Die ASUS ROG Strix LC IV 360 ARGB LCD kombiniert einen 360-mm-Radiator mit einem großen 5,08-Zoll-Display und drei vormontierten Lüftern. Im Test von Hardwareluxx gehörte ihre Kühlleistung zu den stärkeren der getesteten 360-mm-Modelle. Ihre wichtigsten Einschränkungen: Die Lüfter lassen sich laut Test nicht besonders weit herunterregeln, und der optionale kabellose Anschluss funktioniert nur mit ausgewählten ASUS-Mainboards. Herkömmlich verkabelt lässt sich der Kühler ebenfalls betreiben.
Was die LC IV 360 ARGB LCD auszeichnet
Es handelt sich um eine geschlossene AIO-CPU-Wasserkühlung mit 360-mm-Aluminiumradiator. ASUS gibt für den Radiator 397 × 120 × 27 mm an; die drei 120-mm-Lüfter sitzen als vormontierte Einheit darauf. Der Wasserblock misst 123,2 × 99 × 91,7 mm und besitzt eine Kupfer-Kühlplatte. Die ummantelten Gummischläuche sind 400 mm lang. ASUS’ technische Daten können je nach Markt geändert werden.

Das auffälligste Merkmal ist das 5,08-Zoll-Farb-IPS-LCD. ASUS nennt außerdem Aura-Sync-Unterstützung. Für die Anzeige und deren Einrichtung ist ASUS InfoHub relevant; Hardwareluxx führt die Software für die Einrichtung des Displays im verkabelten Betrieb als erforderlich auf.

Passt der Kühler zu CPU, Mainboard und Gehäuse?
Unterstützte Sockel
ASUS führt AMD AM4 und AM5 sowie Intel LGA 1700 und LGA 1851 als unterstützte Sockel auf. Dazu zählt grundsätzlich auch der AM5-Sockel des Ryzen 9 9950X: Gamezoom testete genau diese CPU mit dem Kühler. Die Sockelkompatibilität allein sagt jedoch nichts darüber aus, ob der Radiator in ein bestimmtes Gehäuse passt.

Radiator- und Lüfterfreiraum
Prüfen Sie vor dem Kauf die Gehäusespezifikationen für einen 360-mm-Radiator und berücksichtigen Sie neben den ASUS-Maßen von 397 × 120 × 27 mm auch die Dicke der montierten Lüfter. Vergleichen Sie den vorgesehenen Montageplatz außerdem mit Mainboard, RAM und anderen Bauteilen; die verfügbaren Freiräume und Einbaupositionen unterscheiden sich von Gehäuse zu Gehäuse. Die 400-mm-Schläuche können ebenfalls für die geplante Position des Radiators relevant sein.
Q-Connector oder herkömmliche Verkabelung?
Der ASUS AIO Q-Connector ermöglicht den optionalen Anschluss ohne die üblichen separaten Verbindungen für Lüfter, Beleuchtung und USB. Diese Option ist an ausgewählte ASUS-Mainboards gebunden; ein ASUS-Mainboard allein garantiert also nicht, dass der Anschluss vorhanden ist. Hardwareluxx beschreibt die Auswahl kompatibler Boards als noch klein.

Ein kompatibler Q-Connector ist keine Voraussetzung für den Kühlerbetrieb. ASUS erklärt, dass sich die Kühler-Serie auch ohne unterstützten Q-Connector nach der mitgelieferten Anleitung installieren lässt. Im Test nennt Hardwareluxx dafür PWM-, A-RGB- und USB-2.0-Verbindungen. Im verkabelten Betrieb wird InfoHub für die Displayeinrichtung benötigt. Prüfen Sie vor dem Einbau die Anleitung und die Anschlüsse Ihres konkreten Mainboards.

Wie gut kühlt die LC IV?
Hardwareluxx ordnete die LC IV in seinem Test vom 27. September 2026 als eines der leistungsstärkeren 360-mm-Modelle unter den dort getesteten Kühlern ein. Das ist eine Aussage im Rahmen dieses Testfelds und keine Garantie für eine bestimmte Temperatur in jedem PC.

