Azuga combines vehicle GPS tracking, fleet-management software, and optional safety tools in a subscription service. It is worth considering if your priority is location visibility and driver-safety engagement, but the right fit depends on the plan, tracking cadence, add-ons, and contract in your written quote. Azuga’s current listed plans start at $25 per vehicle per month; its SafetyCam is listed separately from $49.99 per month.

What Azuga Fleet Management does

Azuga’s core setup uses a tracker that plugs into a vehicle’s OBD-II port and sends GPS location, diagnostic data, and driving-behavior information to Azuga Fleet. Managers can use a browser dashboard or the Azuga FleetMobile app to review vehicle activity, trip logs, alerts, reports, driver scores, and maintenance information. The product manual describes live fleet views that include vehicle or asset, driver, date and time, and activity details.

Azuga advertises installation in about 20 seconds, while TechRadar describes it as taking under a minute. Those are vendor and reviewer descriptions, not a guarantee for every vehicle or installation. Confirm that the hardware suits each vehicle in your fleet before ordering.

Available capabilities can include geofencing, safety alerts, driver rewards, maintenance workflows, trip tagging, and asset tracking. Which features are included depends on the plan, hardware, and options selected; a feature appearing in Azuga’s product materials does not mean it is included in every subscription.

Azuga plans and listed pricing

Azuga’s pricing page, accessed October 7, 2026, lists the following monthly plan prices. Confirm current rates and inclusions in a fleet-specific quote before committing.

Plan or option Azuga-listed price What the cited materials say
BasicFleet $25 per vehicle per month Entry plan; check the quote for its precise feature set.
SafeFleet $30 per vehicle per month Azuga lists safety features including SpeedSafe, distracted-driving monitoring, and panic alerts.
CompleteFleet $35 per vehicle per month Azuga describes it as adding Azuga Coach, FuelSaver, higher-frequency tracking, custom reports, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager.
SafetyCam Starting at $49.99 per month Azuga’s listed starting price; the page does not establish here whether that amount is per vehicle or how it is bundled.

Azuga also has a separate quote page advertising GPS tracking at $19.99 per month, excluding AI dashcams. Treat that as a quote-flow headline, not a guaranteed all-in rate: the flow asks about fleet size, vehicle type, and selected features. Ask Azuga to confirm eligibility, hardware charges, add-ons, taxes or fees, and contract terms in writing. The $25, $30, and $35 plan figures above are the current listed prices in the cited official pricing page, not a promise that every fleet will receive those exact terms.

TechRadar’s June 3, 2026 review also reported $25/$30/$35 plan pricing and a 36-month standard commitment. It cited a $41.99 monthly SafetyCam price as of Spring 2025; that older camera figure should not be confused with Azuga’s newer $49.99 starting-price listing.

What to check before choosing a plan

Location updates and dispatch

Ask for the update interval available on the specific plan and hardware you are being quoted. CompleteFleet is described as offering higher-frequency tracking, but the cited plan information does not specify a universal interval. Decide whether the offered cadence is adequate for your dispatch and monitoring needs.

Safety tools and video

Compare the safety features in the actual quote: driver scoring or coaching, distraction monitoring, panic alerts, and any rewards program. If you need video evidence, check the camera model, subscription price, event-upload behavior, and whether the camera and GPS tracker are bundled.

Integrations and compliance

List the systems you already use—such as fuel cards, fleet software, or compliance tools—and ask which integrations and requirements are supported on the proposed tier. TechRadar’s review notes that Azuga may be less deep for complex logistics or compliance needs, and that compliance options can add cost. Do not assume an API, ELD capability, or a particular integration is included without written confirmation.

Total cost and contract terms

Azuga describes 36 months as its most popular contract term, and TechRadar reports a 36-month standard commitment. Your offer may differ, so check the term, renewal rules, cancellation conditions, hardware charges, camera costs, and add-ons in the agreement itself. A low advertised monthly rate is not enough to establish the full cost of a fleet deployment.

How Azuga SafetyCam works

Azuga describes SafetyCam Pro and Plus AI dashcams as working with its GPS tracker, Azuga Fleet, and FleetMobile. Its product page lists event-based uploads, SD-card trip video, AI safety functions, and camera hardware specifications. It says the camera does not record while the ignition is off and lists event triggers such as hard braking and sudden acceleration. Verify the model-specific behavior and storage or upload terms for the camera in your quote.

Azuga’s marketing materials make claims about reducing risky driving and accidents. Those are vendor claims, not independently established outcomes for a typical fleet. TechRadar’s product review is an independent evaluation, but it is not a controlled study measuring safety effects. Results depend on fleet conditions, implementation, and driver adoption.

Who Azuga may suit—and where to look closer

TechRadar’s June 2026 review gives Azuga a favorable assessment for straightforward deployment and a focus on driver safety, particularly for small to midsize fleets without a dedicated IT team. It also flags feature gating, long contracts, and less depth for complex logistics or compliance needs. These are the reviewer’s observations, not a guarantee about every fleet’s experience.

  • Potential fit: A fleet seeking GPS visibility and safety engagement, with value in hardware designed for straightforward installation.
  • Investigate further: A business that needs complex dispatch or compliance workflows, substantial contract flexibility, a precise high-frequency location interval, or a simple all-in cost.
  • Best next step: Compare the quoted plan and options against vehicle coverage, update cadence, required integrations, camera needs, support, and total contract cost.

Azuga reports 400,000 devices in market, 3 billion annual miles of data collected, and 300 million trips tracked annually. The cited company page does not state the year for these figures; they are company-reported and not independently audited fleet statistics. They indicate Azuga’s claimed scale, not a measure of service quality or customer results.
