What is different between the two apps?
The core format is the same; the character is the difference. Each app lets children interact with a character’s face, add familiar Mario-world objects or enemies, and play peekaboo.

Can I play Hello, Peach! or Hello, Luigi! on Switch 2?
Yes, Nintendo lists both apps as supported on Nintendo Switch 2 and says game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch. Both listings identify handheld mode. For Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo cautions that compatibility and play experience may differ; it does not describe the apps as definitively incompatible. Do I need a Nintendo Account?
The Nintendo product listings confirm that the apps are free, but they do not establish whether a Nintendo Account must be created or linked to download or launch them. Yes, after downloading. Nintendo says there is no need to stay connected to the internet to play either application. An internet connection may still be needed for the initial download, depending on how you obtain the software.

How do the apps work?
The apps are simple touch experiences intended for interaction with a caregiver: poke, pull, stretch, or spin the character’s face, then open the ? Block menu to add things such as a Super Mushroom, Super Star, pipes, or enemies. Peekaboo is also included, and Boo may make a guest appearance.
Each app includes a sleep break after playing for a while. Nintendo does not specify a fixed timer duration. The feature can be turned off from the gear icon when the app starts.

Do I need a My Mario block?
No. The blocks are optional. Nintendo says character blocks from its My Mario wood block sets work as amiibo figures: tap a block while using the app to make the character shown on it appear. The apps’ touch interactions do not require a block.
