When does the ARC Raiders free weekend start and end?
Embark’s October 2, 2026 announcement sets the free-play window for October 8 at 09:00 UTC through October 12 at 08:00 UTC. That is four days by the UTC clock. Convert both times to your local time zone if you need to plan around the opening or cutoff.

How to download ARC Raiders during the free weekend
- On PC: Open Steam and search for ARC Raiders, or go to the official ARC Raiders Steam listing.
- On Xbox or PlayStation: Open your console’s store and search for ARC Raiders during the free-play period. Embark confirms both platform families but does not provide exact store-menu steps or direct console store links in its announcement.
- Install and launch: Download the game from the relevant platform store and launch it while the offer is active. Store layouts can vary by region.
What you need to play
Embark’s event page says players need an internet connection, an Embark ID, an account for the relevant third-party platform, and acceptance of Embark’s Terms of Service and End User License Agreement. The page gives an age restriction of 13+.

What to know about Frozen Trail and Pendola Pass
The free-play window overlaps the launch of Frozen Trail, which Embark describes as its biggest update since launch. New players can access Pendola Pass immediately if they team up with a player who has already unlocked the map; Embark does not describe this as unrestricted standalone access for every new player.
