A few guides advertise 22 swords or mention an additional Amber-related weapon, so the safest interpretation is 21 for the trophy, with a possible bonus blade counted separately. The sources do not establish whether that extra weapon is tied to a particular version or achievement.

Why some guides say 22 swords
PowerPyx ties the Blade Collector trophy to 21 blades, and Gamer Guru’s video is explicitly titled around all 21 sword locations. Nerd’s Chalk also presents a named 21-sword set, while separately mentioning a possible Amber-farming blade. GamingBolt labels its coverage “all 22 Swords.” These accounts are not reconciled by an official list in the available material.
For achievement tracking, mark the 21 names in the table as your required set. If you finish that list and a guide still shows one unaccounted-for weapon, investigate the reported bonus blade rather than assuming the trophy is broken. The evidence does not show whether the extra item is an alternate count, a version-specific weapon, or simply a separate farming reward.
Step-by-step routes that are actually documented
First Moon: Curious Golem exchange
- Travel to the Giant Tree Zone campsite named Cableway – Line 0: Base Station.
- Climb the stairs to the top of the building.
- Cross toward the Line 1 gondola.
- Use the box dropped by the first Corvus boss in the exchange with the Curious Golem.
Nerd’s Chalk identifies this exchange as the First Moon acquisition. The route assumes you have reached the Corvus encounter and retained the dropped box; if the item is absent, review that boss sequence before searching elsewhere.

One guide places the sword with the Retired Gatekeeper at the Nushi’s Lair: Gate Approach campsite in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone. Mobalytics instead describes a position just left of the Subcity 03 campsite. Those descriptions may refer to different stages of the same route, but the available evidence does not prove that they are identical. Check a timestamped video or your map landmarks before treating either wording as an exact turn-by-turn path.
Mechblade (Light): ruined-tower campsite rack
Mobalytics reports that, after speaking with the Keeper Golem at a ruined tower campsite in Ogouchi Buffer Zone, a weapon rack sits to the right of the tent. Nerd’s Chalk only identifies Chapter 1. If the rack is empty, confirm that the Keeper Golem conversation has been completed and that you are at the ruined-tower campsite rather than another Chapter 1 camp.

Thunderwave Sword
The sword is reported as a story reward in the Ancient Civilization Zone. The available GamingBolt extract lists the weapon and its lightning/Shock role but does not supply a complete navigation route. Progress through that story section and check reward notifications before treating the blade as a missed world pickup.
Purity and Bell Sword: late-Chapter 3 Merchant Golem
Both blades are reported as purchases from a Merchant Golem near the end of Chapter 3. A secondary build guide lists Bell Sword at 5,850 Amber; regard that as a reported price, not a guaranteed current value, and check the shop window in your build. The surfaced material does not provide a verified price for Purity.

How to use the sword effects
There is no evidence for one universally best sword. A blade’s value depends on whether its trigger occurs during the encounter you are fighting, how long the effect lasts, and what upgrade rank you have reached. Compare the passive to your build instead of ranking weapons by a single damage number.
Damage and combo options
- Mechblade (Standard) rewards a chain that reaches its third attack.
- Mechblade (Light) supplies a different combo-oriented boost, useful when you favor quicker strings.
- Mechblade (Heavy) is the heavy-attack damage option, although the surfaced route evidence is incomplete.
- Silverlight is described broadly as increasing slash damage.
- Camellia adds lightning-charged swings.
Status and elemental pressure
- First Moon applies Weaken.
- Thunderwave Sword contributes lightning and Shock buildup.
- Hunter’s Sword builds Poison.
- Sunrise Sword contributes Flame and Flame buildup.
- Hazebringer deals Acid damage.

A practical collection plan
- Secure automatic rewards first. Note the starting Mechblades and Purifier Blade, then claim chapter and Golem rewards as they appear.
- Track Chapter 1 separately. First Moon, Cirrus Sword, and Mechblade (Light) have the clearest early-game leads; Mechblade (Heavy) still needs a verified pickup route.
- Check Golem shops before leaving Chapter 3. Merchant inventory is the reported source of Purity and Bell Sword, while Hunter’s Sword is a Golem reward.
- Record zone pickups immediately. Mark Shark Cutter, Silverlight, and any unverified weapon on your map so a later sweep has a defined target.
- Finish chapter rewards before backtracking. Sunrise Sword, Black Blossom, Camellia and Kanzashi are tied to progression windows or endgame collection.
- Use the trophy list, not a guide’s headline, as the final test. Confirm all 21 names in your inventory; only then investigate a claimed 22nd weapon.
Common problems and fixes
A sword is not where a guide says
Check whether the guide is describing a reward, a merchant purchase, or a world pickup. Confirm the chapter, campsite name and required NPC conversation, then compare a video timestamp with your map. Community pages can use different route labels for nearby landmarks.

Advance to the late-Chapter 3 state specified by the guide, speak to the Golem again, and verify that you have enough Amber. The 5,850-Amber Bell Sword figure is a secondary report and may differ in another build.
The trophy has not unlocked
Recount the 21 names rather than relying on a guide’s “22” wording. Include starting weapons and chapter rewards, and inspect your inventory for similarly named Mechblade variants. If every listed blade is present, the remaining discrepancy is likely the separately reported bonus weapon or a version-specific issue; consult current community reports for your platform and patch.
How to verify a blade before upgrading it
- Read the passive trigger, not just the headline effect.
- Check duration, range and rank-specific values in the in-game description.
- Ask whether the trigger occurs reliably against the enemy type you are fighting.
- Compare the role with your existing build: sustain, stagger resistance, status buildup, critical chance, crowd control or direct damage.
- Spend materials only after confirming the sword’s current behavior in your own version.
This approach avoids declaring a “best” sword on incomplete community data and lets the Blade Collector trophy remain a collection goal even when your combat loadout changes.
