From the Defense Outpost Wall camp or fast-travel point, follow the paths toward the elite-enemy room, defeat every enemy there—including the headless elite—and the amber should appear as the clear reward. It is not reported to come from a chest. After collecting it, research Life Incense in Koo’s skill/amber menu and equip it. Its reported benefit is a temporary increase to Emma’s HP; the available guide does not establish an exact amount or duration.
What Life Incense is
Life Incense is a Skill Amber for Koo, not a consumable incense item and not the similarly named Life Censer. Skill Ambers are collected in the world, then researched and equipped through Koo’s skill interface. Life Incense’s stated purpose is defensive: it temporarily gives Emma additional HP.

Life Incense location
The reported encounter is in Act 6, Fuji Frontier Zone, near the Defense Outpost Wall camp and fast-travel point. The reward is tied to an elite combat room. Clearing the room, rather than opening a chest, is what causes the amber to appear according to the guide.

Route from Defense Outpost Wall
Terrain descriptions vary slightly between the guide’s route summaries. One version emphasizes the upper route, rooftops and a shrine; another starts with a drop to a lower path and then climbs toward a dead-end cave room. They point to the same area and encounter. Use the following sequence as a combined navigation checklist rather than expecting every landmark to appear in exactly the same order on your map.
- Fast-travel to Defense Outpost Wall. Begin at the camp or the nearby fast-travel area in the Fuji Frontier Zone.
- Leave the camp and inspect both elevation changes. The reported approaches include dropping to a lower path and turning onto an upward route, or following the camp route toward higher ground. If the first branch does not lead toward the combat area, backtrack and check the alternate elevation.
- Pass the nearby collectibles. The fuller route description uses local collectibles as orientation points. They are landmarks, not the objective, so continue along the route after passing them.
- Use the Keeper Golem and shrine as landmarks. The route reportedly passes a Keeper Golem and then reaches a roof or upper section. A shrine is another orientation point before the final approach.
- Continue toward the enclosed elite room. The destination is described either as an elite-enemy room or a dead-end cave room. Look for the enclosed arena rather than a chest.
- Defeat every enemy in the room. The target includes a headless elite enemy, but the guide says the amber appears after the entire room is cleared. Do not leave after defeating only the headless enemy.
- Collect the Life Incense reward. Check the arena after the clear. The reported reward is the amber itself, not a recipe or a chest item.
If a particular roof, shrine or cave entrance is difficult to identify, use the linked walkthrough’s step images or video alongside the terrain. The route descriptions are not independently verified gameplay footage, so minor differences in approach should not be treated as evidence that the item moved.
How to obtain and equip Life Incense
1. Clear the encounter
Reach the elite room from Defense Outpost Wall and defeat all enemies. The headless elite is the notable opponent in the reported encounter, but the reward condition is the room clear.
2. Confirm that the amber was awarded
After combat ends, search the cleared area and check the pickup notification or your amber inventory. Because the reward is not described as a chest drop, do not spend time searching for a hidden container if the room has been cleared.

3. Open Koo’s skill or amber menu
Life Incense must be researched before it can be used. Navigate to Koo’s skill/amber interface and select the newly collected amber.
4. Research the amber
Choose the research action shown for Life Incense. Collecting the item alone does not put its effect into your active setup.
5. Equip it in the Skill Amber setup
After research, place Life Incense in an available Skill Amber slot. The temporary HP benefit should be expected only while the amber is equipped and its effect is active under the game’s normal Skill Amber rules.
6. Verify the setup before a difficult fight
Return to the equipped-amber list and make sure Life Incense is selected rather than merely researched. If Emma’s survivability does not change, check the slot, the research state and whether another amber has replaced it.

