No: ASUS’s announced 2026 Vivobook 16 is the M1607GA, and its launch specifications do not match the Ryzen 7 H 260, 144Hz display, and 16GB LPDDR5 combination in the headline. ASUS lists Ryzen 7 H 260 and 144Hz display options for a different product, the Vivobook S16 M3607HA; its listed memory configurations are DDR5, not LPDDR5.
Two different ASUS models are being conflated
ASUS’s January 7, 2026 announcement names the Vivobook 16 M1607GA as part of its 2026 Vivobook lineup. In the same announcement, ASUS specifies up to Ryzen AI 7 445 for that model—not Ryzen 7 H 260. The latter processor appears in ASUS’s specifications for the separate Vivobook S16 M3607HA family.

That distinction matters when checking a store listing: “Vivobook 16” and “Vivobook S16” are not interchangeable model names. The title’s phrase “Ryzen Edition 2026” is not established as ASUS’s official product name in the announcement.

What ASUS specifies for the 2026 Vivobook 16 M1607GA
For the announced M1607GA, ASUS lists a 16-inch WUXGA screen with a 1920 × 1200 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It describes the system as configurable with up to a Ryzen AI 7 445 processor, up to 32GB of DDR5 memory, and up to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. These are manufacturer configuration ceilings, not a guarantee that every regional version includes those maximums.
In particular, the 60Hz panel listed for the M1607GA launch configuration is not the 144Hz display cited in the headline. ASUS’s announcement does not identify the M1607GA as a Ryzen 7 H 260 model.
Where the Ryzen 7 H 260 and 144Hz screen appear
ASUS’s Vivobook S16 M3607 specification table lists Ryzen 7 H 260 for the M3607HA family and shows 16-inch 144Hz display options. Those options include 2.5K IPS and WUXGA IPS variants. The model family table does not establish that every processor, resolution, brightness, and color-gamut specification belongs to the same shipped SKU, so check the full regional model code before treating them as a single configuration.
AMD’s specification page identifies the Ryzen 7 260 as an 8-core processor and gives its launch date as February 18, 2025. That processor information does not make it the same chip as the Ryzen AI 7 445 ASUS lists for the M1607GA, nor does it verify which memory is installed in a laptop. AMD Ryzen 7 260 specifications.

Is the M3607HA equipped with 16GB LPDDR5?
ASUS’s listed M3607HA configurations use DDR5. Depending on the entry, the table shows 16GB DDR5 onboard and/or 16GB DDR5 SO-DIMM configurations, with a maximum total system memory of 32GB where specified. It does not list LPDDR5 for the M3607HA entries. Do not rely on a generic “16GB LPDDR5” claim unless the seller identifies a specific regional SKU and ASUS documentation for that SKU confirms it.
AMD lists both DDR5 and LPDDR5X among memory types supported by the Ryzen 7 260. That is a processor capability, not evidence that ASUS installs either type in a particular M3607HA configuration. Laptop makers choose the memory implementation for each product.
What to verify before buying either model
ASUS says product availability and specifications can differ by country and change without notice. Before comparing prices or placing an order, use the exact product code on the regional listing rather than relying on a short retailer title.
- Match the model family and code. Confirm whether the listing is for Vivobook 16 M1607GA or Vivobook S16 M3607HA.
- Check the full processor name. Verify whether it says Ryzen AI 7 445 or Ryzen 7 H 260; they are not the same processor designation.
- Confirm the exact screen. Look for the resolution, panel type, and refresh rate on the specific SKU, rather than assuming that every M3607HA combines the same 144Hz option with the same resolution.
- Read the memory configuration. Confirm DDR5 versus another memory type and whether capacity is onboard, in a SO-DIMM slot, or split between them.
- Check storage and local availability. ASUS lists up to 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD for the M1607GA announcement, but that maximum does not establish the drive size, price, or stock of a particular regional listing.
The M3607 family’s listed connections include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports with display and power-delivery support, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 TMDS, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. ASUS also lists one M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot and one DDR5 SO-DIMM slot on applicable M3607HA variants. These details are family-level specifications; confirm the exact SKU and local configuration before relying on them.
