What the PA1622HCHA is—and what its capacity figures mean
Arlec describes the PA1622HCHA as a Grid Connect Smart Reverse Cycle Portable Air Conditioner. Reverse cycle means it provides both cooling and heating; it is not a standalone space heater. Arlec publishes the following capacity figures:

CHOICE lists the capacities as 4.7 kW for cooling and 3.283 kW for heating. These small differences reflect the figures as each source presents them. Neither source’s accessible information establishes independently measured real-world performance or a recommended room size. Arlec’s product specifications and CHOICE’s listing are the basis for these numbers.
How it handles smart control and installation
Grid Connect and voice assistants
Arlec says the unit can be controlled through the Grid Connect app over home Wi-Fi or mobile internet, including scheduling and automation. Arlec also says most Grid Connect products work with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa; that qualification does not establish compatibility for every voice-control setup. The app and connectivity descriptions are manufacturer claims, not independent assessments of security or reliability.

Exhaust and window kit
The package information says a window kit is included. Like other portable air conditioners, the unit needs an exhaust arrangement to vent warm air; check the manual and your window before installation. The available model-specific information does not establish compatibility with replacement kits or every window style, so verify measurements and fit rather than assuming a generic kit will work. Arlec’s product page links to the instruction manual and support.
What the specifications say about noise, airflow and power
Arlec lists maximum air movement of 450 m³/h and noise of less than 65 dB. The manufacturer’s accessible specification does not state the conditions for the noise figure, so it should not be treated as a comparable independent measurement. The electrical listing is 220–240 V~, 50 Hz, and 1712 W. That wattage alone cannot tell you what the unit will add to an electricity bill: actual cost depends on operating time, conditions, settings and your electricity tariff.

What is known about real-world performance
The public CHOICE listing identifies the model and gives some specifications, but its expert rating and test results are member-only. The accessible page does not show the cooling score, energy-efficiency score, high-fan noise result, running costs or recommended room size. Without those results or independent testing presented here, there is no basis to give a measured performance verdict or claim a typical room coverage.

Availability and details to check before buying used
CHOICE labels the PA1622HCHA a discontinued model. That does not prove that every seller has run out of stock, but availability should be confirmed directly; CHOICE’s displayed $699 is a listing figure, not a verified current offer.
CHOICE lists the unit at 76 × 47 × 35 cm and 37 kg, and identifies a remote control. If considering a second-hand example, check that the unit, remote and window-kit parts are present, inspect the exhaust arrangement, and ask to see the unit operate in both modes. For a meaningful comparison with another portable air conditioner, look for independently tested cooling and energy performance, noise measured under comparable conditions, a room-size recommendation, condensate handling, kit fit, warranty and current price. Several of those results are not visible in the accessible CHOICE listing.
