The ATK Blazing Sky F1 V3 is a very light, compact wireless gaming mouse with an advertised maximum polling rate of 8,000 Hz. Its two versions are not identical: the Ultimate+ has a larger battery and different switches and MCU, while the Extreme+ is listed one gram lighter. It is most compelling if you want a small symmetrical shape and low weight; the high polling ceiling is an option, not a reason by itself to buy it.
What you get in the F1 V3 series
ATK lists the F1 V3 at 118.2 × 62.4 × 38.8 mm, with a PAW3955 Master sensor, wired and 2.4 GHz connections, and support for up to 8,000 Hz polling in both modes. The listed DPI range is 10–50,000. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. The advertised button latency is 0.174 ms for Ultimate+ and 0.163 ms for Extreme+; ATK’s figures have not been independently verified in the sources available.

Specifications in this table are from ATK’s 2026 product listing. The runtime values are manufacturer claims at 1,000 Hz, not measured results; settings and use affect battery life. The nominal weight difference is just one gram, and the listed tolerances overlap, so it should not outweigh hand fit or click preference. The listed MCU and switch differences identify distinct configurations, but available evidence does not establish that one MCU or click implementation performs better.

If longer advertised runtime and battery capacity are your priority, Ultimate+ is the straightforward choice on paper. Extreme+ is the slightly lighter listed option, but its battery is smaller and its claimed 1,000 Hz runtime is much shorter. Either way, 8,000 Hz operation may use more power than the conditions behind those 1,000 Hz claims.
Shape, grip and weight
The mouse has a compact, symmetrical shell. ATK positions it for small-to-medium hands and claw or palm grip. In his August 26, 2026 review, Steve Emms of LinuxLinks described a modest rear hump and found the shape particularly suited to claw grip, while acknowledging that fit is personal. He also reported little flex or creaking in normal use, and found the matte finish and supplied textured pads helpful for grip. Those are one reviewer’s impressions, not durability testing.

At roughly 36–37 g as listed by ATK, it belongs to the ultra-light end of the category. Low weight can make quick movements feel less effortful, but it does not guarantee a good fit. Consider hand size, grip style, shell height and where the mouse feels balanced in your hand. The available hands-on evidence does not establish whether the weight is front- or rear-biased, so buyers concerned about balance should avoid treating the listed weight as an answer to that question.
What 8,000 Hz polling means in practice
Polling rate is how often the mouse reports its position to the computer. A higher rate can reduce the interval between reports, which may matter most with a high-refresh display and latency-sensitive games. It does not automatically make ordinary desktop use feel better. Emms wrote that “the benefit of 8,000Hz is most apparent with very high refresh rate displays and games where input latency matters,” and that “for normal desktop use the difference over 1,000Hz is much less noticeable.” He preferred 1,000 or 2,000 Hz for everyday use, noting that higher polling can increase CPU activity and reduce battery life.

There is also a conflicting individual report: an r/MouseReview user described instability from 4,000 Hz upward on their setup, including skips and a laggy feel at 8,000 Hz. That report is useful as a caution, not evidence of a general defect or failure rate. If you want to use the top polling modes, check stability on your own computer and in your own games rather than assuming the advertised maximum will be trouble-free.
Linux support and configuration
Emms reports that basic wired and 2.4 GHz operation worked on Linux as a standard USB HID mouse, without a dedicated Linux driver. He also used ATK HUB through a browser after configuring hidraw permissions. This is a positive hands-on report from one reviewer; it does not establish compatibility across every Linux distribution or system setup.

Configuration matters because, as Emms notes, there is no dedicated DPI switch on the base. Sensitivity changes therefore require ATK HUB or its configuration options. The review also reports accurate tracking in use, but this is not a controlled comparison against other mice.
Clicks, sleep and battery reports
Click feel is a preference, and the two versions use different optical switches. Emms found the shell reassuringly rigid, while the r/MouseReview user described the main clicks as stiff and heavy-feeling. These are subjective reports from different users, not a consensus or a direct comparison of Ultimate+ and Extreme+ switches.

The same individual user reported a sleep/wake concern and observed roughly 1–2% battery use per hour with their stated 2,000 Hz configuration and other performance settings. That figure is a single setup-specific observation, not a representative battery test, and should not be compared directly with ATK’s 1,000 Hz runtime claims.
Price and who should consider it
Prices are volatile. ATK’s product listing accessed October 7, 2026 showed Ultimate+ at $69.98 USD; LinuxLinks’ August 26, 2026 review said it was then listed at $64.98 on ATK’s website. These are dated observations from different sources, not a stable street price or a verified Amazon price. Check the current listing, shipping and warranty terms for your region before buying.
- Consider it if: you want a very light, compact symmetrical mouse, particularly for claw grip, and value the option of high polling rates.
- Think carefully if: your hands are larger, you need a dedicated DPI button, or you are sensitive to click stiffness and cannot try the switches first.
- Choose between versions by: weighing Ultimate+’s larger battery and longer claimed 1,000 Hz runtime against Extreme+’s one-gram-lower nominal weight and different switch and MCU configuration.
There is no controlled side-by-side testing here against competing mice, so the evidence supports a fit-and-feature decision rather than a claim that the F1 V3 is faster or better than alternatives. Compare shape, actual click feel, runtime at your intended polling rate, stability on your system, software access and total regional cost.
