Why the weight limit needs checking on the exact stroller
The figures are inconsistent, and the sources do not establish why. The English-language Baby Jogger manual states a maximum child weight of 15 kg and a maximum child height of 111.8 cm. CHOICE lists a maximum recommended child weight of 22.6 kg. Do not treat the higher figure as a universal limit or assume the manual’s limit applies to every regional version.
For the particular stroller, check its safety label and the documentation supplied for its market. If those are missing, unreadable, or do not clearly match the model, contact Baby Jogger for guidance before use rather than choosing whichever limit is higher. The manual also describes a combined load of 20.5 kg: 15 kg in the seat, 1 kg in the seat-back pocket, and 4.5 kg in the basket. Those compartment figures do not resolve the child-weight conflict. It is not a jogging stroller
Baby Jogger’s City Mini 4-wheel manual says: “WARNING: This stroller is not suitable for running, jogging, skating or rollerblading.” A front wheel that can be locked does not change that warning or make this model suitable for those activities. Use it only as directed in the documentation for the exact unit.
What to check before buying a used unit
The sources describe specifications and cautions, not the condition or value of any individual stroller. Inspect the unit in person where possible, and do not rely on a listing title alone.
