WiiMednafen is a free, partial Mednafen port for the Wii. It emulates systems including Game Boy and Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Gear, Lynx, Mega Drive/Genesis, NES, Neo Geo Pocket, PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16, SuperGrafx, PC-FX, Master System, Virtual Boy, and WonderSwan. Games and CD images can be loaded from SD cards, USB devices, or SMB network shares. Supported controllers include Wii Remote, Wii Remote with Nunchuk, Classic Controller or Pro, and GameCube controller. Video options include widescreen, 16:9 correction, and double-strike 240p mode, except for Virtual Boy. Save states and video filters are supported. Experimental rewind works only with some emulators and may affect stability. CD support covers CUE+BIN and CUE+ISO with Ogg Vorbis or MusePack audio; MP3, WAV, and FLAC are unsupported. The project describes an early release with limited testing and a minimal front end.

Who it is for

It suits Wii owners who want one emulator covering many older console and handheld systems. Users should be comfortable with early software and its documented limitations.
