ARC Raiders launched on October 30, 2025, for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and GeForce NOW. On PC, Embark targets 1080p at 60 fps on minimum hardware, 1440p at 60 fps on recommended hardware, and 1440p at 90 fps on its separate Epic preset. The game is online multiplayer-only, supports solo runs and teams of two or three, and offers cross-platform social play between PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
There is no PS4 version. Every player needs an internet connection, an Embark ID and an account for the platform they use. PS5 players also need PlayStation Plus Essential for online play.

ARC Raiders PC requirements at a glance
These are Embark’s published hardware tiers for the Windows version. They are performance targets rather than guarantees: graphics drivers, cooling, background applications, laptop power limits and in-game settings can all change the result.

Steam independently lists Windows 10 64-bit, 12GB minimum memory, 16GB recommended memory and DirectX 12. A storage requirement is not stated in the published specifications, so leave additional drive space available for the game, updates and shader caches rather than relying on an unverified number.

- Do not mix memory kits. Memory kits are sold in matched kits that are designed to run together as a set. Mixing memory kits will result in stability issues or system failure.
What the three tiers mean
- Minimum: the entry point for a 1080p, low-settings target. A computer that only just meets this tier has less headroom for recording, browser tabs or future updates.
- Recommended: the sensible target for a new gaming PC or an upgrade if you want high settings at 1440p and 60 fps.
- Epic: a higher-end target for Epic settings and 1440p/90 fps with resolution scaling. It is not required to play.
No independent benchmark figure is established by the official listings. Do not treat the targets above as a promise that every machine with the same parts will hold a fixed frame rate in every scene.
How to check whether your PC can run ARC Raiders
- Confirm Windows and DirectX: press
Windows+R, enterwinver, and verify that you are using a 64-bit edition of Windows 10 or newer. Then pressWindows+Ragain, rundxdiag, and check the DirectX version on the System tab. - Identify your processor and memory: open
Settings > System > About. Compare the listed CPU model and installed RAM with the table. Having 12GB meets the minimum; 16GB is the recommended tier. - Identify the graphics processor: open
Settings > System > Display > Advanced display, or use the Display tab indxdiag. On a desktop, make sure the game is connected to the discrete GPU rather than an integrated graphics chip. - Compare the whole tier: the CPU, GPU, memory, operating system and DirectX requirement all matter. A fast processor does not compensate for a graphics card below the required class, and extra RAM does not replace missing GPU capability.
- Check laptop constraints: laptop versions of a GPU can perform differently from desktop cards with the same family name. Check the manufacturer’s power mode, cooling condition and upgrade options before assuming a desktop-equivalent result.
What to upgrade if your system falls short
Upgrade decisions should follow the component that misses the target, not just the newest part you can buy.

If you have less than 16GB of RAM
Moving to a compatible 16GB kit is the clearest upgrade path because 16GB is Embark’s recommended memory tier. Verify whether the motherboard uses DDR4 or DDR5, whether it has an open slot, and whether your current modules can be mixed safely. Laptops may have soldered memory or a single accessible slot, so check the service manual first.
If the graphics card is below recommended
Compare the cost of an RTX 2070-class, RX 5700 XT-class or Arc B570-class replacement with the cost of replacing the entire computer. Before buying, check the power supply’s available wattage and connectors, the case’s maximum card length and thickness, motherboard slot clearance and the display outputs you need. The Epic tier requires substantially more GPU capability, such as an RTX 4070 Ti/RTX 5070-class card or RX 7900 XTX.

If the processor is below minimum
A CPU upgrade can require a new motherboard and sometimes new memory. Check the socket, firmware support, cooler compatibility and power delivery before ordering. If several major components are below minimum, a replacement system is often easier to validate than a sequence of partial upgrades.

Embark describes seamless social play across PlayStation, Xbox and PC. That means players on those systems can form social groups across platforms rather than being limited to one hardware family. Your exact account-linking and voice-chat options can depend on the platform settings you use.

Does ARC Raiders run on PS4?
No. The official PlayStation listing identifies the game as compatible with PS5 consoles, including PS5 Pro, and does not list a PS4 edition. A PS4 cannot be used as a substitute for the PS5 version.

Is ARC Raiders on Xbox?
Yes. It is available on Xbox Series X|S. The listed console generation is current-generation Xbox; the published platform list does not include Xbox One.

Online play, solo runs and party sizes
ARC Raiders is online multiplayer-only. “Solo” means going Topside as one Raider, not playing an offline campaign without a network connection. You can also play in teams of two or three.
The PlayStation product page states that the PS5 version supports up to 21 online players simultaneously. That figure describes the supported online player count on that product listing; it is not a promise that every activity will place 21 people in one encounter.
Accounts and connection requirements
- An internet connection is required because there is no offline mode.
- An Embark ID is required, along with an account for the third-party platform you use.
- Epic’s listing specifies Epic ID or Embark ID login requirements for its PC version.
- PS5 online play requires PlayStation Plus Essential.
Release date and edition pricing
Steam, PlayStation and Epic list October 30, 2025, as the release date. Epic listed the base game at $39.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $59.99 when checked on October 18, 2026. Those are the prices shown for that storefront and date; regional pricing, taxes, currency conversion and later promotions can change the amount, and the same price should not be assumed for every platform.

Before buying or downloading
- Match your CPU and GPU to the same requirement tier instead of comparing only brand names or VRAM.
- Confirm Windows is 64-bit and supports DirectX 12.
- Make sure your system has 16GB RAM if you want the recommended target and that your storage has room for the installation and updates.
- On a laptop, verify that the discrete GPU is enabled and that the charger and performance profile are used while gaming.
If performance is worse than the target
- Install current graphics drivers from your GPU manufacturer and restart the PC.
- Close unnecessary background programs, overlays and recording tools to restore CPU and memory headroom.
- Check temperatures and fan operation; thermal throttling can lower clock speeds even when the parts meet the specification.
- Use the low preset and 1080p target first if you are near minimum hardware, then raise individual settings gradually.
- If your GPU, CPU or memory remains below the published tier, treat an upgrade as the durable fix rather than expecting a setting to overcome missing hardware.
These steps cannot guarantee a particular frame rate. Embark’s figures are official targets, while real performance varies by system configuration and software state.

Bottom line for prospective players
For PC, target at least the recommended tier if you want a comfortable 1440p experience: a Core i5-9600K/Ryzen 5 3600-class CPU, 16GB RAM and an RTX 2070/RX 5700 XT/Arc B570-class GPU. Minimum hardware is aimed at low settings and 1080p/60 fps, while the Epic tier is for higher settings and 1440p/90 fps. Console players need a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S; PS4 is not supported. Whichever platform you choose, plan on an internet connection, an Embark ID and cross-platform social play with PC, PlayStation and Xbox users.
