This guide is based on Beko’s published specifications and the CHOICE listing for the model. It does not include hands-on testing, and the independent scores on the CHOICE page are member-only, so public evidence cannot confirm how well the cooktop cooks.
What the Beko BCT601IGN is
Beko Australia describes the BCT601IGN as an induction hob with four induction zones and one Flexizone, nine cooking levels per zone, LED direct-access slider controls, and black glass construction. The product sheet, dated 2022, lists the same 7.4 kW total and zone configuration as the current product page, which Beko Australia’s site showed when checked in October 2026.

Power and zone ratings
Beko publishes a normal and boost rating for each zone. These are manufacturer figures and show the maximum each zone can draw, not measured cooking performance.

Will it fit your benchtop?
Do not rely on a generic “standard 60 cm” label. Beko’s figures are more precise, and a renovation or replacement needs these numbers:

- Weight: 12.1 kg, which matters if one person is lifting it into place.
Before ordering, compare these numbers with your existing opening, check the clearances in the manual, and confirm that the cabinetry beneath and beside the cooktop meets those clearances.
Electrical requirements
Beko’s product sheet lists a supply of 220–240 V single-phase (1N~) or 380–415 V two-phase (2N~) at 50 Hz, with a minimum fuse rating of 16 A × 2. Whether your home can run this cooktop depends on the supply actually present at the installation point and on local rules. Confirm the configuration against the manual and have a qualified installer check it. Do not assume a plug-in connection; this is a hard-wired built-in appliance.

IndyFlex: combining zones for larger cookware
Beko’s IndyFlex feature lets the flexible zone, and two of the standard zones, merge into one larger cooking area. The product sheet says two zones can be merged at the touch of a button. Beko’s official product copy puts it this way: “These flexible cooking zones combine to create larger ones, so you can use 4 pans or 2 larger ones to make whatever strikes your fancy.”

This is useful if your cookware is large, oval, or does not sit neatly over a single zone. Beko does not say the feature improves cooking speed or results, and no independent test in the accessible sources measures either. Any induction-compatible cookware you buy for the larger zone should be checked against the zone’s size and your manufacturer’s guidance.

CHOICE publishes a page titled “Beko BCT601IGN review.” It displays an indicated price of A$1,149 and states the test year as “2023 or earlier.” The warranty is listed as two years, extendable to five years if the product is registered.

The A$1,149 figure is the price CHOICE displays on its page, not a current offer. The CHOICE page shows no current prices or retailer links. Beko Australia’s product page currently states it has no online retailers for this model. Check local stock, current pricing, and warranty terms with a retailer at the time you buy.
Who the specifications suit
The BCT601IGN is most relevant to a buyer who needs a 60 cm, four-zone induction layout with a flexible zone, and whose benchtop opening, electrical supply, and cabinetry already match the figures above. For a verdict on cooking quality or long-term reliability, the public evidence does not yet provide one.
