What Wayscript is

Wayscript is a writing studio for novels, screenplays, and branching video game narratives. Its shared workspace combines drafting with planning, a story bible, and manuscript analysis. In the editor, characters, places, and items can connect to story-bible entries; a project dictionary and autocorrect help maintain consistency. Screenwriters can write in Fountain and import or export Final Draft files. For game narratives, Wayscript provides quest graphs, branching flows, live playtesting, and exports for ink and Yarn. An optional Reviewer critiques passages, scenes, or full manuscripts rather than writing prose. Writing is saved to the user’s device first and works offline; encrypted cloud sync runs automatically on every plan and requires an account. Exports include Markdown, DOCX, EPUB, and PDF, while advanced export formatting is paid-only. The Free plan costs nothing and permits three projects at a time, with 250 MB for research attachments; it does not include Reviewer. Author costs $8 a month, and Author + Reviewer costs $14 a month. AI features are opt-in and paid-only, and submitted text is not used to train AI models. Wayscript has apps for Android and iOS as well as Linux, macOS, Windows, and web access.
