Beats 360 looks like a versatile choice if you want over-ear headphones for work, travel, and workouts, with cushions you can replace or change for a different look and feel. AppleInsider reviewer Malcolm Owen reports clear, balanced sound, comfortable long sessions, effective office noise cancellation, and a secure exercise fit. Those are one reviewer’s impressions, not independent test results. The main trade-off is practical: Beats 360 has no wired audio connection, while its IPX4 rating covers sweat and splashes—not swimming.
Who is Beats 360 best for?
Beats 360 is best suited to listeners who want one wireless over-ear pair for everyday listening, travel, and gym use, and who value replaceable or customizable cushions. Beats says the headphones work with Apple and Android devices. Its product page describes platform compatibility; specific features can vary by device and software, so check current documentation if a particular function matters to you.

In his September 22, 2026 review for AppleInsider, Malcolm Owen describes a compact frame, rotating earcups, physical controls, and ANC and Transparency modes. He reports balanced, clear sound across music and TV, comfort during multi-hour work sessions, effective ANC in his office, understandable calls, and a secure fit during workouts. These observations reflect his use, not lab measurements or a broader consensus.

Is Beats 360 good for working out?
Beats rates the headphones IPX4 for sweat and water resistance and positions them for gym, travel, and everyday use. The rating supports use around sweat and splashes; it does not mean the headphones are waterproof or suitable for swimming or submersion. Owen reports that the fit stayed secure during his workouts, but that is his review experience rather than a guarantee for every wearer.
Beats advertises up to 32 hours of playback with ANC on. It also claims that a five-minute charge provides up to one hour of playback. These are manufacturer-rated figures, not independently measured battery results in the AppleInsider review. For workouts, the IPX4 rating is the more important distinction from headphones without a stated sweat-and-water rating.

What do the interchangeable cushions change?
Beats says the included cushions are color-matched Performance Knit. Optional cushion kits come in Performance Knit and UltraPlush, and each kit includes both earcup cushions and the headband cushion. The ear cushions twist off and on; the headband cushion attaches at its mounting points. Beats says tools are not needed.
This makes the feature useful for replacing worn cushions as well as changing color or material. It is not, by itself, evidence that a different kit will change sound or fit. Beats confirms the kits are available but current accessory prices were not established in the cited sources. Compare the cost of a kit with how much you value a refresh or replacement before treating customization as a major reason to buy.

What is the biggest limitation?
Beats 360 is wireless-only for audio. Owen reports that its USB-C port is for charging and does not carry audio, and that there is no 3.5 mm audio connection. If you need a physical connection or wired lossless playback, that is a significant drawback.
Beats’ comparison page lists lossless audio over USB-C or 3.5 mm for Beats Studio Pro, in contrast to Beats 360. The same page lists these manufacturer specifications:

Should you buy Beats 360?
Beats 360 is a reasonable fit if you want wireless over-ear headphones for varied everyday use, want a stated IPX4 sweat-and-water-resistance rating for gym sessions, and like the option to replace or change the cushions. Owen’s review offers positive impressions of sound, comfort, ANC, calls, and workout fit, while the manufacturer’s battery claims are clearly specified but not independently verified here.
Look elsewhere if you need wired audio or lossless playback through a cable; USB-C does not provide audio on Beats 360. Studio Pro is the clearer Beats comparison for that need, while Beats 360’s stated IPX4 rating and interchangeable cushions set it apart in other ways.
