Collect these pieces because you enjoy the characters, games and visual design. Any resale upside should be treated as speculative until multiple completed transactions establish a pattern.

When collecting is a sensible choice
- You want a compact display of a particular game, house, character or emblem.
- You enjoy finding regional rewards and documenting where each piece came from.
- You are comfortable holding items for enjoyment without assuming they will appreciate.
- You can store packaging and protect the printed acrylic from scratches.
When an expensive purchase needs caution
- The seller uses “rare” without naming the release channel, region or quantity.
- The price is based on an asking price rather than a completed transaction.

The official Fortune’s Weave set: scarce access, uncertain value

GamesRadar hardware editor Rosalie Newcombe wrote that, “with Fire Emblem merch being such a rarity, I’d recommend you pick these up while there’s any stock left.” That is an editor’s opinion about merchandise availability, not a measured count of surviving sets or a guarantee of future appreciation.
Why a limited reward is not automatically valuable
A reward can be difficult to obtain and still sell cheaply. If many members redeem the same item during a short window, a large number of complete sets can appear on the secondary market at once. Owners may also sell simply because they do not collect Fortune’s Weave, creating supply that temporarily exceeds demand. Conversely, an older character-specific item can attract a high asking price while having too few completed sales to prove that buyers actually pay it.

Record whether all four designs are present, whether the original reward packaging remains, and which country’s My Nintendo program issued it. Those details let another collector compare like with like.

Call an item “scarce” only when you can explain the limitation, such as a United Kingdom-only reward with ended stock. Reserve “rare” for cases where that limitation is accompanied by credible availability or sales evidence. A low number of current listings by itself may simply mean sellers have not listed their stock.
What are Fire Emblem acrylic magnets made of?

Condition points that matter
- Face: Look for hairline scratches, scuffs, fingerprints trapped under film and cloudy patches.
- Edges: Check for chips, rough cuts and whitening at corners.
- Print layers: Confirm that colors are aligned and that no section is lifting or peeling.
- Back: Test whether the iron or magnetic component is firmly attached and free of rust.
- Packaging: Note creases, missing backing cards and evidence that the item was stored loose.
Do not use abrasive cleaners. Dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth; if necessary, use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Keep acrylic away from high heat, direct sunlight and solvents that can cloud the surface or weaken adhesive.

Official versus fan-made acrylic items

A defensible resale workflow
- Document the exact item. Record the game, character or banner, set name, number of pieces, release region and whether it came from My Nintendo, retail, a convention or another promotion.
- Grade condition honestly. Photograph every flaw and state whether protective film remains. If a piece is a display copy or B-grade, say so rather than describing it as new.
- Search completed listings first. Match the same design, completeness and condition. Separate sold results from unsold asks and note the sale date.
- Calculate your net. Account for marketplace fees, payment charges, postage, packaging and currency conversion before deciding whether an offer is worthwhile.
- Set a price range. Use several comparable completed sales when available. If only asking prices exist, label your own listing as an ask and avoid claiming that the figure is established value.

- Separate magnets with thin paper or film if their printed faces can touch.
- Keep packaging flat and dry; humidity can weaken adhesive and deform paper inserts.