Gamezoom testete den Kühler am 30. Juli 2026 mit einem Ryzen 9 9950X auf einem ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Dark Hero bei rund 21 °C Raumtemperatur. Im CPU-Last-Test lagen die berichteten Temperaturen je nach Lüfterstufe zwischen 59 und 73 °C. Diese Ergebnisse gelten für Gamezooms System und Testbedingungen; sie lassen sich nicht als erwartbare Temperatur für andere Prozessoren, Gehäuse, Raumtemperaturen oder Lüfterkurven übertragen. Die Werte von Gamezoom und Hardwareluxx stammen zudem aus unterschiedlichen Testaufbauten und sollten nicht direkt miteinander verrechnet werden.
Wie laut sind die Lüfter?
Die Einschätzung hängt stark von der Drehzahl ab. Hardwareluxx kritisierte die relativ hohe Mindestdrehzahl und das deutlich hörbare Geräusch bei maximaler Drehzahl. Wer eine besonders leise Kühlung sucht, sollte diesen Punkt bei der Kaufentscheidung berücksichtigen.

Gamezoom maß in seinem Testaufbau über die getesteten Lüfterstufen 0,18 bis 0,45 Sone und empfahl eine angepasste PWM-Lüfterkurve. Das sind Messwerte aus diesem Testsystem, keine garantierten Lautstärkeangaben für jeden Einbau. ASUS nennt als Hersteller-Spezifikationen 800–2.500 U/min ±10 % und 35,78 dB(A). Diese Angabe ist nicht unmittelbar mit den Sone-Messungen von Gamezoom vergleichbar: Sie stammt vom Hersteller und nicht aus derselben unabhängigen Messung.

Was gehört zur Kaufentscheidung?
- Display und Steuerung: Das große LCD ist ein zentrales Ausstattungsmerkmal. Für die Anzeige im verkabelten Betrieb ist InfoHub relevant.
- Kabelkonzept: Der Q-Connector kann den Anschluss vereinfachen, setzt aber ein ausgewähltes kompatibles ASUS-Mainboard voraus. Ohne ihn ist die herkömmliche Verkabelung möglich.
- Lautstärke: Die hohe Mindestdrehzahl und das Geräusch bei maximaler Drehzahl sind laut Hardwareluxx mögliche Nachteile. Eine angepasste PWM-Kurve kann den Betrieb beeinflussen, beseitigt aber nicht automatisch jeden Lautstärkeeinwand.
- Wärmeleitpaste: ASUS nennt voraufgetragene Wärmeleitpaste. Hardwareluxx merkt an, dass keine Ersatz-Wärmeleitpaste beiliegt.
- Garantie: ASUS nennt sechs Jahre. Maßgeblich sind die Garantiebedingungen des jeweiligen Markts.
- Exaktes Modell: Achten Sie darauf, dass es sich um die LC IV 360 ARGB LCD handelt. Die verwandte SLC-IV-Variante hat laut Hardwareluxx kürzere Schläuche.
Hardwareluxx nannte am 27. September 2026 einen damaligen Einstiegspreis von rund 197 Euro; auf der Fazitseite wurden zu diesem Zeitpunkt Angebote ab etwa 200,80 Euro angezeigt. Das sind historische Momentaufnahmen, keine aktuellen Preis- oder Verfügbarkeitsangaben. ASUS weist zudem auf marktabhängige Verfügbarkeit hin.
Fazit
Die LC IV 360 ARGB LCD ist eine leistungsstarke 360-mm-AIO mit ungewöhnlich großem Display, vormontierter Lüftereinheit und optionalem Q-Connector. Sie eignet sich besonders für Käufer, die diese Ausstattung gezielt suchen und den Platz für den Radiator geprüft haben. Wer sehr leisen Betrieb priorisiert oder den Q-Connector nutzen möchte, sollte die Lüftereigenschaften beziehungsweise die konkrete Mainboard-Kompatibilität vor dem Kauf besonders genau abwägen.
