Backblaze在2025年第三季度监测的328,348块数据盘，季度年化故障率（AFR）从第二季度的1.36%升至1.55%；但生命周期AFR约为1.31%，没有显示整个硬盘群体已出现系统性恶化。最醒目的16TB Toshiba异常值主要与固件升级期间的临时移除有关，并不等同于机械损坏。同期独立的Network Stats显示，AI和“neocloud”流量正在改变存储、网络与GPU计算的组合方式，但数据并未证明AI直接推高了硬盘故障率。
先看数字：季度波动明显，长期指标仍稳定
这是一篇对Q3 2025的回顾，而不是最新季度报告。报告覆盖2025年7月1日至9月30日；Backblaze在2025年11月11日发布了Drive Stats。AFR是将观察期故障数按运行盘天数年化的指标，可近似表示为“故障数÷盘天数×365”，但实际结果还受筛选和故障判定规则影响。

10TB Seagate：需要观察老化曲线
7.97%是该型号在Backblaze机群、该季度的年化结果，不是所有10TB Seagate硬盘的长期故障概率。其解释重点是盘龄和过去一年的走势。
14TB Seagate：小样本会放大季度数字
约1,286块盘的群体中，少量新增故障就可能显著改变年化百分比。采购时应同时查看生命周期AFR、连续季度、批次和实际替换原因。
16TB Toshiba：统计故障不等于机械报废
Backblaze与Toshiba进行固件更新时，将部分硬盘从运行系统中取出。部分盘在季度结束前没有回到活跃盘群或工作追踪系统，于是被算法计为失败。这是运维事件映射为统计故障的案例，不能据此断言盘片、磁头或电机大规模损坏。

Backblaze所说的“故障”究竟是什么
Backblaze的判断并不只依赖SMART。硬盘可能因出现在硬件更换工单、作为原始盘被替换、季度结束时未重新进入活跃群体，或序列号被内部追踪系统标记而计为失败；克隆目标盘或临时替换盘不一定计入。由此，Drive Stats更准确地说是运营环境下的故障与退出统计，而不是实验室机械失效率。方法说明见Q3报告。
四个零故障型号，不能直接变成购买榜
- Seagate HMS5C4040BLE640（4TB）
- Seagate ST8000NM000A（8TB）
- Toshiba MG09ACA16TE（16TB）
- Toshiba MG11ACA24TE（24TB）
零故障只表示该型号在特定观察期、样本和部署环境中没有记录故障。新加入的MG11ACA24TE约有2,400块盘、24,148盘天，达到季度门槛，却尚未达到生命周期门槛（超过500块盘且累计超过100,000盘天）。它是“初期表现良好”，不是长期可靠性证明。
高容量盘并没有被Q3数据判定为更差
2025全年报告显示，20TB及以上硬盘增加约8,000块，约占活跃盘群的21%；其中也有零故障型号，24TB Toshiba在Q3没有记录故障。容量越大意味着单盘故障时需要重建和校验的数据更多，但Q3数据不能证明高容量盘整体更不可靠。应比较相同盘龄、相似环境和足够长的观察期。参见Backblaze 2025全年Drive Stats。

AI改变的是数据流和架构，不是已证实的硬盘因果
Drive Stats与Network Stats是不同数据集。Q3 2025 Network Stats显示，与neocloud（GPU、计算或AI云服务商）相关的流量约占Backblaze全球网络进出流量四分之一；流量集中在较少端点，并呈现数据集复制、训练读取、检查点写入和推理访问造成的突发峰值。这反映Backblaze自身客户和网络遥测，不能直接代表全行业，也不能证明AI导致Q3 AFR上升。
存储与GPU计算正在分离
常见组合是对象存储保存训练集、日志、模型和检查点，专用GPU云承担训练或推理，再通过高速网络、S3兼容接口、缓存或编排工具移动数据。这种组合减少单云绑定，却增加跨云延迟、吞吐和计费复杂度。
峰值带宽比平均值更关键
- 评估95百分位和峰值吞吐、并发连接及跨区域延迟；
- 检查重复读取是否需要本地NVMe或缓存；
- 验证GPU不会因对象存储供给不足而空转；
- 把出站和跨区域流量纳入总成本。
可靠性要落到数据保护层
AI系统还需设计RAID或纠删码、重建窗口、scrubbing、静默损坏检测、跨区域复制和检查点版本保留。单盘AFR无法回答对象存储耐久性或完整服务级别问题。

企业采购和架构决策清单
- 查看至少连续四个季度与生命周期AFR，而非只看Q3。
- 核对盘龄、样本量、批次、固件更新、迁移和工单记录。
- 调查温度、气流、振动、电源、机架和Vault是否存在集中性。
- 按容量、功耗、保修、供货和重建时间计算每TB真实成本。
- 为本地HDD配置冗余、备件、校验和重建预算。
- 为GPU云方案实测峰值吞吐、缓存命中率、延迟和跨云费用。
后续数据如何验证Q3异常
Q3之后，Backblaze发布的2025全年报告显示全年AFR回落至1.36%，生命周期AFR约1.30%；Q1 2026报告的季度AFR为1.24%。Toshiba 16TB异常也逐步正常化。后续走势支持将Q3峰值视为一次包含运维因素的波动，而非硬盘可靠性危机。
The Bottom Line
Q3 2025真正重要的结论不是“所有硬盘都变差”：季度AFR确实升至1.55%，但生命周期指标稳定，16TB Toshiba峰值主要源于固件升级和统计口径。对基础设施而言，更深刻的变化来自AI带来的突发、跨云数据流，采购决策必须同时覆盖硬盘年龄、故障定义、重建能力、网络峰值和数据移动成本。
