The announcement describes it as a try-before-you-buy event. These are UTC times, so check the equivalent local time for your region. Embark’s October 2 announcement says the event grants access to the full game.

The event coincides with the arrival of Frozen Trail. New players can enter Pendola Pass if they team up with players who have already unlocked it; the announcement does not describe this as an unconditional map unlock for every newcomer.

Embark has not stated whether event progress will carry over after free access ends on October 12. The announcement confirms full-game access during the event and frames it as a chance to try the game before buying, but it does not confirm either a progress transfer or a wipe. Treat carryover as unconfirmed unless Embark publishes a direct update.

Does ARC Raiders have crossplay?
Yes. The official site says ARC Raiders supports social play across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Crossplay means you can play socially with friends on other supported platforms; it is distinct from moving your own progression between platforms. The official ARC Raiders site also lists Epic Games Store and GeForce NOW among places to play, but the site’s broad cross-platform social-play statement does not specify every possible platform pairing.
Does ARC Raiders have cross-progression?
Yes, through an Embark ID. Embark’s Help Center says the ID enables cross-progression between Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is also required to play ARC Raiders and supports cross-platform play with friends on supported systems. The Help Center article was last updated June 16, 2026. What is an Embark ID, and how should I link platforms?
An Embark ID is the account identity that links supported platform accounts and keeps ARC Raiders progress and cosmetics associated with one account. If you move to another platform, link that platform account to your existing Embark ID rather than creating or selecting a different one.

- Sign in to the Embark ID you already use for ARC Raiders.
- Link the account for the additional platform to that same Embark ID, following Embark’s account-linking guide.
- Before unlinking or changing accounts, review the consequences in Embark’s linking and unlinking guide.
Embark allows one account per platform for Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games, Discord, and Twitch. Progress and cosmetics remain tied to the Embark ID; relinking the same platform account to a different Embark ID does not transfer the old progress, earned rewards, or cosmetics. Purchased items may remain tied to the platform where they were bought. Unlinking every third-party game account permanently deletes the Embark ID and its ARC Raiders and THE FINALS progress and cosmetics. The guide was last updated April 28, 2026.

What does Frozen Trail add during the event?
Frozen Trail is scheduled to arrive on October 8, alongside the free-play period. Embark says it introduces two Reward Passes: Frozen Trail and Legacy. Frozen Trail has 60 levels, with Free and Premium options. The free track includes base outfits, cosmetics, weapons, gadgets, items, and up to 200 Raider Tokens; the Premium track adds cosmetics and Raider Tokens, but not gameplay-benefiting weapons or gadgets.
