Travel + Leisure observed an Amazon deal at $85 for an ARZOPA 16.1-inch listing, but that is a changing promotional price, not a permanent MSRP. The important distinction is that ARZOPA sells several 16-inch-class displays: the inexpensive Z1FC is a 144Hz 1080p model, while the Z3FC and Z1RC target buyers who want substantially more resolution or workspace.
What you get for the $85 starting price
The observed $85 Amazon price applies to a 16.1-inch ARZOPA listing reported by Travel + Leisure. Amazon pricing, coupons, sellers and stock can change quickly, so verify the exact model and return terms at checkout. The cheapest option is generally a Full HD display rather than a high-resolution productivity panel.

For perspective, PCWorld reported the Z1FC at a $97 sale price reduced from $130. Those figures describe a particular sale, not a guaranteed ongoing price. Check whether the listing is actually for the Z1FC before assuming that any 16-inch ARZOPA page has the same specifications.

Which model fits your work?
Choose the Z1FC for the lowest-cost, fastest-moving option
The Z1FC combines a 16.1-inch 1080p image with a 144Hz refresh rate, USB-C and Mini HDMI. It is the sensible budget choice when your priority is an inexpensive second screen for documents, timelines or console and PC games. Full HD keeps the host device’s graphics workload lower than QHD, but text and fine interface elements will not look as detailed as they do on the higher-resolution models.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose the Z3FC for QHD detail and high refresh
The Z3FC uses a 2560×1440 IPS panel. Tom’s Hardware lists up to 180Hz through USB-C, 144Hz through HDMI, claimed brightness of 400 nits and a 1.71-pound weight. The connection matters: the 180Hz headline is a USB-C figure, so an HDMI setup is limited to 144Hz. It is the stronger choice for a laptop that can output QHD and for users who want sharper text plus smoother motion.
Choose the Z1RC for a taller productivity canvas
The Z1RC’s 2560×1600 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio provide more vertical pixels than a conventional 16:9 Full HD portable monitor. ServeTheHome reported a purchase price of approximately $109. That extra height is useful for writing, coding, spreadsheets and web pages where reducing scrolling matters more than maximum gaming refresh rate.

Can one USB-C cable run the monitor?
Sometimes. A one-cable setup requires a full-function USB-C port on the laptop, tablet, handheld or phone—one that supports video output, not merely charging or data. The host must also supply enough power for the display. If either condition is missing, the monitor may show no picture, repeatedly disconnect or remain dim.
- Check the host device’s specifications for USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode or another explicit video-output capability.
- Use a USB-C cable rated for video and adequate power; a charge-only cable will not carry the image.
- Connect the cable to the monitor’s USB-C video/power input and select the matching input source.
- If the host cannot provide video over USB-C, connect Mini HDMI or HDMI for the picture and a separate USB-C power cable.
HDMI is often the dependable fallback, but it normally means two cables and an available power source. On the Z3FC specifically, use USB-C when you need up to 180Hz; HDMI tops out at 144Hz.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.

What else should travel buyers check?
- Power: A portable monitor is not automatically self-powered. Confirm whether your laptop can provide sufficient USB-C power or pack a suitable charger or power bank.
- Cables: Verify that the box includes the cable types your device needs. Port shapes alone do not guarantee video compatibility.
- Protection: A sleeve is valuable in a backpack. Confirm the included accessories for the exact listing rather than assuming every model has the same bundle.
- Ergonomics: Position the screen at a comfortable height and angle; a lightweight panel is easy to carry but still needs a stable support surface.
- Returns: Check the seller, return window and dead-pixel policy because marketplace listings can change independently of the model name.
How portable are they in practice?
TechRadar measured one 16-inch ARZOPA display at 1.72 pounds, 14.41 × 8.98 × 0.37 inches, with claimed 400-nit brightness and 107% sRGB coverage. Its reviewer wrote, “I wrote this entire review using this second screen,” and said, “You can carry this one-handed without any problems at all.” Those observations illustrate the practical appeal: the display adds workspace while remaining light enough for routine commuting or travel.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Are ARZOPA portable monitors worth it?
They are worthwhile when the benefit of a second screen outweighs the compromises of portable hardware: you must manage cables, power and a smaller stand, and the least expensive models use 1080p panels. The Z1FC offers the lowest-cost route to 144Hz. The Z3FC adds QHD sharpness and up to 180Hz over USB-C, while the Z1RC favors a taller 16:10 workspace. Match the model to your host’s video and power capabilities, then judge the current listing—not an old sale price—before buying.
