If your Be.Live broadcast keeps disconnecting from YouTube, first try starting a stream directly on your YouTube channel. That separates a YouTube access problem from a Be.Live integration problem. If YouTube works independently, check Be.Live’s authorization; if it is already connected, use YouTube’s timestamped stream-health errors to decide whether to investigate the encoder or your internet connection. Test each change with a private or unlisted broadcast before relying on it for a public event.
1. Check whether YouTube itself can start a live stream
Before changing Be.Live settings, try going live on the affected YouTube channel without using Be.Live. Be.Live recommends this check because an error when starting directly on YouTube points toward channel eligibility or a restriction applied by Google—not necessarily a Be.Live fault. Check the message YouTube displays and resolve any verification, access, or account issue it identifies. Account restrictions and interface details can change, so use the current on-screen message as your guide.
Be.Live’s guidance for YouTube connection issues also suggests disabling suspicious or recently added browser extensions, clearing the browser cache, and allowing cookies. These steps are most relevant when the problem occurs during connection or authorization; they are not established as universal fixes for a stream that drops mid-broadcast. See Be.Live’s YouTube troubleshooting guide.
2. If YouTube works alone, check Be.Live’s YouTube authorization
If you can start a YouTube broadcast independently but Be.Live cannot find the channel or broadcast details, or the integration appears interrupted, reconnect the Google account permission. Be.Live describes removing its access from the Google account’s connected-app permissions, then signing in to Be.Live again and granting access. Only use this reset when the symptoms point to authorization; it is not a general remedy for encoder or network failures.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- In your Google Account, open the connected-app permissions and remove Be.Live’s access.
- Sign in to Be.Live and connect the YouTube account again, granting the requested permission.
- Try a private or unlisted test broadcast before returning to a public event.
Google’s account screens and Be.Live’s interface can change. If you do not see the expected channel or permission, follow the current prompts rather than removing unrelated app access.
3. Read YouTube’s stream-health errors before changing settings
Open YouTube Live Control Room or the Live Dashboard and look at the health indicator and any associated error messages. YouTube displays errors with timestamps, which can help you match a problem to the moment the stream dropped. Its guidance distinguishes critical red errors from moderate yellow ones. Follow the message actually shown; a disconnect alone does not establish that the video format is wrong.

If YouTube specifically reports a format error, its guidance for the described encoder configuration calls for H.264 video and AAC audio. Do not change formats pre-emptively when the dashboard reports a different problem. Consult YouTube’s live streaming error messages and YouTube’s live-stream troubleshooting guidance.
4. Work out whether the encoder or its source is failing
If YouTube shows encoder or stream-health errors, inspect the output in the encoder itself and check the computer’s CPU load. YouTube recommends using the latest encoder version, reviewing dashboard errors, and checking a local recording for source problems. A recording can reveal whether audio or video was already missing or degraded before the stream reached YouTube.

- Output looks or sounds faulty: inspect the source, encoder output, and local recording; update the encoder if an update is available.
- CPU load is high: check whether the encoder is struggling while producing the broadcast and whether that coincides with the error timestamp.
- Encoder output appears healthy: move on to testing the outbound internet connection rather than repeatedly changing encoder settings.
YouTube says that people who sign in to YouTube directly through third-party streaming software without using a stream key should contact that software’s support. For other encoder and stream symptoms, see YouTube’s troubleshooting steps.
5. Check for an unstable outbound connection
Be.Live lists blurry or pixelated video, frozen images, changes in quality, robotic-sounding voice, and audio cutouts as possible signs of network instability. Its help material does not state a specific minimum internet speed for going live, so there is no supported universal Mbps threshold to use as a pass/fail test. Be.Live recommends stable internet and suggests a wired Ethernet connection where practical; a cable may help with instability, but it cannot guarantee that every disconnect will stop.

If the encoder output looks and sounds healthy but the broadcast still fails, YouTube recommends testing the outbound connection. If that test indicates a connection problem, contact your internet provider. Be.Live’s related guidance is available in Evaluating Network Quality and How to Go Live on YouTube.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.6. Verify the fix with a private or unlisted test
After changing one thing, run a test broadcast with its YouTube destination set to private or unlisted so subscribers do not see it. Be.Live explains how to test its studio and use these destination settings in How to Test the Be.Live Studio. Watch the stream health and note any new error timestamps. Changing one likely cause at a time makes it easier to tell whether the adjustment helped.

Quick diagnosis by symptom
| What you observe | Next check |
|---|---|
| YouTube will not start a stream on its own | Check the channel’s live eligibility, verification, or restrictions using YouTube’s displayed error. |
| YouTube works, but Be.Live cannot find the channel or appears disconnected | Check browser cookies, extensions, and cache as applicable; reconnect Be.Live’s Google account permission if authorization appears interrupted. |
| Live Control Room shows a timestamped error | Follow that specific error. Change video or audio format only if YouTube identifies a format problem. |
| Encoder output is poor, or CPU load is high | Inspect encoder output, source quality, CPU load, and a local recording; use the latest encoder version. |
| Encoder output is healthy but the stream still drops | Test the outbound connection; contact your internet provider if it is faulty. |
| Video freezes or pixelates, or audio turns robotic or cuts out | Assess network stability and try wired Ethernet if practical; Be.Live does not specify a minimum speed threshold. |
Or let it run in the cloud
The steps above are for diagnosing a live broadcast sent through Be.Live. StreamNeo is a different option if your goal is to keep uploaded, prerecorded videos playing as a 24/7 YouTube stream; it does not go live from a camera or keep a Be.Live camera broadcast running. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. StreamNeo loops the videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Any quality up to 4K 60fps streams as uploaded at one flat price per slot; it can recover automatically if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month.
