Tau Mail
What Tau Mail is
Tau Mail is an email service for Android, iOS, and the web. It says messages are encrypted on your device before sending, with keys held only by you and your recipient. Tau Mail also says it does not scan inboxes to build advertising profiles and advertises zero tracking. Its spam detection and priority sorting run on-device without uploading message content, according to the service. The mobile apps include inbox sync, a calendar, and contacts; webmail uses the same login and needs no installation. You can use your own domain with full DNS control. Tau Mail offers a free plan with 1 GB of encrypted storage, one custom alias, standard spam filtering, and community support. Pro costs $8 a month and includes 50 GB of encrypted storage, five custom domains, priority routing, and advanced filters. Business costs $16 a month and adds unlimited storage, a team admin console, audit trail exports, and dedicated support. The Android beta listing includes push notifications. On iOS, remote push works while the app is open; full background push is available after APNs is configured. The site footer identifies Tau Technology Group.
