BeamNG.drive is scheduled to launch on PS5 on October 19, 2026. The physics-focused driving simulator is known for vehicles whose parts deform and respond to impacts in real time. BeamNG says the PS5 version will launch without VR or mod support, while the PlayStation Store listing confirms DualSense vibration and trigger effects.
When does BeamNG.drive come to PS5?
BeamNG announced on September 24, 2026 that BeamNG.drive arrives on PS5 on October 19, 2026. The German PlayStation Store also lists a PS5 version. Store availability and pricing can vary by region; the German listing does not establish details for every market.

BeamNG says PC version 0.40 is expected around the same date. That is the developer’s expectation, not a guaranteed release date.
What kind of driving game is BeamNG.drive?
BeamNG describes the game as a dynamic soft-body physics vehicle simulator. Its official Steam description says, “Every component of a vehicle is simulated in real-time using nodes (mass points) and beams (springs).” In practical terms, the simulation focuses on how vehicles respond to driving and collisions, rather than treating cars as rigid models.

- Free roam: open-ended exploration, with options to alter environmental conditions.
On PC, BeamNG also highlights vehicle adjustments, driving setups, modding support, and an integration that lets users of Automation export designed vehicles into BeamNG.drive. Those PC features should not be assumed to be available in the PS5 version at launch.

What will the PS5 version support at launch?
BeamNG has explicitly said that VR and mods will not be supported at launch. The developer says it aims for feature parity over the long term where possible, but has not confirmed the timing or scope. That leaves open whether or when those features may arrive on PS5.
The German PlayStation Store listing identifies the PS5 version and lists vibration and trigger-effect support for the DualSense controller. It confirms those controller features for that listing, not an additional controller requirement.

Does “biggest driving game ever” mean BeamNG has the most sales?
No official sales ranking or publisher-confirmed sales total is established by the cited sources. The phrase “biggest ever” is headline framing, not a verified all-time record.
Steam showed 211,390 English-language reviews and a 97% positive rating when checked on October 7, 2026. Those are a changing storefront snapshot and a measure of reviewer sentiment, not copies sold. A Polygon report published October 5, 2026 cited third-party estimates of 8–15 million Steam copies; that range is an estimate, not a confirmed sales figure.
