Yes. Shokz says the OpenRun Pro 2 is IP55-rated and suitable for rain and sweat during non-aquatic activities, so ordinary running in the rain is within its stated use case. It is water-resistant, not waterproof: do not swim or shower in it, and dry it fully before charging.
What IP55 means for a rainy run
Shokz describes the OpenRun Pro 2 as “resistant to sweat and water splashes, suitable for non-aquatic sports and activities.” Its Asia product page says the IP55 rating was reached under specific test conditions based on IEC 60529. That supports using the headphones for a typical rain run, but it is not a promise that they can withstand every downpour or exposure duration.

Shokz does not state a maximum time in rain or a rainfall-intensity threshold in the product and support guidance. The IP55 label should therefore be treated as a resistance rating, not a guarantee for unlimited exposure.
When not to wear them around water
Shokz excludes swimming, showering, seawater, and sauna use. Its regional guidance notes that shower vapor may enter through seams. A rain-running rating does not make the headphones suitable for immersion or for the hotter, more humid conditions of a shower or sauna.

Water resistance can also decline with wear and tear, according to Shokz. The rating describes the product under specified test conditions; it does not establish that an older or damaged pair will retain the same protection.
How to care for them after rain or sweat
- Do not charge them while wet. Shokz warns against charging after exposure until the headphones have dried.
- Remove surface water. Gently shake off water, then wipe the speaker mesh with a dry cloth or tissue.
- Let them air-dry. Leave them in a ventilated area for a few hours before charging. This is Shokz’s care guidance, not a guaranteed drying time for every condition.
How to compare rain suitability with other Shokz models
Compare the manufacturer’s stated water-resistance rating, its description of intended use, any excluded activities, and care instructions after exposure. Shokz lists OpenSwim Pro as an aquatic-use-oriented option, but that distinction does not mean OpenRun Pro 2 is unsuitable for rain. The product pages reviewed do not provide independent comparative rain testing, so they do not establish that one model is definitively better for running in wet weather.
