BenQ is Taiwanese, not Chinese. Its official headquarters are in Taipei, Taiwan. The apparent confusion comes from the company’s name history: the business that became Qisda Corporation changed its corporate name from BenQ Corporation in July 2007, while BenQ continued as a brand and is identified in its 2024 reporting as a wholly owned Qisda subsidiary.
Where is BenQ based?
BenQ’s 2024 ESG report lists its head office at No. 16, Jihu Road, Neihu District, Taipei City, Taiwan 114. Its global offices page gives the same Taipei headquarters address. BenQ Global Offices

That makes BenQ a Taiwanese company and brand by headquarters and corporate base. This answers the nationality question; it does not establish where any particular monitor, projector, or other product was manufactured.
Why are BenQ and Qisda both associated with the company?
The names refer to different points in the company’s history and its present corporate structure. Qisda’s 2023 annual report says that in July 2007 the corporate name changed from BenQ Corporation to Qisda Corporation. Older references to “BenQ Corporation” may describe the company before the 2007 name change. That historical naming does not mean the present-day BenQ brand changed national origin.
What does BenQ make?

The 2024 ESG report records BenQ Corporation revenue of TWD 23.5 billion for 2024 and 1,773 employees worldwide as of December 2024. These figures describe BenQ Corporation, not Qisda’s consolidated totals.

No. Headquarters and corporate nationality do not establish the manufacturing origin of an individual device. The company sources cited here establish BenQ’s Taipei base and its relationship with Qisda; they do not show where every product is made. Check the label or product documentation for the manufacturing origin of a specific monitor or projector.
