Capacity and rack layout
The specification lists three baskets, a cutlery Flexi Tray, an adjustable upper basket and an internal LED light. Place-setting capacity is a standardized way to describe load size; it does not tell you how easily your own plates, pots or tall glasses will fit. If considering a used machine, inspect the actual racks and adjust the upper basket to check clearance for the items you use most.
Energy, water and noise figures
CHOICE lists 3.5 energy stars and five water stars for this model. Those are listing details, not a substitute for independent wash, drying or energy-test results. The 295 kWh annual energy estimate and 12.2 L water figure come from ASKO’s product sheet, so treat them as manufacturer claims rather than measured household consumption.

The listed 42 dB(A) noise rating can help when comparing specifications, but it does not establish how loud a particular older or poorly installed unit will sound in a kitchen.
Are independent test results or reliability data available?
CHOICE’s public page marks its expert rating and test scores as member-only. No public wash, drying, energy-test or reliability result is available in the cited listing, so there is not enough public evidence here to call the DBI654IBS a top performer or to rank its reliability.

These are self-selected anecdotes: they can suggest points to inspect, but they do not establish how often faults occur, the typical repair cost or the expected lifespan. Read the owner reports as individual experiences, not as a representative failure record.
What to inspect before buying a used or remaining-stock unit
Check the particular appliance, its paperwork and the proposed installation. Do not assume that a unit is sound simply because the model’s specifications look suitable.

- Service history: Request invoices or other records of repairs and maintenance. A documented repair is more useful than guessing from the model’s age or from online anecdotes.

- Sale terms: For remaining stock, confirm in writing the warranty applying to that exact sale. CHOICE lists a two-year warranty, but that listing does not establish the coverage on a particular used or discounted unit.
- Service and parts: Ask local service providers whether they can support this exact model and check compatible parts by the appliance’s article and serial numbers. Current compatible part numbers and stock have not been confirmed.

They advise scraping off large food particles rather than rinsing dishes under running water, and checking that the spray arms can rotate freely. How to compare it with another dishwasher
Compare the DBI654IBS with an alternative only when you have a real current offer and clear terms for both units. Focus on:
- Capacity and whether the rack layout suits your dishes;
- installation dimensions and clearances;
- published noise, energy and water figures, noting whether they are manufacturer claims or independent measurements;
