Austin Smotherman moved to 17-under par with a 9-under 62 on Friday and held a one-shot lead after two rounds of the 2026 Bank of Utah Championship. Cam Davis was at 5-under, one stroke below the leaderboard’s displayed cut line at the time of the update; the tournament was still in progress, so that was not a confirmed missed cut.
Smotherman leads by one after a 62
Smotherman followed his opening-round 63 with a 62 at Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah, reaching 17-under through 36 holes. He had 125 strokes across the two rounds, according to the official PGA TOUR leaderboard.

“It was just very steady — a lot of greens, a lot of fairways, a couple tight wedges,” Smotherman said, according to AAP. “It’s what you’ve got to do to shoot 9 under.”
