What Autorun Organizer does
Autorun Organizer is a Windows utility for finding and controlling programs that start automatically. Its controls can enable or disable entries, remove entries, process several entries in one operation, and suspend selected launches. A visual diagram shows how startup activity is arranged during the Windows boot process, while search and filtering help locate a particular application or record.
The product page also describes alerts when new startup entries appear, detection of erroneous records, automatic updating, and a rating based on how often users disable or remove particular startup programs. Those ratings are useful clues, not proof that an item is unnecessary on your computer.

ChemTable describes a VirusTotal check that checks startup programs against “more than 60 antivirus programs.” This is a vendor-described feature; it is not a guarantee that the installer is safe, that every detection is correct, or that an undetected file is harmless. Investigate the file path, publisher and purpose before taking action.
Startup management can reduce background load and shorten the number of programs competing for resources after sign-in, but the available official material does not establish a universal boot-time improvement percentage. Results depend on the computer, Windows configuration and the programs installed.
Current version and documented changes

Compatibility and requirements
The publisher lists the following requirements for the current product listing:

These are the vendor’s stated requirements, not an independent compatibility test. Keep Windows updated and download the installer only from the official page or a route you can verify as belonging to ChemTable.
How to download and install Autorun Organizer
- Open the official product page. Go to ChemTable’s Autorun Organizer page. Confirm that the page identifies the product and lists the release you intend to install.
- Choose the installation pack. Select the page’s installation-pack download link. Save the installer to a folder you can find, such as Downloads. Do not use a repackaged installer from an unverified download site.
- Check the downloaded file before running it. Confirm that the filename and publisher information match ChemTable’s product. The official page route is documented, but an independent scan and digital-signature verification were not established here; use your own security software and Windows’ file-properties information as an additional check.
- Start setup with the required permission. Double-click the installer and approve the User Account Control prompt only if the publisher and file are what you expect. If your account is not an administrator, use an administrator account or obtain authorization from the device owner.
- Review setup choices. Read each installer screen, including destination and shortcut options. Decline any optional component you do not recognize. Finish installation, then launch Autorun Organizer from the Start menu or its shortcut.
- Restart only when necessary. The utility can inspect startup configuration without requiring you to reboot immediately. If setup or a later change requests a restart, save work first and restart at a convenient time.
Inspect an entry before changing it
A startup record can belong to Windows, a hardware driver, a security product, a backup client, a password manager or an application you rely on. A familiar-looking name is not enough to identify the file. Select an entry and examine its command, location, publisher and any description available in the interface.
- Check whether the path points to a normal installation directory or an unexpected temporary or user-profile location.
- Search the exact filename and publisher when the description is unclear; avoid relying on a display name alone.
- Consider whether the program must run at sign-in, can be opened manually, or is required for a device feature.
- Use the application’s VirusTotal option as one signal. A multi-engine result can contain false positives, while a clean result does not prove that the file is safe.
- Record the original setting before changing it. A screenshot or note of the entry name and command makes recovery easier.
Do not disable several unknown entries simultaneously. One-at-a-time changes make it possible to identify which change caused a missing tray tool, hardware feature or sign-in problem.

Managing startup items in Autorun Organizer
Disable versus remove
Disabling is the safer first test: the entry remains available in the configuration but should not launch automatically. If the associated program stops working correctly, you can re-enable it. Removing deletes the startup configuration entry and is more permanent, so reserve it for records you have identified as obsolete or unwanted. Removing a startup entry does not necessarily uninstall the underlying application.
Delay a launch
When a program is useful after sign-in but does not need to start immediately, use a delay instead of disabling it. Version 7.02 adds sorting by delay time, making it easier to review entries according to when they are scheduled to launch. Delaying too many programs can merely move the load later, so keep essential security and hardware services outside an aggressive delay plan.
Batch actions
Batch processing is useful when you have already identified a group of entries, such as several optional updaters. Select only records with a known purpose, apply the same action, and then test Windows sign-in and the applications involved. If an entry is uncertain, handle it separately rather than including it in a bulk operation.

The visual boot-time diagram helps show the order and timing of startup activity. Use it to find clusters of launches rather than treating a long bar as proof that a program should be deleted. The product’s ratings reflect how often users disable or remove entries; they describe user behavior, not a security verdict or a requirement for your installation.

New-entry alerts and erroneous records
Alerts can draw attention when an installer or update adds a startup record. First decide whether you initiated the change. For an unexpected addition, inspect the command and file location, run your normal security checks, and investigate the owning software before disabling it. A record flagged as erroneous may be stale or malformed, but verify that it is not a legitimate scheduled task or component with an unusual path.
Undo and backups
The version history documents an Undo Changes Center for restoring backups and describes earlier smart-disable behavior. The exact controls can change between releases, so confirm what the installed interface offers before relying on reversal. Preserve a Windows restore point or another backup when practical, especially before removing entries, and keep your notes of each modification.
A cautious workflow for startup cleanup
- Establish a baseline. Let Windows start normally and note any applications or hardware features that must be available immediately.
- Open Autorun Organizer with administrator rights. Review the complete list rather than changing the first item that appears.
- Classify entries. Separate essential system, driver and security items from optional applications and unknown records.
- Investigate unknowns. Read the command and path, check the publisher, and use the VirusTotal feature or your security software as supporting evidence.
- Make one reversible change. Disable or delay one known-optional item; do not remove it yet.
- Restart and test. Check sign-in, networking, audio, graphics, input devices, security notifications and the application associated with the changed entry.
- Keep, reverse or proceed. Re-enable the item if a required function breaks. If the system remains normal, continue with the next documented item.
Autorun Organizer and Microsoft Sysinternals Autoruns
Microsoft’s free Sysinternals Autoruns is a useful alternative when you need a broader inventory of automatic-start locations or command-line output. Its documentation, last updated June 17, 2026, covers registry and file-system locations including logon entries, Explorer add-ons, services, scheduled tasks, drivers and other categories. Choose Autorun Organizer when a guided graphical workflow, delay scheduling and batch controls fit your needs. Troubleshooting common problems
The installer will not run
Confirm that the download completed, that Windows recognizes the file as coming from the expected publisher, and that you have administrator rights. Re-download from the official ChemTable page if the file is incomplete. If security software blocks it, review the detection details rather than disabling protection blindly.
An entry returns after you disable it
An updater, scheduled task or companion service may recreate the startup record. Identify the parent application and inspect its own update or startup settings. Do not repeatedly delete the record without finding the process that is restoring it.
A needed feature stopped working
Re-enable the most recently changed entry and restart Windows. Test again before making another change. If several entries were changed together, restore them as a group or use the available undo or backup function, then repeat the cleanup one item at a time.

Open the application manually to determine whether only automatic launch was affected. If it works, decide whether you actually need it at sign-in; if not, leave the startup entry disabled. If it fails to open, re-enable the entry and check the application’s installation and service dependencies.
You cannot identify a file
Copy the exact path and filename, inspect its digital-signature information where available, and compare the location with the software’s documented installation directory. Treat an unexpected executable in a temporary folder or a misspelled publisher as a reason for further security investigation, not as an automatic deletion instruction.