What effect does Life Incense have?
Life Incense is reported to temporarily grant Emma extra HP. The available source does not establish how many hit points are added, how long the bonus lasts, whether it applies automatically or under a specific trigger, or whether the value scales with progression. Those details should not be filled in with the percentage associated with Life Censer; they are different items.
For practical use, treat Life Incense as a short-term survivability option for an Emma-focused setup. Equip and test it in a controlled encounter if you need to understand its in-game timing, but do not assume that a visible maximum-HP increase, a permanent stat change or a fixed percentage is guaranteed by the published description.
Life Incense versus Life Censer and Resurrection Censer
The names are close enough to cause an easy mix-up. The items differ by source, setup and purpose.
| Item | Source | How it is prepared or activated | Reported benefit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Life Incense | Act 6 Skill Amber in Fuji Frontier Zone | Clear the elite room, research it in Koo’s menu, then equip it | Temporarily gives Emma extra HP; amount and duration are not stated |
| Life Censer | Craftable Koo-used item | Craft with one Life Fruit and one Incense Stick, then use it as required | Temporarily increases Emma’s maximum HP by 20% |
| Resurrection Censer | Separate craftable Koo-used item | Uses one Life Fruit and one Incense Stick; activate through its own item system | Allows Koo to resurrect Emma when she falls |
The 20% figure belongs to Life Censer, not Life Incense. Crafting a censer will not substitute for finding the Act 6 amber, and finding Life Incense will not provide the resurrection function associated with Resurrection Censer.

Is Life Incense missable?
The guide calls Life Incense missable and advises returning to Defense Outpost Wall while that location remains available after progressing. It also reports no recipe or chest replacement if the area becomes unavailable. This recovery warning is not corroborated by an official game source, so regard it as a cautious, guide-based possibility rather than a definitive statement about every save state.
If you are still able to access Act 6’s Fuji Frontier Zone, make the Defense Outpost Wall visit before advancing past a point that removes access. If the fast-travel point or route is no longer available, check whether an earlier save can restore access; the reported information does not identify another guaranteed acquisition method.
Troubleshooting the search
The amber is not in a chest
That is consistent with the reported reward condition. Re-enter the elite room, defeat every enemy and inspect the arena after the clear. The guide describes the amber as appearing after the room is cleared, not as a chest reward.
I defeated the headless elite but received nothing
Confirm that no other enemy remains. The encounter is described as a full-room clear, so defeating the named or distinctive elite alone may not satisfy the reward condition.
Best Value
I cannot find the room from the camp
Try both elevation directions described for the approach: a drop to a lower path followed by an uphill turn, and the route toward roofs or higher ground. Use the Keeper Golem, nearby collectibles and shrine as landmarks, then look for the enclosed or dead-end room.
The amber is collected but Emma gains no HP
Open Koo’s skill/amber menu, research Life Incense and equip it. A pickup without research and an equipped slot without research are both incomplete setup states.
I am looking for Life Censer’s 20% bonus
Check the item name. Life Censer is the craftable item associated with the stated 20% temporary maximum-HP increase. Life Incense is the Act 6 Skill Amber whose available description only says that it temporarily grants extra HP.

- Act 6 is available and you can reach the Fuji Frontier Zone.
- Defense Outpost Wall is still accessible as a camp or fast-travel point.
- You have followed the route toward the elite or dead-end cave room.
- The headless elite and every other enemy in the room are defeated.
- You checked the cleared room for the post-combat amber reward.
- Life Incense is researched in Koo’s skill/amber menu.
- Life Incense is equipped in the Skill Amber setup.
- You have not confused it with Life Censer or Resurrection Censer.
What is established—and what is not
The location, encounter type, setup process and broad effect are consistent in the available guide descriptions: Act 6’s Fuji Frontier Zone, Defense Outpost Wall, an elite-room clear, Koo’s research-and-equip menu, and temporary extra HP for Emma. The following details remain unstated: the exact HP value, the duration, a trigger or cooldown, whether the bonus affects current HP immediately, and a confirmed fallback acquisition method after the area becomes inaccessible.
Keeping those limits in mind prevents the most common errors: searching for a chest, expecting a permanent percentage increase, or crafting the wrong similarly named item.
