The Beko BBM407PX is a freestanding, frost-free bottom-mount fridge-freezer with 353 L of stated net capacity: 269 L in the fridge and 84 L in the freezer. Beko lists separate cooling systems, a reversible door and vacation mode, but the available independent review listing does not reveal its performance scores. The model is marked discontinued by CHOICE, and Beko Australia currently shows no online retailers, so availability and support deserve as much attention as the specifications.
What kind of appliance is the BBM407PX?
This is a freestanding refrigerator-freezer with the freezer below the refrigerator. Beko’s Australian and New Zealand product pages describe it as frost-free and give the same core dimensions: 172 cm high, 70 cm wide and 67 cm deep. The Australian page lists the finish as platinum. Check the rating label on the specific unit and the manual for its market before relying on dimensions or installation requirements.

The older Australian specification sheet lists a depth of 660 mm, described as including the doors, while the newer regional product pages list 67 cm. Treat those figures as a screening guide, not a substitute for measuring the particular appliance and the space around it.

Beko’s current regional product pages state 269 L of net refrigerator volume and 84 L of net freezer volume, for 353 L total net capacity. An older 2017/2018 Australian specification sheet gives 407 L gross and 353 L net. Gross volume and net usable storage are different measures; when comparing appliances, match net capacity with net capacity.

Energy use and noise: published specifications, not test results
Beko New Zealand lists a 3.5-star energy rating, annual energy consumption of 365 kWh at 32°C, daily consumption of 1.0 kWh at 32°C, and noise of 39 dBA. These are manufacturer specifications for the New Zealand market. The 365 kWh figure is tied to the stated 32°C condition; it should not be treated as a guaranteed household electricity bill or directly compared with another market’s label without checking the rating system and test conditions.
CHOICE also records the claimed 365 kWh/year figure. Its listing does not expose the model’s independent energy, cooling, noise, reliability or satisfaction results to non-members, so the published figures alone cannot establish how the refrigerator performs in a particular home.

Features Beko lists
Separate NeoFrost cooling
Beko describes NeoFrost as separate cooling systems for the fridge and freezer, intended to maintain airflow and reduce frost and odour transfer. Its product copy says the systems “maintain ideal air flow and optimal temperatures in both the freezer and the fridge.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not an independently verified result for this model.

The product page names a ProSmart inverter compressor, Active Fresh Blue Light, an Active Odour Filter, reversible doors and vacation mode. Beko associates these features with benefits such as freshness, odour control, quiet operation and energy savings. The available independent listing does not establish those outcomes for the BBM407PX, so consider them feature claims rather than proof of real-world performance.

Beko New Zealand additionally specifies SN-T climate class and a freezing capacity of 5 kg per day. These are manufacturer specifications; check that the applicable label and requirements match the unit being sold in your market.
What the independent review listing can—and cannot—tell you
CHOICE lists the BBM407PX as tested in 2018 and marks it discontinued. Its public listing shows claimed energy information, but the detailed performance, energy, noise, reliability and owner-satisfaction results are members-only. The listing therefore does not support a conclusion that the model passed or failed a cooling, noise or reliability test.

No accessible independent performance score or owner-survey result is established here. If temperature stability, operating noise or long-term reliability is decisive, seek verifiable test results or service information before buying rather than inferring a verdict from the specification sheet.

Beko Australia’s product page currently reports no online retailers for the model, while CHOICE labels it discontinued. That points to limited availability, but it does not establish that every local retailer or second-hand seller has no stock. No current price or stock listing is established here; check a live local seller listing before deciding whether the asking price is reasonable.

Beko Australia’s current product page lists a 10-year compressor/motor warranty. An older 2017/2018 Australian specification sheet described a two-year warranty plus three additional years by registration, and 10 years on the inverter compressor. These are different documents and may reflect different terms or periods. Confirm the warranty applying to the exact unit, country, purchase date and registration status rather than assuming either document governs a present sale.
For a clearance or used appliance, verify the model and serial labels, operating condition, included shelves and drawers, warranty coverage, delivery and installation charges, and return terms. Parts availability and retailer support matter more when buying a discontinued model.
Fit and installation checks before purchase
- Measure the appliance space, including the height, width and depth available, and compare it with the dimensions for the exact unit.
- Check the required ventilation clearances and door-swing space in the manual; confirm whether the door can be reversed for your kitchen layout.
- Measure the delivery route through external doors, hallways and any turns, not only the final opening.
- Use the manual for the relevant unit and market. Beko notes that its illustrations are schematic and optional components can vary, so do not assume every pictured feature or accessory is included.
- Confirm the rating label, included fittings, warranty documents and installation responsibilities with the seller before payment.

How to compare it with another fridge-freezer
Compare like with like across the same market and measurement basis. A useful shortlist check is:
Quick Recap
- Fit: height, width, depth, ventilation clearance, door swing and delivery route.
- Storage: net refrigerator and freezer litres, rather than mixing gross and net capacity.
- Energy: the relevant jurisdiction’s energy label and test conditions; star ratings from different markets are not automatically equivalent.
- Noise: published dBA on a consistent basis, followed by independent testing if quiet operation is essential.
- Ownership: current stock, warranty terms, parts access, retailer support and return policy.
