What TapVoter is

TapVoter is a web service for running online elections, polls, quizzes, and multi-question surveys. Organizers can choose among five election methods: Direct, Ranked Choice (IRV), STAR, Approval, and Multi-Winner voting. Its Elections — Free Forever plan allows unlimited elections for up to 10,000 voters and includes real-time results, CSV import and export, daily voting windows, and an audit center. Polls, quizzes, and surveys have a separate free tier with limits on active items and responses or attempts; TapVoter Pro adds features such as rating scales, image options, quiz timers, weighted scoring, PDF reports, and analytics.

TapVoter supports 30 interface languages, custom label overrides, and right-to-left languages including Arabic and Hebrew. Election features include single-use voter keys that expire when an election ends, anonymous ballot storage separate from voter identities, and a public log of election events with a receipt code for each ballot. Bulk voter import supports up to 500 voters at once. Free-tier poll and election data is permanently deleted 90 days after an item ends; Pro includes indefinite election data retention. The service is freemium, with TapVoter Pro listed at $4.99 a month or $49/yr.

Limits

The free polls, quizzes, and surveys tier permits one active poll with 100 responses, one active quiz with 20 attempts, and one active survey with 25 responses. Getting started

1. Open https://tapvoter.com/.
2. Choose Elections — Free Forever for elections or the Free Tier for polls, quizzes, and surveys.
3. Use the web interface to create an election, poll, quiz, or survey.
4. For an election, select one of the five supported voting methods.
5. Import voter details by CSV if needed; bulk imports support up to 500 voters at once.
