What is Appulse?
Appulse is an upcoming single-player PC game from French studio Le Rado, published by Raw Fury. It combines three systems: a top-down shooter, roguelite progression and pinball-inspired movement. Raw Fury describes it as “a fast-paced, unique gaming experience: An intense top-down shooter roguelite inspired by pinball mechanics.”

The pinball influence is central rather than cosmetic. Flippers help propel and redirect the player’s ball, while weapon recoil also affects movement. Shooting therefore serves two purposes: damaging enemies and steering through the arena. Success depends on choosing when to fire for offense and when to use recoil or flippers to change position.

No dated November 26 launch has been confirmed by Steam or Raw Fury. Steam currently shows only “planned release: 2026,” and Raw Fury’s official pages say the game is coming soon to PC through Steam. The November 26 date should therefore be treated as unconfirmed until one of those sources publishes a day-and-date announcement.

How the gameplay and progression work
Pinball-style combat movement
You control a ball-like character in top-down arenas. Flippers and recoil provide movement options, making weapon selection and firing direction part of navigation. This creates a different rhythm from a conventional twin-stick shooter, where shooting normally has no effect on positioning.

Perk and weapon builds
Level-ups present perk choices that can change the ball’s abilities and weapons. Those choices support different runs and give the roguelite structure its build-crafting layer. The available material does not establish a final perk count, weapon list or balance details.
Fleet expansion
The wider campaign is set in space. Players can board or conquer additional ships, expand a fleet, and pursue quests and upgrades connected to that setting. These systems add longer-term goals beyond surviving an individual combat encounter.

The conflict
The player protects the Vektor Dynamics fleet while fighting invading robots associated with the Iron Accord. That premise supplies the campaign’s central conflict, but a complete story outline has not yet been published.

Can you use a controller?
Yes. A secondary game overview documents support for an Xbox-compatible controller as well as mouse and keyboard. On PC, a wired or wireless Xbox controller is therefore an optional setup choice. Players who prefer precise cursor aiming may favor mouse and keyboard, while a controller may feel more natural for analog movement and trigger-based firing; the best choice depends on how the flipper-and-recoil movement feels in the demo.
What to expect from the demo and launch
The demo lets players evaluate the game’s defining idea before the full release: using flippers, weapon recoil and shooting direction together. It is also the practical way to check controller behavior on your own PC, since the final control tuning has not been published.
