What can it do?
The operating instructions describe microwave cooking, grill, combined microwave-and-grill cooking, manual and automatic defrost, auto-cook, Jet Start and an auto-clean cycle. The rack supplied for grill and combination functions is identified in the manual as a dedicated accessory.
- For microwave cooking, use cookware identified as microwave-safe.
- For grilling, use heat-resistant cookware and the dedicated wire rack where the instructions call for it. Do not use plastic utensils for grilling.
- The auto-clean cycle uses steam to help loosen residue; it is not a high-heat, self-cleaning oven cycle. The manual directs users to put 200 ml of water in a container on the cavity bottom, run the cycle, wait 3–5 minutes before opening, then remove the container and wipe the interior with a soft cloth or paper towel and mild detergent.
Will it fit your kitchen?
Allow for ventilation as well as the appliance’s stated dimensions. The manual requires at least 30 cm of clearance above the microwave and says not to place it in a cabinet. It also says the appliance is not intended for a working surface lower than 850 mm above the floor. Check the position of overhead cupboards, shelving and the work surface before purchase; a 30-litre capacity does not by itself indicate whether your chosen dish will fit.

Is the Ariston MWA23B still available?
CHOICE’s discontinued label and Ariston Australia’s continuing product listing do not settle whether a particular retailer has stock. The listing’s presence does not prove availability in your area, and the two-year warranty described on Ariston’s page should not be assumed to apply to every used, imported or otherwise differently sourced unit.
Before paying, confirm with the seller that the item is the MWA23B, is new or used as represented, is in stock, and comes with warranty coverage and service support applicable to your location. Treat any displayed price as time- and seller-specific.
