect air reading. Scan the vehicle for the stored code before replacing parts, and return the original intake temporarily if the instructions allow and diagnosis requires a known-good baseline.
Airbox or hood contact
Stop driving if the duct, heat shield or filter touches the hood or headlight assembly. Confirm that the kit is approved for the exact headlight package and that no aftermarket hood has changed the available clearance.
Little or no measurable power increase
That result is consistent with the limits of the vendor estimates. The published figures are “up to” or estimated values, and no same-car independent comparison establishes a guaranteed gain. Check installation integrity, then judge the intake on fit, sound, serviceability and legal status rather than peak horsepower alone.
Filter service confusion
First identify whether the element is dry or oiled. Follow that filter’s cleaning instructions and use the correct replacement part. Mixing service methods can damage the media or contaminate sensors.
Which buyer should choose which candidate?
| Your situation | Most defensible starting point | Why | What to verify first |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2011–2023 300C 5.7L, standard factory configuration | CORSA 44017D/44017 | Widest listed 300C range and documented heat-shielded carbon-fiber design | CARB status, exact year, hood clearance and current stock |
| 2023 Chrysler 300 5.7L outside California | K&N/AIRAID 69-2526TP | Specific 2023 listing, replacement filter number and installation estimate | Trim/application confirmation and local emissions legality |
| 2005 300C 5.7L | aFe 54-10712 | Installation document names the exact year and model | Complete current kit, CARB label and availability |
| 2004–2006 300 5.7L seeking an OEM-branded part | Mopar 77060003AC | Historical catalog match for the year range | Current stock, completeness, legality and physical compatibility |
| 2011–2014 300 5.7L with no factory HID headlights | aFe Momentum GT 51-72202-R | Manual lists the application and related material reports a power estimate | Headlight equipment, exact year and emissions documentation |
Bottom line for a 5.7 HEMI Chrysler 300C
There is no single intake that is best for every 300C. Start with the exact model-year application, then eliminate products that fail your emissions rules or physical-clearance requirements. CORSA 44017D/44017 is the strongest broad-range candidate for 2011–2023 300C 5.7L models, but its unavailable CARB EO status matters. The 69-2526TP listing is a separate 2023 option with an 18.18-hp estimate and an explicit California restriction. For earlier cars, aFe 54-10712 is the documented 2005 lead, while Mopar 77060003AC is historical evidence for 2004–2006 rather than a guaranteed current product. Treat every horsepower figure as a manufacturer estimate, verify the part number against your complete vehicle configuration and confirm stock before ordering.
