One owner wrote, “It gets fairly warm after a long use.” Infinity X1 says the 7,000L model has heat sensing and automatic dimming, but the advertised maximum of 7,000 lumens should not be read as a promise that it will sustain that output indefinitely.
How consistent are the battery and charging reports?
Owner experiences in the same thread were mixed: some said the battery held charge during light use, while others reported disappointing endurance at high settings or described a rechargeable pack that stopped charging, a unit that would not stay charged, or a corroded charging port. The discussion provides no denominator or verified diagnosis, so it cannot establish a failure rate or prove a design defect.

That gives owners an alternative power source, but the available owner comments do not establish predictable runtime across modes. Check the price at your local Costco and on the day you plan to buy: the available product pages do not establish a stable local price for the 7,000L model. For warranty eligibility, Infinity X1 says its products are sold through Costco and that purchases through Amazon or other third-party resellers are not eligible for its limited lifetime warranty. Review the manufacturer’s support and warranty information and the applicable retailer terms before purchasing. Costco’s listing notes that its satisfaction guarantee has exceptions and limitations.

How strong is the evidence behind the owner feedback?
The owner comments come from a single public discussion, posted November 7, 2024. They provide useful examples of what some buyers liked and disliked, but not a survey or controlled test. The sources cited here do not provide an independent laboratory measurement of the 7,000L model’s output, runtime, beam distance, or reliability.
A separate Infinity X1/Costco manual covers a different 5,000L flashlight and lists mode-specific FL1 figures, including 5,000 lumens for two hours on rechargeable High.
