They make the most sense for exercise and everyday Bluetooth listening; they are harder to recommend if you need wired playback, dislike a tight clamp, or expect consistently balanced sound. Reviews put the U.S. price at about $350, but check current pricing and cushion-kit availability before buying.
What the Beats 360 are—and who they suit
The Beats 360 are premium Bluetooth over-ear headphones with removable, interchangeable ear cushions and headband cushioning. The modular design is more than a styling detail: it lets owners change the look and, depending on the cushion, the feel against the ear. Beats executive Oliver Schusser described the design aim to TechRadar as: “We wanted to create a new ID, a new look, and a new over-ear headphone for a different purpose.” TechRadar’s September 2026 review and interview discusses that design direction.

The clearest fit is someone who wants over-ear headphones for workouts and values color and customization. WIRED rated them 7/10 and called them a particularly strong gym option, citing their secure fit, IPX4 water resistance and swappable cushioning. Those are reviewer assessments, not a guarantee that they will fit every head or stay comfortable through every workout. At roughly 295 grams, they are light for over-ear headphones by WIRED’s reported specification, though weight alone does not determine comfort.

Workout fit and cushions
Reviews describe two cushion styles, Performance Knit and UltraPlush. SoundGuys found the knit option more comfortable and moisture-wicking, while WIRED emphasized the secure fit and ability to swap cushioning. A close fit can help keep headphones in place during exercise, but the right cushion is personal: the UltraPlush seal felt pressure-inducing to SoundGuys, and WIRED noted a strong clamp that may be less welcome during ordinary all-day wear.

Confirm those details with the current Beats listing before buying a kit. The coverage describes possible team-color collaborations as a future direction, not an announced product currently available.
Water resistance has limits
WIRED and SoundGuys report an IPX4 rating. That indicates resistance to splashing water, which is relevant for sweat and light rain, but it is not a claim that the headphones are waterproof or suitable for submersion. Treat them as workout-friendly, not as gear to rinse under a tap or wear swimming.

Sound quality and noise cancellation
Sound quality is the most divided part of the reviews. WIRED found the midrange lackluster, while SoundGuys says the sound changes substantially with listening mode. Tom’s Guide was more positive about noise cancellation in a gym setting. These assessments do not establish how the headphones will perform for every listener or in every environment, and SoundGuys said its laboratory measurements of ANC and frequency response were still in progress when its review was published.
That variation matters if you plan to use the 360s for more than workouts. A gym-focused assessment is not evidence that the same ANC will be equally effective on an airplane, and the reviewers do not provide a settled lab comparison across those settings. If you are sensitive to pressure, try the fit and noise cancellation before committing when possible; cushion seal and clamp can affect comfort as much as the headline ANC feature.

Connectivity: a firm no for wired listening
The Beats 360 are wireless-only headphones. WIRED lists no wired connectivity; SoundGuys reports that USB-C is for charging only, with no 3.5 mm jack and no USB audio support. If your use requires a cable—for example, wired playback from a device or an audio setup that does not support Bluetooth—choose another model. SoundGuys names the Beats Studio Pro as an alternative for listeners who value wired inputs; its review says that model offers both USB-C audio and 3.5 mm connectivity.
Bluetooth specifications listed by WIRED include Bluetooth 5.3 and SBC/AAC codecs. The supplied reviews do not establish a wired or lossless playback path for the 360, so do not buy them expecting one.

Battery life, controls and other practical details
WIRED and SoundGuys report a stated battery life of up to 32 hours with ANC enabled. This is a reported specification, not an independently verified runtime result in those reviews; actual playback time can vary with use and settings. BGR reports Beats’ claim that a five-minute charge provides up to one hour of playback. Tom’s Guide notes physical controls and flags the lack of wear detection, so playback will not automatically respond to taking the headphones off in the way wear-detection models can.
Published weight figures are nearly identical: WIRED lists 295 grams, while SoundGuys reports 294.5 grams. The small difference is consistent with rounding, not evidence of meaningfully different versions.

Beats 360 review verdict: are they worth about $350?
At roughly $350 in the cited U.S. coverage, the Beats 360 are easiest to justify if workout stability, color options and interchangeable cushions are priorities. Their IPX4 rating and the favorable gym-focused assessments give them a clear use case, while the modular cushioning makes their look and feel more configurable than a fixed-pad design.
The compromises are substantial for a premium headphone: no wired playback, subjective sound and comfort that vary by mode and wearer, and a clamp that some reviewers found strong. Check the live headphone price and cushion-kit availability before ordering, since the September 2026 coverage reports a price near $350 rather than a guaranteed current retail price. If you primarily want wired flexibility or an established route to lossless playback, the Beats 360 are not the right choice.
