There is no verified confirmation that Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation – The Endless Seven-Day Journey or Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 4, 2027. The official Nintendo and Neos pages cited here document the earlier Nintendo Switch releases and a bundle containing both games, but do not confirm that date or a Switch 2 edition.
Is March 4, 2027 a confirmed Switch 2 release date?
No. The official Nintendo and Neos listings available for these games do not verify a Switch 2 release on March 4, 2027. Until Nintendo or publisher Neos announces that date directly, treat it as an unconfirmed claim rather than a release date.

Shiro and the Coal Town
Neos says Shiro and the Coal Town released on Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2024. That announcement describes those platforms; it does not confirm a Switch 2 version. Neos also reported that the Shin chan game series had sold more than 900,000 copies as of its 2025 report. That is a series-wide figure, not sales for either game individually.
What is included in the Shin chan bundle?
Nintendo’s New Zealand eShop lists a digital bundle containing Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation and Shiro and the Coal Town. The listing names Neos as publisher, notes that each game is also sold separately, and gives the bundle a required storage space of 4.1 GB. Availability and store details are regional, so check the eShop for your country before buying.

The bundle listing is for Nintendo Switch games. Its existence does not confirm a Switch 2 edition, a physical Switch 2 release or the March 4, 2027 date.
Does the bundle require a Switch 2 memory card?
No. Nintendo lists 4.1 GB as the space required for the New Zealand eShop bundle, but that figure alone does not mean you need an expansion card. Actual free-space needs can vary. If your console lacks space, Nintendo says you can remove software or add compatible storage; Switch 2 supports microSD Express cards for expandable storage.
